New Buisness Model, or Cunning Plot? You Decide! (Active, Very Open)

Character(s): Hanekoma, OPEN
Content: Hey, Hanekoma is handing out free portraits that may or may not be the key to adventure and freedom. You should stop by!
Setting: Wild Kat Coffee, Paixao Branch
Time: Few days after the discovery of what's behind the door in the chapel, all throughout the day.
Warnings: None!
Notes: See the Week Change for more details about this thread.

Hanekoma had to admit, the Doctor's plan certainly was a creative one, and as much as he was not normally the type to get too involved in local conflicts, this one had managed to catch his attention. The fact that it let him stretch his artistic muscles was also a real bonus.

Therefore, he had placed a sign in the window, promising free portraits for ever cup of coffee purchased. Hey, it helped clue people into a chance to exploring new parts of the world, let him get back into shape artistically, and sell some more coffee in the deal. It really was a win for everyone!

The abnormal kind, Susan thought, before hastily and firmly squashing that thought down. It wasn't the sort of answer that was going to help in the long run.

"The eye-catching kind."

Like that sign outside, or the fact that Hanekoma was anything but ordinary.

Would she be interested? Not really. She knew what she looked like, and wasn't horribly interested in something she'd just have to find a place for later.

But she hadn't missed the way Hanekoma had phrased his question either. One of those choices that really wasn't one. Fun.

"Yes," she answered, although the tone in her voice wasn't the most pleased. But if it would get her one step closer to what she was looking to find out, she'd accept the inconvenience.

'Glad to hear it'. Of course he was, with a question like that. It was easy to be glad of something when you know you were going to get the 'right' answer anyway. But she'd take him at his word even so. If he wanted to try and paint motion he was perfectly welcome to.

"Susan," she corrected, almost on reflex. She'd never had a nickname before, and she certainly wasn't going to accept what he was offering in place of a perfectly good and functional name.

...He wasn't listening. Well, no matter. She could and would correct him until one of them gave up for good. It wasn't like she couldn't be patient, after all. True, it would be patience with a slight side of annoyance, but that was still a sort of patience.

As for the painting, well... it was certainly interesting. Both for the way it looked as well as the way it seemed to be suggesting something. But maybe she'd find something of use that way. After all, she had manged to find anything useful so far.

"It's not bad."

"The Disc," she answered simply. She could have answered with something a little more specific, admittedly, but she'd been slowly been coming to realize that the place was weird enough that a vague answer was preferable.

All the same, she didn't expect him to be familiar with her home. But the question did deserve an answer.
