Homecoming (Complete)
Character(s): Naminé, Xion, Roxas, Timon, Simba, and Vyers
Content: Naminé brings Nobodies home
Setting: The apartment Naminé shares with Timon, Simba, and Vyers
Time: Week 19, early morning directly following this
Warnings: Angst. Lots of it.
At this rate, Naminé was going to end up grounded for life. She could still see the little characters on the screen if she squinted hard enough. Timon had sounded upset with her, but she couldn't figure out why. Fortunately or unfortunately, that didn't really matter right now. What did matter was getting Roxas home and safe. She didn't like to think of what the Organization would do to him if they found him. And that was why she was leading him back. Of course, bringing him meant bringing Xion, but she'd expected that. She could trust the other girl to keep the secret of Naminé's location, and her existence in general, away from the rest of the Organization. Xion wasn't like the others. She wasn't a monster with no feelings.
Taking a deep breath as she walked quietly up to the front door, Naminé made sure it was unlocked and pushed it open. "We have to be quiet," she whispered to Roxas and Xion. "I know Timon's awake, but I don't want to make him upset."
Hopefully he'd be out right now and she could slip back in mostly unnoticed. Of course, whenever she did see him, she had a few things to talk to him about...

He didn't speak as he walked behind the girls, though. There was too much to ask them, and he wasn't sure he'd like the answers anyway. He didn't know himself right now...that was obvious enough, from how they both acted. And...from how they both sounded...it might be better if he stayed that way for a while. He shouldn't have lost his memories at all, from how they were talking....but that didn't change the fact they were gone.
The boy tried to keep his footsteps quiet as he walked into the apartment after Xion.

“Where have you been?” The meerkat suddenly spoke up before the Nobody could walk too far into the apartment. “Do you have any idea how long I’ve been waiting here worried sick over you?” Wait, did he just say he was worried? “By worried, I mean Simba was worried, of course.” Nice save. “You can’t just up and go without telling anyone where you’re going or when you’ll be back! Not if you’re living with us! What if you get lost? What if run into trouble? What if you get hurt?! I get why none of this matters to you but it does to… someone else. Now you’re gonna march straight to your room young lady and think about what you… you… you…”
Timon slowly trailed off while his nose began to twitch. There was a smell in the air that he hadn’t noticed before. It was so familiar… And the darkness, it was so much stronger. It was as though there were three of Naminé in the room. He turned his gaze away from the girl for the first time since she had entered, horrified to find two other Nobodies right behind her. The meerkat immediately jumped back.
“YOU BROUGHT MORE OF THEM?!” he shouted and pointed at their guests accusingly. “ARE YOU NUTS?! Why, in the savannah would you lead them here?! Are you trying to get caught?!” Timon clenched his fists and shook his head. If there had been any doubt he hadn’t been mad at Naminé before it was definitely gone now. “Oh, you are in so much trouble, missy! You’re in more than you can handle. Leading the Organization straight to us…! Are you trying to get us killed?! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!”
As though he had suddenly been shocked by a jolt of static electricity, Timon’s fur unexpectedly poofed out and stood straight on end. Of all times for the side effects of Urd’s potion to kick in… How ridiculous he must have looked. His anger must have somehow triggered it. He looked at the group of Nobodies furiously.
“Don't.Say.Anything!” he growled through grit teeth.

Fingers still partway in his hair, Vyers straightened and stared at the trio in the doorway. "Who...?" he began, only to stop and frown, hands immediately going to his hips as he searched the area for Timon. "Did you bring more people here?! Did I not tell you to ask me before you have people stay here? This is my home!"
Shortly before he laid eyes on the Timon puffball, however, he realized how he must have looked in front of their guests and let out an uncomfortable cough. "Er... Forgive moi. I was not expecting guests at so early an hour. How terribly undignified I must look!"

The lion completely ignored everything the meerkat was yelling about, and a wide grin spread across his face. He had yet to really talk to Timon's roommate, so he ignored him too. "Namine, you're back!" Simba didn't know what Timon was upset about. He liked making new friends. "You brought Roxas too!" Something seemed a little wrong with him, though Simba couldn't figure out what it was. He grinned at the third person to walk in, who smelled similar to both Namine and Roxas. "I didn't know you were bringing friends!"
Simba then walked over to Roxas. "We should get ice cream again sometime." As painful as that experience was, he did like the taste of it, and was now willing to try the experience again.

Eventually, the tirade subsided and Naminé noticed that the house's other occupants had arrived. Uh-oh... and they'd all heard every word Timon had said. They were probably mad at her too. But she didn't really understand why. She was going to explain... really...
"Timon..." Her voice was barely more than a whisper at first, her head bowed against the onslaught of words. Naminé wasn't even paying attention to Timon's fur. Not like it would have mattered. She wouldn't have understood what was so funny. "Timon!"
Eventually, Timon stopped talking and she tried to cut in. "Roxas doesn't remember anything and Xion's okay. I told you she won't turn me in. It's okay." Whether he would believe her or not was another matter entirely. Glancing to Vyers, she addressed him next. "I'm sorry... I didn't know." There were a lot of things she didn't know, but at least she was learning, right?
my tl;dr is not as tl;dr as your tl;dr ;-;
Xion really had no idea what was going on, but she both felt bad and was annoyed at the same time. The former because Namine didn't deserve this. She was just trying to help Roxas, and since Xion was worried too she'd let her come. The latter was aimed at Timon, the main source of the yelling at the person who did not deserve it.
It was very, very tempting to yell back. For now, though, she bit her lip to stop her from saying something that would make it worse and stayed next to Namine.

He turned toward the one who'd spoken, eyes downcast. It was a lion, with a bright red mane, and a strong build. "You...you know me? We...we ate ice cream together?" He got closer to the lion, gently pushing through everyone else who was in the way, but then he stopped.
"Sorry. I...I don't remember...any of that..." he said hesitantly. He clenched a fist, and didn't look at the lion's smiling face. It made the boy feel...guilty.

The meerkat looked back at the Nobody , even less impressed by her explanation. “Didn’t it ever occur once to you to ask if you could bring them here first?” Timon gave a frustrated sigh and rubbed his temples. He didn’t remember Roxas being the forgetful type but even if he and this Xion character didn’t turn them in he was sure the Organization could still somehow track her here. He turned away from Naminé as an attempt to dodge her upset look. If his strong will had any weakness, it was a sad kid.
Seeing Simba jump past him and toward the Nobodies Timon immediately raced after him. “Simba, wait!” There was no telling what they would to do him, they were always unpredictable. He stopped beside the lion and looked up at Roxas, his worry dissolving into confusion. He didn’t think Roxas was that forgetful. “Hey, Simba, you sure this is the same guy you met when you entered the city?” the meerkat asked and pointed up at the Nobody. That was when he finally caught a glimpse of the other one, Xion. He hadn’t noticed the Nobody before, not when they smelt so similar to Roxas, to Sora… He stared up at Xion in wonder, slowly moving to flatten his fur down.

He watched Simba approach the three curiously, wondering how he knew them. How odd... And why was Timon so suspicious of the other two, anyway?
Wait. One of them was hooded...
Vyers kept a close eye on Xion, not entirely unwelcoming, but far from trusting. Though he wondered what the blonde girl meant by "turning her in." He glanced between the group gathered at the door. What exactly was their relationship with one another?

humanNobody hit his head or something and got amnesia? Simba was going to tel him that he'd help him get his memory back, but Timon's yelling was finally getting to him."C'mon Timon. It's obvious that they need help. Where else are they gonna go?" He perked up a bit at Timon's question. "Yeah, this is definitely the guy. He looks and smells like the right guy."
Simba turned to look at Vyers. "Is it ok if they stay for a bit?" He didn't understand what his problem with guests were, but Simba figured it was best to ask. If he said no, he could always try to convince him in other ways. Being a lion had its strong points.
no subject
The blonde girl didn't vocally respond to anyone, as she stood there and planned her escape. At least if she was gone, they wouldn't have to worry about her... and she'd leave a note for Timon this time. So he couldn't yell at her again for that.
no subject
It took her a moment to notice two out of three of them staring at her, which made her distinctly uncomfortable. She hadn't even gotten mad at them when they started. "What?"
ROXAS MUSE IS MAKING ME WIBBLE AND FLAIL >.<
"Argh...why can't I remember you?" Roxas' face was a mix of frustration and anxiety.
Then he realized what was going on around him, a few seconds after Xion spoke--and a couple moments too late. "No, Xion, you can't leave! Not...without me. We're friends...right?"
no subject
Sora had never yelled at him like that before. But he had never sounded so… Feminine either. He stared at the Nobody in response, her words flying completely over his head. Why did he smell so strongly of Darkness? And Xion, who was this ‘Xion’ Roxas had addressed? He looked between Sora and Roxas in confusion. “What’s goin’ on here? Xion, who’s Xion?”
no subject
How... odd. Weren't Nobodies not supposed to feel emotion? And yet it seemed as though these three did, at least to some point. Very strange indeed. Did that mean these three were exceptions or was this the case with every Nobody? Vyers knew well the consequences of a terrible reputation for a race. Could it be that this was a similar case? He still had his suspicions to be sure, but if these three could care about their friends...
A small smile appeared on the demon's face. "They are welcome to stay for as long as they like," he decided. "All three of them."
no subject
He then turned to Roxas. "That's right." He didn't have much time to say anything else, as the Nobody then seemed to go after the Xion person. He managed to tap Roxas with his paw. "I don't know why you can't remember, but I can help you find out." First of all, Roxas needed his memories back. Second, Simba was curious as to why and how he lost them in the first place. He looked down at Timon once he heard his response. "Of course something's changed up there. He lost his memories!"
"I think we should let them stay with us." If they needed to sleep on a bed, Simba would be fine on the floor. Though less comfortable, it wouldn't be a terrible change. Besides, he's be able to help Roxas find his memories.
no subject
At least some of them appeared not to care so much about things. And Xion's defense of Naminé was nice. "Xion... it's okay. It's my fault." Entirely her fault, from the moment she'd begun to take apart Sora's memory.
Timon's questions were what startled Naminé the most, though, and she stared at him for a full minute. Of course... he must have known Sora. Naminé glanced at Xion again, looking more than a little worried, and wondered what was the best way to answer. "Xion," she replied, indicating the black-haired girl.
no subject
This was getting very complicated. And overwhelming. It was just lucky that Timon hadn't (yet) expressed the bit about Sora out loud, or she'd be running. Running out of things to say, she just nodded when Namine told Timon her name.
no subject
The meerkat, though, was confusing Roxas really badly. "Wait...have I met you before too?"
no subject
The meerkat looked between Roxas and Xion worriedly. As far as his concern was about Roxas, Simba was right; somehow the boy had managed to lose his memories. He wasn’t exactly sure what had triggered it off but as long as he was in this state he put himself in danger. It was a better idea to keep him here, regardless if Timon liked it or not. He sighed and shook his head. As for Xion, he wasn’t quite sure what to make of… Her? If this wasn’t Sora, who was it? Why did they look so much like him? He had a lot of questions to ask her. Looking the way she did, she too was probably a target of the Organization. Maybe. He wasn’t sure. Naminé and Roxas had yet to earn Timon’s trust, Naminé especially, but at the moment he trusted them far more than Xion. He would have to keep a careful eye on her.
“Alright, they can stay but only until Roxas’ amnesia is cured.” He finally said. “He’ll be safer here, maybe even start to remember things faster then he would elsewhere. The rule stands though: don’t tell anyone you’re here.” Timon looked pointedly at Naminé. “Not unless you want the Organization to find us.”
Simba may have been willing to give up the bed for them Timon wasn’t. If they wanted the bed they’d have to separate him from it first… which in Timon’s mind came off as a harder task than it was in reality.

Vyers frowned at Timon's sudden decision. Only until then? Well, perhaps his decision would change in the time between. While it would be rather... uncomfortable to have so mane people living under one roof, to say the least, it was better than leaving the three children to face the Organization on their own, even if they were targets. How quickly did Timon seem to forget that he was a minor target, and Larxene had proven that--at least to her--Vyers himself was a possible target as well. When it came down to it, was anyone truly safe from the Organization?
Bedspace, admittedly, might be a bit of a challenge. Much like Timon, Vyers wasn't ready to give up his bed, not without significant prodding and/or guilting.
He turned toward Namine next, shaking his head. "Worry not, mademoiselle. He tends to scream like this more often than you would think."
no subject
Even with Timon's demand for the length of the Nobody's stay, Vyer's remark relieved him a bit. It would be a bit crowded, but Simba wouldn't mind. He had lived in a pride of lions before, and he expected it would be a lot like that. Just, with out other lions.
Simba nodded silently at what Vyers said about Timon. He did get stressed pretty easily, though Simba was very much used to it by now, so he really wasn't effected by it anymore.
The lion's stomach began to rumble. "Now that that's settled, how about we get lunch?" Food was always a good thing in Simba's mind.
no subject
Whatever the case was, Naminé just nodded to Timon and then Vyers. "Thank you," she murmured to the latter, remembering that Sora always did that and it was good to appear as grateful as she was.
Now that the headache of where they were to be staying had worn off (for the moment... Naminé wasn't entirely sure she would be imposing on them much longer after this), the blonde girl turned back to Xion. She knew the Organization would be looking for her if she was out too long in one day... or they might just discard her all over again and Naminé wasn't entirely sure which would be better at this point. Sighing to herself, she shook herself inwardly and tried to focus.
"Do you have to go back soon?"
Naminé didn't understand why Simba was asking about getting food now, so she decided to let everyone else deal with that. Right now, her concern was with Xion and Roxas. The unspoken implication in her statement to Xion was that she would watch over Roxas if the answer was "yes."
no subject
At Namine's question, Xion nodded. "Probably..." If she'd learned anything, it was that if she disappeared for too long, someone would be sent after her. It was usually Axel, so if he found out why she'd gone off it might not be a problem, but if Saix decided to change it then she could really be in problem, not to mention cause more problems for Namine.
no subject
He sighed. He couldn't even tell what was wrong...so how could he even be sure it really was wrong? Nothing else was making any sense right now, since apparently the only people here who didn't know him were Naminé and this old guy. He only hoped that he would remember the other three soon...
He was so lost in his own thoughts that Simba's mention of getting lunch took a few seconds to sink in, and it took another second or two before Roxas actually answered. "Yeah...lunch sounds good..." he said slowly, without any sort of enthusiasm.
no subject
“I heard that!” Timon growled at Vyers and folded his arms across his chest. “And I do not.” He turned his back to the group and pouted silently. Vyers made it sound like he was some sort of big baby, which he certainly was not! How dare he! If anyone was a baby it was Vyers. Why, he would never amount to anything as the meerkat as far as he saw it. He was smart, handsome and did Simba just say lunch?
“Lunch?” The redhead spun, forgetting completely about what he had been pouting over when the new thought entered his mind. “Great idea, Simba. Waiting for Naminé all night’s left me starving.” The meerkat patted his stomach which made a growl frighteningly as loud as the lions at the thought of food. However, the smile on his face quickly vanished when his eyes wandered back to the group of Nobodies.
“Wait, what about them? Aren’t we forgetting we’re in the company of ‘Paixao’s Most Wanted' here?” Timon jabbed a thumb in the kid’s direction. “They’ll stick out more than a warthog at a watering hole. They can’t go out with the Organization looking for them, not like that.” The meerkat rubbed his chin, looking over each Nobody thoughtfully while a grin began to spread across his face. Already he appeared to have a plan in mind. “We’ll have to disguise them. Vyers has a ton of clothes he never wears – most of which I can understand why. We’ll use those.”
When he was done with them the Organization would never be able to recognize the the three Nobodies.
no subject
In any case, he ignored the look Timon sent his way, instead focusing on Namine. "You are quite welcome, dear mademoiselle," he replied, grinning widely.
"So soon?" he asked Xion, head cocking slightly to the side. "I insist that you at least join us for lunch. It is the least I can do. You three may even decide on the place." Ah... what a wonderful host he was. And, he had to admit, he was rather hungry himself.
"No! Absolutely not!" he suddenly exclaimed in response to Timon. "If any one is to decide how my clothes are to be distributed, it should be moi. I have considerably more fashion sense to speak of." Or, rather, a fashion sense at all. While it was rather annoying, he did understand that he was the only one with extra clothes around and that the three needed to be disguised. But if they were going to be wearing his clothes, he wanted to be sure they were worn properly.
Sorry for lame tag of lameness! D:
"Hurry up and change their fur already. I'm starving." The lion's stomach rumbled loudly, rivaling that of Timon's. He had known the meerkat for a long time, so his stomach didn't scare him.
idk if we want to end this here or what...
Bowing her head a little, she returned her attention to Timon and Vyers. "We'll need hoods, too." And she was pretty sure she knew where to find some, or at least something that would work for hoods.
