Election Day [Active]
Character(s): THE POPULATION OF PAIXAO AND THEN SOME?! ....lol. actually yes
Content: It's finally Election Day! ...jeez everyone's out and about.
Setting: I8, temp offices.
Time: Week 21, all day.
Warnings: ....none? o.o
OOC Notes: You do not have to reply to this post if you're 'voting' (unless you arelol doing a 'write-in'). But the AC is coming up, so it may help out :D Your character can only vote once. The mods Spish with no life will be voting multiple times to account for the natives. The actual results, however, are not viewable by the characters. It's really just for the amusement factor. If characters want to continue their campaigns outside the office, they can do that in this thread as well (please do <3). And, lastly! This log will operate "party-style" - multi-chaining. Who knows if it'll even come to that.
It had been awhile since the city's natives were so active outside of their everyday bustle. The offices at I8 were frequented by the blondes, moving in and out of the doors to fill their votes, and then to return to their business.
Once inside, the voter had to either hand over their citizenship certificate for "verification" or fill out the application form for a certificate in order to vote. Then, they could move onto a line, where the voter was dealt with one at a time (not entirely the most effective process). An administrative assistant would hand out the ballot and allow the voter to step back into a private alcove, then take the ballot after they were done and drop it into their collection box, never leaving it unguarded.
The ballot has the names of those running with a box besides each, and the directions "Choose only one or ballot will become void." There is, also, a write-in section.
Throughout the entire day, Rosemary is hovering amongst the inside, keeping a watch over the proceedings.
Outside was at the reign of the runners making any last attempts to persuade the voters into choosing them. Of course, depending on how they may try to go about this... the natives may or may not perceive them any better than before.
However, Marcus Praetoris, the last-minute addition to the ballots, is not present.

Simple enough, and if he ignored any attempts to change his mind, perhaps that was only to expected. The hopefuls could hardly expect everyone to give them the time of day. He would vote for no less than the person he had decided on already; namely the one option he thought would actually make a decent mayor. He hadn't had any orders not to, after all.

The meerkat firmly planted both paws onto his hips while he observed the busy office. As expect, Marcus Praetoris was nowhere to be found. He suspected the citizen of trying to avoid him, something few could blame him for. Had Rosemary the opportunity she surly would too. “Looks like Marco couldn’t make it.” He commented before turning to look at the demon behind him. Marcus appeared to take well after Oturo Heirwidthal when it came to making public appearances. “Actually, it looks like nobody made it.” Timon continued, shaking his head in disapproval. He was certainly not about to argue though. “Proves just how much they care. Somehow I’m not surprised.”
He continued to observe the area for another moment in silent thought before shaking a triumphant fist in the air. “Common, Vyers.” He called out, waving for the demon to join him as he marched into the crowd. “We got work to do!” Most of the citizens would not so much as share a second glance with him but he would change that.
“Never fear good citizens! Unlike my fellow candidates I have not forgotten about you!”

One vote for Timon. The recent addition of one Marcus Praetoris turned her stomach, but it was too late for any kind of last-minute repair. He'd swayed many people to his side, despite the obvious implication of discrimination or even harm to the visitors.
Sitting on the roof of the offices (and how she got up there without the use of her powers was anyone's guess), Urd sighed. They were really starting to stream in now. She could hear Timon's voice even from up here -- how such a little guy had the kind of pipes he did was anyone's guess. She briefly considered going in and playing the part of PR manager as she had been, but...he needed to do some things on his own. It would be good for him and his image, surely.
She just hoped he wouldn't make things worse.

Admittedly, she didn't really think she would actually win, but she had managed to cause a bit of a stir. That was something at least. Still, it was a shame. None of the others were half as qualified as she was, really. Of course, no one wanted to believe that. And Shantotto hated to lose, even if she hadn't really expected to in the first place.
Oh well, it was rather out of her hands, wasn't it?
