Urd sat in mid-air, floating casually as she watched the wide shop window in thought. Though she'd opened up the shop for all the right reasons -- new people needing guidance, meeting those with magical skill to help keep Shantotto's curse at bay -- she had to admit it was also a way to hide from everything going on in her personal life. She needed a retreat from Genie and Eden and all the problems therein. She wasn't hiding...she was just...taking a breather.

Smiling wryly, she sighed and closed her eyes. Hopefully people would come by, or this whole attempt to get her mind off her troubles would hardly work.

Vyers paused in his examination of the waistcoat's fabric at Urd's voice. "That is what this is for?" he asked, a bit incredulous. He flashed the goddess a look before his gaze went back to the coat.

The quality of it was incredible, he supposed, obvious bribe or no. And the potion incident was some time ago. "I suppose I can be convinced to let the matter go."

All in the past, huh? Timon raised a brow at the goddess before turning his attention back to the coat. Vyers appeared to have bought into the bribe, convinced it was well of enough worth. He, however, still had his doubts. It was ultimately up to the demon but Timon could not help but feel as though it were a lousy bargain. He nudged Vyers in the side of the head with his elbow and spoke lowly into his ear so that Urd could not hear.

“Is your dignity really worth some snazzy coat?” the meerkat asked, looking about as impressed as he sounded. Vyers could certainly do better. Maybe if he kept her talking he could get something else out of the goddess her, something of more value to the two of them.

Now that Vyers thought about it, Timon had a point as well, didn't he? Vyers could possibly get a little more out of this if he played his cards right... Ah, but that was too selfish of him, wasn't it? He put a finger to his lips and "hm"ed softly in thought.

Well, Urd certainly wasn't in a good enough mood for him to try and push things in that direction anyway. But...

Ah, Timon wasn't distracted enough for him to ask about capes again, either.

Shopping trips were rather complicated when these two were involved, weren't they?

"...In any case, I assume tending to this shop is not all that you have been up to?" he asked, hoping to steer the conversation away from fashion for the time being.

Timon sent a dirty look Urd’s way and rubbed his head. “Hey!” Jealousy could easily have played a part in the equation but overall it was his knowledge of a bad bargain that made him speak up. He had played enough people to recognize his used car salesmen charm on almost anyone. In fact, Vyers was forced to deal with it more than anyone: Timon’s idea of splitting chores ‘evenly’ sixty-forty, his empty promise of picking up the tab ‘next time’, and endless list of excuses… How the demon had yet to kill him was truly a mystery.

The meerkats jaw dropped agape at Vyers’ change in subject, a sign that he had chosen to accept Urd’s gift. Normally Timon would have taken it upon himself to enlighten the demon of his mistake right there and then, but they would have the entire walk home for him to do so. Besides, Timon had as little intention of dampening Urd’s mood as Vyers had. Though knowing the meerkat he probably would anyway.

Looking away from the pair, he glanced around the shop and took in the unfamiliar sights and smells.
