A few more strokes of the broom against the floor shoved the last plumes of dirt away into the bare streets. Iroh twirled it from one hand to the other and placed it away in the corner of the room, flooded with sunlight and warmth. "All ready!" he announced with excitement, looking over the front door banner that read WELCOME TO THE GOLDEN TURTLE TEA PARTY!

[ooc: Party style threading. Comments are considered exclusive conversations, so reply to the actual comments instead of the entry if you want to be a part of that conversation. Iroh will be by your table shortly. ]

Well, Cid had to say he hadn't expected quite that sort of greeting. But he wasn't sure he could complain about it either. If he was going to be here he might as well pretend that it was just another sort of tea shop. Hell, that was what was, after all.

"What kinds have you got?"

Cid rather doubted that Iroh had all of them. A lot of them, sure. But hell, it wasn't like every world's tea varieties were gonna show up here. Or at least, he was pretty sure it wasn't going to. He'd never been all that sure about how people and things got to the city in the first place. For all he knew he could be wrong, but he wasn't about to admit to that.

Nor was he going to admit to not knowing what 'everything' entailed. And since he didn't want to end up embarrassed if Iroh didn't really have that left exactly one answer.

"Surprise me, then."

Cid hadn't meant it as a game, anyway. Sure, he was grumpy on most accounts, but there was a nice enough guy underneath it all. As for what he was doing, well, mostly he was working as a mechanic. Or trying to anyway. But it sort of worked, and it gave him something to do.

"Thanks."

There's a moment of contemplative silence as it arrives. If there was one thing Cid was fairly serious about it was tea. Thus far, there didn't seem to be anything to complain, though. As a matter, of fact, it looked pretty good.

"I was planning to," he answered, with a smile.

Now that Cid had satisfied himself that no one he knew was also hanging around in the same place (not that he'd imagined they would, really), he'd relaxed a little. Not that there was a whole lot of difference, mind, but he was certainly more relaxed as he set about enjoying the tea. He might have to remember the place for next time he wanted to find something half-way decent.
