On the Case! [Complete]

Character(s): Vyers, Urd, Timon, Xion...Simba? Namine? Whoever lives in this crazy commune that used to be Vyers' apartment?
Content: Vyers is hiding something and Urd can't take no for an answer.
Setting: The apartment Vyers shares with lots of people and animals.
Time: Week 20...daytime?
Warnings: None. CHAOS!

It was no surprise that Vyers was secretive. He apparently had a thing for being a man shrouded in mystery, though the cool factor seemed to constantly be decreased exponentially every time he failed, which...seemed to be a lot. He hid his relationship with his son, she was fairly certain he'd hidden the same fact from Laharl himself until recently and now, he was hiding something again. Honestly, the end result was less impressive and more exceedingly frustrating.

After a conversation with the demon over the network in which she'd said way more than she intended, Urd dashed out of the house she shared with Genie and Yorda and immediately flew up towards the domed ceiling. How dare he try to be all secretive with her, like she was another kid he could manipulate! Like he was her mothe -- well, it didn't matter. She was going to his place right now and forcing it out of him by any means possible!

...now, where did he live, exactly?

Urd stopped her ascent and scowled, looking over the tops of the buildings. Okay, so she hadn't thought this through. No problem. She reached up to her ear and snapped off one of the thin golden shafts on her hoop earring and held it out in her palm.

"Find me the one that I seek," she whispered, bowing her head and closing her eyes as she concentrated her power into the piece of metal. It rose above her hand, slowly spinning in place like the needle of a compass. It spun faster and faster until it was a golden whirl in the sunlight -- and then it abruptly stopped, pointing the way for a few seconds before darting off.

Smirking at her own ingenuity, Urd followed it, flying with more speed than she should but not really caring. For some reason, she couldn't help but feel time was of the essence.

The barely visible part of her earring lead her to an apartment complex. As she neared it, she didn't slow down, but held out her hand. The doors to the building flung open as if by a strong wind and the goddess sped on through, heedless of the shocked shrieks of the people she nearly collided with. Up the stairs, down the hall and...

"Vyers!" she shouted, slamming open the door while simultaneously catching the tiny gold rod out of the air in her fist. "Get your skinny butt out here!"

"Oh...right. I guess if you guys used to know me, then...other people probably did too," Roxas said with an embarrassed smile. He wondered for a second just how many other people had met him, and what he'd acted like when he talked to them. Hopefully he hadn't been a jerk, that might make meeting some of them again kind of hard. Ah well, Hakuna Matata.

His face brightened when Timon invited Naminé along. "Yeah Naminé, it'll be fun!" He beamed, excitement written all over his wide-eyed, worry-free smile. Then he looked down at the meerkat. "...Winner stick? What's that?"

It was possible that Urd knew Roxas somehow- he'd been here a lot longer than Xion, after all, and she'd talked to the woman once or twice. But now wasn't really the time to think about that. "I think he means on the ice cream sticks, Roxas. Some of them have the word 'winner' written on it, and if you get that, then you, um..." Alright, so she didn't exactly remember what you won. But you won something.

Naminé had no idea what they were talking about, and the fact that Timon had invited her along confused her. She glanced from one Nobody to the next to the meerkat and back to a Nobody before nodding once. It wouldn't hurt, right, if she went with them? Besides, getting ice cream might be better than risking the wrath of whatever or whoever had made those loud noises earlier.

"The noise woke me up," she admitted. Napping a lot recently had seemed to be the best course of action considering how terribly she'd been feeling for imposing on Timon - and that didn't count the rain-induced cold from last week, either. Rubbing sleep from her eyes and trying to wrap her brain around what was going on, Naminé glanced at Xion and then back to Roxas. "I'd... like to come." This was almost like what Sora had called having friends, wasn't it?

“Then you win a prize!” The little meerkat finished for Xion excitedly. “I’m not exactly sure what that prize is but it’s gotta be something good, right? And can you think of anyone who deserves that prize more than yours truly? I was a born winner.” Timon was hardly the one to share but did he in fact win he had decided he might share his prize with the three. The keyword there being ‘might’, of course. If it was something useless like free ice cream he had no use for it. After all, sea salt ice cream was far too salty to his liking. The only reason he continued to eat it was in hopes of winning the prize.

Timon looked between the three thoughtfully before turning to head for Vyers’ bedroom. “I’m just gonna tell Vyers we’re going out.” He told them. “If there’s anything you need before we go grab it.”
