Falling Sky [active/open]
Character(s): Anyone and everyone
Content: The domes are falling!
Setting: Entirety of Paixao
Time: Week 42
Warnings: Probably violence and injury.
Note: This will be multi-thread style. Feel free to toss your characters wherever they may be!
There was a loud bang and suddenly the painted skies of Paixao began to crack. Angels and clouds separated from the mural they had once been apart of and began to fell to the earth, crushing anyone and anything they managed to land on.
They were the first, but they certainly weren't the last.

"Old man!" he called out, as he neared his father who he'd just watched catch a large chunk of the ceiling. In Laharl's arms was his mother, unconscious.

Krichevskoy twisted his body, guiding the chunk of ceiling to a heavy rest nearby, and ran over to Laharl's side, looking from him to Gwen and back again. "Are you all right? What happened? Is she...?" Laharl seemed too... together for that to be the case, but he still couldn't help but worry.

"The apartment just started collapsing around us," he explained, not feeling like he really needed to waste his breath explaining what probably caused it--it was pretty obvious.

"I gotta go find her... Get Mom somewhere safe."
While Flonne could be perfectly fine, at the same time, he wasn't leaving the city without her. "We'll meet up with you later."

She opened her eyes and tilted her head to the side, against his chest, to look up at her husband, and awkwardly patted him. "It's alright, honey." Paixao falling around them aside.

He glanced down at her with concern. "Are you doing all right?" he asked her. Laharl had given him an answer, but her...

So in the process of trying to tell him that she was fine, she started to cough again, which dissolved into a strange chuckle. Well alright. No completely hiding it. "I'll manage," she said at last.

It was quicker than just running, and hopefully smoother.

"I wish I could help," she said with a sigh, but she did acknowledge her limits when family wasn't involved. Still, it pained her to not be down there, helping. She tucked her face back against him. "At least I know you and Laharl and Flonne are safe..." She smiled, thinking about the latter two.

Krichevskoy managed to quirk a small smile of his own. "It would take more than this to defeat me. Especially now."

Wait.
Krichevskoy frowned. "Did Laharl carry you there?" He thought Laharl was carrying her at the time, but it had been a minor part of everything else that had been occurring at the time. Only now did the thought occur to him that Laharl should not have been able to do that.
no subject
"He did," was all she said, giving him time to keep connecting the dots.
no subject
Well, that could be taken care of once they were all safe.
"Nn, I suppose it is just good that he did."

Krichevskoy landed not too far outside the gate, his cape regaining its former shape. He took a few more steps and hesitantly turned around to look at the damage.
It was terrible. The spots where one could see inside were getting larger and larger, and he could hear the people screaming inside. Krichevskoy could only stare at the chaos, his stomach twisting.
He knew he shouldn't have looked. It hurt more than he thought it would have.
no subject
"Don't look."
Gwen had seen enough already for the two of them.

"Krichevskoy," she said his name with almost... command. "You have to go back. You have to help everyone you can. Double that, to make up for what I can't do. I can make it to the church," which was obvious where he was taking her, there was nothing else out this way. "And I'm sure there's others already near it." If not, she could start healing herself in spurts once she rested. One wasn't supposed to be their own doctor, but she would be able to manage until there were others.
"You're the most powerful man I know." He was never a Mid-Boss to her. "You have to be there."
no subject
"If we find someone on the way I will go earlier, but only then."
no subject
"Once I'm safe, then," she confirmed.
Once she was healed, maybe she could try to set things up for others at the church. Maybe she could ask Krichevskoy to bring back supplies they could use until the city finished shifting and was stable again. Blankets, that sort of thing. Stuff they couldn't find on the other floors.
