There was a loud bang and suddenly the painted skies of Paixao began to crack. Angels and clouds separated from the mural they had once been apart of and began to fell to the earth, crushing anyone and anything they managed to land on.

They were the first, but they certainly weren't the last.

His knees were still in a bit of a jelly-like state, so Jade's pat on the back sent in reeling forward more than it normally would have. "N-nothing yet..." he groaned, willing them to stablitize themselves again as he attempted to stand back up straight.

"I'll try again... but next time... maybe try not to throw the bystanders so far, would you?!" Especially the female ones, Jade -- but that went without saying. For some reason though -- the image of the girl falling from above... seemed to stick with him more than previous encounters he'd had with the womanly kind...

"I knew you'd be able to catch her," Jade explained simply, heading down the alley. But he watched Guy carefully from the corner of his eye. When they first met up, Guy had mentioned he wasn't from the same point in time as the others. Likely that meant he had no idea what the root of his trauma was. It wasn't for Jade to tell him, of course...but that didn't mean he couldn't try to trigger the memory when the opportunity arose.

"With any luck, Luke will be with Tear. I'd hate to have Luke cause a catastrophe trying to save the day."

"He won't," Guy stated firmly. As thought somehow he just knew. The memories of how Luke had been... and how he must have felt... he really was nothing like the way Guy had come accustomed to. It seemed like he really did, and had -- wanted to change.

"Come on, we're almost there!"
