Falling Sky [active/open]

Character(s): Anyone and everyone
Content: The domes are falling!
Setting: Entirety of Paixao
Time: Week 42
Warnings: Probably violence and injury.
Note: This will be multi-thread style. Feel free to toss your characters wherever they may be!

There was a loud bang and suddenly the painted skies of Paixao began to crack. Angels and clouds separated from the mural they had once been apart of and began to fell to the earth, crushing anyone and anything they managed to land on.

They were the first, but they certainly weren't the last.

"Wouldn't dream of it!" he was almost chuckling, as he pulled her forward. If there was ever a time where his agility and endurance from sport were going to pay off -- this was it. He dodged some of the smaller pieces expertly, not even turning down the speed at which he ran in the process. There was no time to slow down. As he weaved his way in and out -- the fact that Yuna and the kid didn't seem to be around anymore crossed his mind, something he even felt thankful for in a time like this.

"We gotta get to one of the gates!" he called back, tugging on Meg's arm a little harder, and pulling her into a protective embrace as another pillar near-by gave way, attempting to shield her, and himself, as he buried his face into her hair until the dust settled.

It was almost like a dance, the way he pulled and pushed her and held her as they ran to safety. She was helpless to do anything but let him guide her, but that was okay. For the first time in a very long time, she trusted someone. She trusted him.

When he looked down at her, she smiled. The whole world could crumble and she wouldn't care as long as she had Jecht.

Jecht was entirely focused on the matter at hand. He didn't pause for rest until, finally, they reached the safe limits of one of the gates. Breathing a little heavier, he worked to control it, exhaling from his nose even though it was obvious that it took more stamina than he was willing to admit.

"Made it," he commented, as though there had ever been a doubt. He looked around at the small crowds forming, locals and foreigners alike, and scratched the back of his head. "Looks like some of the others got pretty lucky, too."
