Falling Sky [active/open]
Character(s): Anyone and everyone
Content: The domes are falling!
Setting: Entirety of Paixao
Time: Week 42
Warnings: Probably violence and injury.
Note: This will be multi-thread style. Feel free to toss your characters wherever they may be!
There was a loud bang and suddenly the painted skies of Paixao began to crack. Angels and clouds separated from the mural they had once been apart of and began to fell to the earth, crushing anyone and anything they managed to land on.
They were the first, but they certainly weren't the last.

Wait.
Krichevskoy frowned. "Did Laharl carry you there?" He thought Laharl was carrying her at the time, but it had been a minor part of everything else that had been occurring at the time. Only now did the thought occur to him that Laharl should not have been able to do that.

"He did," was all she said, giving him time to keep connecting the dots.
no subject
Well, that could be taken care of once they were all safe.
"Nn, I suppose it is just good that he did."

Krichevskoy landed not too far outside the gate, his cape regaining its former shape. He took a few more steps and hesitantly turned around to look at the damage.
It was terrible. The spots where one could see inside were getting larger and larger, and he could hear the people screaming inside. Krichevskoy could only stare at the chaos, his stomach twisting.
He knew he shouldn't have looked. It hurt more than he thought it would have.

"Don't look."
Gwen had seen enough already for the two of them.

"Krichevskoy," she said his name with almost... command. "You have to go back. You have to help everyone you can. Double that, to make up for what I can't do. I can make it to the church," which was obvious where he was taking her, there was nothing else out this way. "And I'm sure there's others already near it." If not, she could start healing herself in spurts once she rested. One wasn't supposed to be their own doctor, but she would be able to manage until there were others.
"You're the most powerful man I know." He was never a Mid-Boss to her. "You have to be there."
no subject
"If we find someone on the way I will go earlier, but only then."
no subject
"Once I'm safe, then," she confirmed.
Once she was healed, maybe she could try to set things up for others at the church. Maybe she could ask Krichevskoy to bring back supplies they could use until the city finished shifting and was stable again. Blankets, that sort of thing. Stuff they couldn't find on the other floors.

They had said their home had been destroyed. So many memories lost in the rubble. Memories of a happy family being rebuilt, of reunitings and nights spent together after so many centuries.
All of that... gone.
He knew it couldn't stay. They were going to have to leave that apartment behind sometime in order to go home. But he didn't expect it to be like this.
Krichevskoy set Gwen down gently. "I may something in my inventory," he murmured, and started perusing through it. He couldn't guarantee the taste would be good to her, though.

She sat with her legs stretched out, leaning her upper body back to give her insides any breathing room it might need. She tried to remember if, before, she could see the domed city from the church. Had she ever turned around to look when she had gone to the other floors? She just couldn't remember.
"Even if it's something small, it'll help. I just need a start, some energy and rest, and I'll be able to work on healing myself."

"Bottom's up." Toasting to Krichevksoy, she downed the Soma. It was about as horrid as she expected it would be, but she was quickly feeling the effects coast through her. She let out a breath and set down the bottle, then finally began making a mental check of where she felt hurt the most and what needed healing first, and started to get to work. At least she wasn't nodding off anymore.
"I can manage things here," she said to him without looking, staying sharply focused on her healing.

He didn't move for a moment, watching Gwen closely with a small frown, but after that moment had passed and he was sure she really was going to be all right and she was setting about to healing herself, he nodded. "Be safe," he told her. "Laharl and Flonne should be here soon."
With that, Krichevskoy turned, took a few steps, and flew off back toward the domes.
THEN LATER...
"Mom!"
His steps quickened as he rushed towards her, completely forgetting he still had a grip on Flonne.
no subject
And it spared her from trying to put into words her feelings that, of all times, decided to manifest out in the open.
Poking her head to the side behind Laharl, she gazed down at Gwen in silent concern.
no subject
And speaking of family... there was Laharl and Flonne. Gwen wondered if they had spoken at all about Flonne's little kiss that she had caught sight of, but it was probably unlikely. Gwen might just be observing the two of them a bit more than before now though...
...it just made her heart swell.
She stood and moved to meet them, smiling. "Good, you two made it. I sent Krichevskoy back to the city to help. Are either of you hurt?"
no subject
Laharl shook his head, biting his tongue from the 'of course not', he almost uttered. "I'm... fine, Mom," he replied, glancing back at Flonne, "And she is... too." Mid-sentence he turned red, realizing he still had his hand around Flonne's wrist.
Her wrist was promptly dropped, arm quickly wrapping across his chest, the other following, as he quickly now looked away. Hopefully no one they'd passed on the way had been paying any attention.

Gwen had to turn away as she caught the two blushing, she had to hide the smile that broke out over her face. Surely it would only embarrass them more. She busied herself with... well... there wasn't much for her to busy herself with now, and took instead to fiddling with the empty Soma bottle that she still had on hand.
"Oh! It's no worry, Flonne. I took care of it myself after Krichevskoy brought me here." She glanced over her shoulder to Flonne, and at least her large, open smile could be attested to her feeling better and not at all because of how the two were acting.
no subject
"Where'd he go then?" he then asked, realizing his father didn't seem to be around here at all.

no subject
He better not be, anyway, otherwise she's sending him right on back, and maybe having him bring her with him, too.
no subject
"I... guess we should just wait for him here," Laharl said after a moments thought.
