New allies, old enemies [active]
Character(s): Saitou and Kenshin
Content: Saitou leaves Aiches and goes to meet Kenshin.
Setting: Paixao Central Station, J6
Time: Late afternoon
Warnings: none yet~
Running away from the hospital was much easier than he had expected. Of course, the staff probably did not expect him to be walking around for at least two more weeks. It was also very convenient for him to have been placed in a room on the second floor. Jumping down from a greater height would have hurt his hips even more. He had sat down below his window for half an hour before walking again to recover from the pain. He is feeling much better after making his way across the city however. Having had to lie on a bed for days was just torture.
Leaning on one ornately decorated pillar of the Paixao Central Station, he exhales the smoke from his mouth languidly. The station is a pretty big place and they did not decide on any particular place or time of meeting. He had simply told the battousai to stay put, and knowing Kenshin, the redhead is probably staying put somewhere. Saitou would not admit it but the reason why he is not walking around looking for Kenshin is because he is tired.
He hasn't tried, but Saitou wonders when he can start really fighting properly again. With his legs being such a pain, he wouldn't be a very dangerous opponent at all. This is very worrying indeed.

However, as time grew on Kenshin began to wonder if he should have a further look around. The station was large and while Kenshin's orange hair stood out amungst the sea of blonde hair, it would still be a challenge to find anyone in a place like this. Saitou hadn't specified a particular place to stay put at, so perhaps he could afford to look around a bit.
So the rurouni headed into the station, keeping his sharp eyes peeled for the familiar figure of the wolf of mibu, and undoubtedly, the chain of smoke that would likely be lingering over it.

Walking around the station with hands in his pocket, Saitou keeps his eyes out for a redhead among the sea of blonde blue-eyed people. Despite his small stature, Kenshin has never been that hard to spot. And bingo, just a few feet away from him is a man with tied-back red hair looking away from Saitou.
Saitou makes his way closer to the man before muttering lowly, "Battousai."

"Saitou," Kenshin intoned in return, with a slight nod of his head in simple greeting. He fell silent, letting Saitou speak first, internally curious about what Saitou wanted to speak to him about, although he could certainly make some guesses.

Kenshin doesn't seem to be on a casual mood however. Saitou exhales rather irritatedly, "The Tenken, Seta Soujirou, is alive." He meant it as a question rather than a statement. The Battousai has some explaining to do.
no subject
"Yes... as sessha told to you on the journal, sessha last saw him at Shingetsu Village," he replied. Considering Soujirou had spoken to them through the journal-thing it was somewhat obvious he was, indeed, alive. Where did Saitou get the idea he was dead? "Well, until today," Kenshin added.
"Sessha saw him earlier before sessha came to meet with you," he explained with a frown, "He was looking for someone, but would not say who. It seems he's been here for sometime... He seemed to hint he might find you before sessha, but he doesn't know sessha was meeting with you now."
The rurouni looked thoughtful as he went over his conversation with Soujirou in his head, trying to pick out anything else important, but it was difficult at best. Seta Soujirou was like trying to read a closed book.
no subject
"I didn't plan on meeting him," he says in reply to that bit of information. Not that he remembered at the very least. The doctors had him pretty drugged up for the first few days that he could hardly remember anything. He might have done something unreasonable then.
"The last time I met you was at Shishio's base, after you defeated the boy," and Shishio, but perhaps it would be best to keep that for later. "I had thought that you would've killed him; he seemed the type to fight 'til death."
Picturing the Tenken letting anyone walk away from a fight with him and them alive is almost impossible, but there is also the issue of time. Something is nagging at the back of Saitou's mind but he is trying to push it as far back as he can. There is no such thing as time travel, right?
no subject
Kenshin's brows furrowed as he spoke, "Sessha has not been yet to Shishio's base. Sessha does not even know yet where it is located." It was information they had not yet aquired. "Sessha... was in the mountains before he came here."
A frown then formed on his lips at the idea he had, or will in the future rather, kill the Tenken. However, Saitou sounded uncertain of what had occured during this fight with Soujirou, or the actual outcome. Whatever had happened, Kenshin knew he could not have possibly killed the Tenken with the ougi now his.
"Sessha will not kill," he said, flattly.

It is something that Saitou would love to laugh at him for, if not for the fact that his resolve is admirable. Saitou smirks at Kenshin's final statement, "I wasn't telling you too."
Tapping the ash from his cigarette before putting it back on his lips, Saitou pushes himself off the pillar to turn away from Kenshin. They were enemies in the past, and turning your back to your opponent is simply idiotic. But Saitou respects Kenshin enough to know that the Battousai's words can be trusted. He will not kill. "What do you plan to do now?"
no subject
"Sessha supposes he will continue to wander and hope to find out more about what is going on," he said thoughtfully. It was about the best he could come up with. What more could he do? Other than... "And keep an eye open for anymore we know," he added, thoughts turning to his friends. If any of them were out there to be found, he would find them.
"What about you?" he then asked, glancing to Saitou curiously, although the chances of Saitou revealing anything were generally slim at best.
(OOC: Zomg, sorry this took awhile. I forgot it was my turn for few days there, then muses were being lazy. >.<;;; Gomen ne!)

He starts to walk away from the Battousai when he is suddenly reminded of something. Saitou had tried to ask people where the nearest police station is but the civilians seemed oblivious as to what the word 'police' means. Stopping, Saitou doesn't turn when he addresses Kenshin. "Hey, you come too," and it wasn't a question.
There is much to talk about still but Saitou is hungry, very hungry. There better be some nice Soba around the place.

The emptiness in his stomach quickly reminded Kenshin he'd had little to eat since he'd gotten here. Having late lunch with the wolf of mibu wasn't exactly what Kenshin had thought he'd end up spending the day, but then, what had he thought he'd do anyways? He could see little reason not to follow Saitou.
"A..Aa," he replied, in agreement, quickly striding to catch up.

Saitou slows down a little when he is quite near the little house with the simple sign. He looks over his shoulders to check if Kenshin is following or not, smirking a little in amusement. "You really do have short legs," he remarks frankly before stepping through the open doors.
no subject
He finally properly caught up to Saitou when he had stopped at what appeared to possibly be some sort of food place. A slight annoyed expression passed for a moment on Kenshin's face at Saitou's comment as he disappeared into the doors. Short legs?
He decided not to comment, and just followed Saitou inside.
((ooc: I guess we should decide where we are so we know what weather we get to experience. XD ))

Noticing a cracked window on one of the houses, Saitou makes his way towards it rather cautiously. Once there, he looks around to see what, or who, hit the glass, finding a ball of ice as big as his fist glistening near his foot. Letting out a comical "Heh," Saitou turns to Kenshin. "Did that fall from the sky?"
Giant rock-hard ice balls falling from the sky. What the hell is happening in this city?
[ooc: let's say between central station and folios, so J5, we have hail >3]
no subject
"T-the sky? That's a very large thing to just fall--" he started to reply when he heard another sound of something landing behind him.
Turning and glancing down the Kenshin's eyes widened at another large chunk of ice. Stepping back a step towards the cafe, he turned his violet gaze back to Saitou.
"Ah... maybe we should get into shelter? Sessha thinks perhaps it is unwise to stay outside..." he suggested as, another 'thunk' of something landing hard against a nearby roof echoed out, then another.
(OOC: Haha .. nice XD; Hail for the win! Although in next pose or so gotta change it since the weather apparently is changing pretty rapidly XD;) )

Nodding in agreement to Kenshin's suggestion, Saitou briskly walks back to the noodle house. The sky being artificial, he is sure that someone is causing the balls of ice to fall intentionally. He makes a note to himself that he will find whoever it is and find out why.
Just as he is walking to the noodle house however, the falling hail seems to decrease in number before finally stopping as suddenly as it appeared. Eyes still cautious, Saitou quickly looks up to the sky to survey it. The clouds that had formed above them are dissipating so quickly that it is unnerving.
Whoever is controlling the weather must have been in a playful mood, or worse, whoever it is might have been testing out the artificial sky to see what can be done with it. "The sky is artificial," he says more to himself than to Kenshin. He is starting to hate this place very much.
no subject
"So... it would seem," Kenshin agreed hesitantly, still sounding a little baffled by it, "Although Sessha can't even begin to understand how it can be, but then there are many things sessha cannot understand about this place."
"Well, either way it seems it has stopped, for now," he noted, as he watched the last of the clouds vanish.
"Shall we?" he asked, glancing back to the doorway, his own stomach starting to have a nagging for something to eat. Noodles seemed very appetizing about now.

He muses on whether he should tell Kenshin about the fight that sent him to the hospital, but decided against it when he remembers his pride. Saitou turns to Kenshin when he offered to get back to the noodle house. Soba will make everything better, for sure.
He walks back to the noodle house, trying to get his mind off of the city. He had finally taken care of Shishio and then got beaten up terribly and had to eat hospital food for a few days. He definitely deserves a bowl of Soba. No, make that several.

The resturant was empty. Everyone was undoubtly hiding in their homes to avoid the crazy weather. Glancing around the inside of the quiet restaurant, he wondered where the staff were. There was no sign to indicate they were open, but then they also weren't closed.
(( D: Sorry so late. I was at a loss on how to post... so this rather sucks. I tried to aim you but had no reply XD; Would they have a japanese noodle house in paixao? lol I'm not sure what one would be like even ... ^_^; ))
