A few more strokes of the broom against the floor shoved the last plumes of dirt away into the bare streets. Iroh twirled it from one hand to the other and placed it away in the corner of the room, flooded with sunlight and warmth. "All ready!" he announced with excitement, looking over the front door banner that read WELCOME TO THE GOLDEN TURTLE TEA PARTY!

[ooc: Party style threading. Comments are considered exclusive conversations, so reply to the actual comments instead of the entry if you want to be a part of that conversation. Iroh will be by your table shortly. ]

Oh it has been a while since the Mad Hatter has been to a tea party that wasn’t hosted by him. Walking into this place, he clapped his gloved hands together in delight. After all, there were SO many teacups almost everywhere and anywhere. Almost at once the Hatter rushed over to one of the tables and sat down in his seat. Giggling in delight.

“This is just lovely! It’s too bad the March Hare nor the Dormouse are not here to join me they would enjoy this, certainly!” the Mad Hatter spoke to himself as he admired all that way around him, being easily distracted by the slightest glint of something shiny.

Hatter turned on sound of the familiar voice. Ah! There he is, the man himself, the main gentleman! Iroh! Smiling, the Mad Hatter waved up at him before speaking, “Oh, no. Most sadly they are not here with us, still back in my home world I’m afraid, Wonderland,” He gestured out, “But most assuredly they are the closest and the most wondrous friends of mine. All mad you know, like me, but only the best type of mad of course!”

Giving out a giggle the Mad Hatter leaned back in his chair, having a friendly conversation was very good for him he thought to himself as he spoke, “If ever they should come here though, I’ll be sure to introduce you at once! Have you close friends here yourself from your own world? Or have you already lived here before?”

[identity profile] inthistyle.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
“Time? Time?” Hatter almost jumped up, but then remembered he was no longer hounded by that dastardly audacious Father Time, “Oh pardon me! I was worried time was catching up to me again. You see Father Time has stopped time back in my world. I am ever so lucky he is not here!” It didn’t help the fact that he was about to have some tea that he started to worry about time, but it wasn’t like he had no time at all. It wouldn’t be good at all!

Toph walked in to the tea shop with a small smile on her face. She could feel that Iroh was there, and she took a seat at a nearby table and propped her feet up on it, leaning back in her chair.

"It's been a while since we had tea, huh?" She spoke loudly, trying to get the old man's attention.

"Do you have the kind we had when we met? That was good!" Toph pulled her legs back and leaned forward. "Looks like you've been getting a lot of business. Glad I can help." She grinned and slammed some emerald leaves on the table.

Strolling into the teashop, Yzma arrived at the scene. Dressed up quite fancily, long feathers coming out of her violet hat, but that wasn’t so unusual for her. She adjusted her boa as she sat down in one of the tables in the shade, as gracefully as one old lady could in a seat, after all a diva knows no limit on elegance.

Yzma looked around her, taking in the scenery around her. Honestly she was much more use to being in the dark for the most part, but it wasn’t like she was allergic to sunlight or anything. Yzma does get out when she can and when it’s necessary, but rather keep to herself than anything else.

Glancing upward to Iroh, it was so pleasant to have someone finally act like a proper gentleman around here. It was ever so rare that one would at least know the correct way with her. Though she cannot help it if she so picky, but to her, she knows she deserves only the best. Yzma crossed her legs in her long dress as she turned toward him.

“Why thank you Iroh, it’s a pleasure to see you as well. How have you been holding up my dear?” she asked, crossing her hands across her arms that now leaned against the table.

Tea parties had never really been exactly Cid's thing. Too damned girly, not to mention the whole 'party' thing. But he wasn't about to turn down the prospect of decent tea all the same. Not when the city was so criminally lacking in it in the first place. He'd just have to be careful to not let Strife here about him going to something with such a frilly name.

Not, he had to admit, that that was gonna be hard. No one could really call him the inquisitive type anyway. Still, there was a slight moment of hesitation as he stepped in the door. Wouldn't do to have someone catch sight of him.

Well, Cid had to say he hadn't expected quite that sort of greeting. But he wasn't sure he could complain about it either. If he was going to be here he might as well pretend that it was just another sort of tea shop. Hell, that was what was, after all.

"What kinds have you got?"

Megara stood outside the tea shop, looking up at the banner with dread. Did she really want to get herself attached to more people, now that Hades was still around? She shook her head, frowning at her own idiocy. Stupid. It's just tea. No one's asking to be your best friend. One dainty sandaled foot in front of the other, she moved inside.

She moved to the side, taking in the shop and the customers.

"Uh, oh...th-thanks," she mumbled, a bit taken aback by the storm of warmth and friendliness that greeted her in this unassuming old man. Before she could stop herself, she backed away from his hand, arms crossed. She attempted a smile, something a bit crooked and queasy and tried to cover up her discomfort. "It's just you here, huh?"

Lenne entered the shop confidently, the siren call of a tea party was just too strong to resist. She scoped out the available tables for a moment before turning back to her companion.

"How about that one there, by the window?" She suggested with a smile, pointing out the table she had in mind.

Yuna was just glad she could spend a little more time with Lenne than they'd been offered before. She'd been happy to hear that her friend was back and now she wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to really get to know the other girl.

She smiled at Lenne's suggestion and nodded. "That sounds good," she answered, moving towards the table Lenne had indicated. "I'm so glad we could do this. It's been too long since we talked."

"Oh, hi there!" Lenne greeted Iroh. He was quick, they'd only just settled in, and she hadn't really had a chance to peruse a menu. But that really made no difference, she wasn't feeling picky.

"It's been a long time since I've had a good cup of tea... what would you recommend?" she asked Iroh sincerely, but also casting a glance to Yuna in case she had any suggestions.
