Little Red Riding Hood is lost~ [Complete]

Character(s): Gunzi, Larxene and eventually Linali.
Content: Gunzi enters the city; after an odd encounter with the gatekeeper, he is dropped off a few miles away from it and then left all on his lonesome.
Setting: A little ways into Joutenheim.
Time: Night.
Warnings: Drug references, Gunzi going after someone... and knowing Larxene, uh, there's gonna be a lot.

What an odd place.

It almost hurt Gunzi's eyes. It was night, but it was a much brighter night than he was used to; AREA: RAY had been so dark and dismal... he had to admit that it was a nice change. And there seemed to be grass and trees and all sorts of interesting things around here... they hadn't had those in AREA: RAY, either. If he had really cared, he would have gone over and inspected the foreign nature--as everything where he came from had been killed off long ago--but he had more interesting things to attend to.

Standing in front of the gates with his mouth half open, tongue out, he seemed to stare up at the big, odd looking gate with a sense of awe spread across his face--well, it would have seemed like that had his eyes not been hidden by his hair and hood. He licked his lips and giggled softly, tilting his head down to look ahead of him. There was a long line of many people... something in him silently questioned what all of this was, but something as nonsensical as all of these seemed could easily be talked up to a little bit of drugs.

That was it. He was probably just imagining this all. The red-hooded man was finding himself stifling another chuckle as he clenched his hands opened and closed, flexing the tight, overworked veins in his arms, confident with his assumption, fearless of his new surroundings, as unfamiliar as they were. He took a step forward, advancing in the line, and then finally, it was his turn.

"Name?" the individual at the gate questioned the blond, while simultaneously shoving a metallic, red object toward him--he quickly reached up a hand to catch it without giving it a glance, and closed his mouth in a thoughtful expression (biting down on his tongue).

Not even bothering to give it a single once-over, Gunzi seemed more interested in the man who had given it to him rather than the object itself. "Heeheehee," was the most coherent thing he could apparently muster, and he took a step toward the man. His head canted, neck craning--he seemed to be quite interested in invading his personal space.

The gatekeeper was a bit taken aback by this, but only laughed nervously, and repeated his question. "Name, sir?"

"Nyeeeh," His tongue lolled and its tip twitched--it seemed he was threatening to lick the man's face, inching dangerously closer moment by moment. One would have thought working at a gate in Paixao would cause the citizens to become a bit jaded toward odd individuals such as Gunzi, but... the man seemed to be getting downright terrified.

"Please," the man insisted, clearing his throat and stepping back. "Please, your name...?"

Emitting an odd, growl-like noise, Gunzi suddenly bolted forward, like a cat springing from its crouching position. His arms lifted, wrists arched and fingers curled as if he were an animal of some sort, aiming to use them to rip and rend his prey. It seemed he intended to pounce the man, but just as he was abut to make contact--he felt arms around his shoulders on either side, tugging him back and restraining him. A pair of guards that stood by the gate came to the keeper's aid.

His head thrashed wildly, obviously not used to being restrained when he wanted to "play." Growling in frustration, his jerky, violent movements caused his hood to fall back and his hair to reveal his intense blue eyes, wide with rage. The two men kept a firm hold on him though, forcing him back and away from the humble man who he had gone after, who stood there shaking and curled into himself, absolutely shaken from that encounter.

Gunzi was dragged off, into the city. When he was far enough from the gate to be properly disoriented and unable to find his way back, he was roughly shoved out of their grasps and onto the ground, his backside contacting with the hard pebbled road--causing him to emit a soft, "Oomph."

Entirely confused, he surprisingly didn't find the urge to get up and follow them. Slowly, they backed away facing him (to make sure that he did not follow), but the only thing the blond did was sit up, wobbly, and place his palms down between his outstretched legs, claws clicking down on the rocks below him, tilting his head slowly--observing them like a curious animal as they slowly left him to his own devices. His blond hair half-covered his face again, his bright blue shining through them, intense as ever as he stared on, glimmering beautifully in the way heroin eyes tended to do.

He laughed. "Heeeeeeeeeeeheeeehehehehehe. Hee. Hehe."

Somehow, instead of moving on to a different location, Larxene had remained in the Joutenheim area of Paixao. Why? No real reason, except to enjoy every last bit of the storm that was passing through after having that little encounter with Zexion. The weather had improved by now though, and with the rain and thunder gone, so was Larxene's motivation in remaining there.

She could've just teleported away to another part of the city, but would be too boring, wouldn't it? The night was still young, and there were still many fun opportunities to be had.

Her coat was still wet and dripping from the rain, but the hood was no longer up. Walking through the streets, Larxene's blue eyes continuously scanned the area for her next fun activity. Unfortunately, not many buildings were open right now. That and nobody really wanted one of her "kind" inside their establishments in the first place.

Such unfair discrimination! Not like she really cared. If they didn't let her in, then she would force her way through, simple as that.

Larxene continued going down the streets when her ears picked up the sound of... laughter? Well, if you could call it that. It was the kind of laugh no child would ever want to hear, the stuff that you'd only get in nightmares. A normal person would've stayed far away from the source of that maniacal laugh. But Larxene was about as normal as Demyx was intelligent.

“Ooh, someone must be having a really good time. I think I’ll join them.”

Whoever was laughing like that had to be more fun to play with than Zexion or the townspeople here, guaranteed.

"Aww, well aren't you adorable."

Sitting on the edge of a rooftop, the female Nobody continued to watch from her spot. Who he was and when he came here were unimportant to her. All that mattered was how long he would able to give her the entertainment she desired.

"Aren't you a little too big to be acting like a lost little boy though?" She said from up top before letting herself safely fall to the ground a couple of feet away from him.

"Let's see, what do we have here, hmmm." Larxene began to go over his outfit and features. "Blonde hair, ripped chest, red hood, and claws on both hands… Nice touch by the way, they almost make you look scary."

He must've been some kind of special to wear something as ridiculous as a red hood with claws. Ah well... special was better than predictable and dull.

"So, what are you supposed to be eh?" A grinning Larxene asked, with a rather amused look on her face.

"Little Red Riding Hood? You? Hah!" She couldn't but laugh at the name he had given himself. Either he had one heck of a sense of humor, or was he just completely and utterly insane. Whatever the reason was, she "liked" him already and hoped that it would continue.

"Oh I'm not a stranger; I'm the lumberjack that's going to keep you safe from that mean old wolf!" If the main charater of that story could have her gender switched, then why couldn't he? "Poor Little Red Riding Hood, all alone with nobody to guide you back to grandma's house." She began to get closer to him... her grin never fading the slightest bit.

"But don't worry, I'll keep you safe and take you back. If you're a good little boy that is."

Those eyes, the way he moved his body, his way of talking... Yep, he was crazy alright. But what to do with him? Killing him then and there would put and end to this little "story". Besides, in Larxene's eyes, his originality and apparent insanity had earned him a couple of more moments among the living.

"Wonderful! Now then, Little Red Riding Hood, what do you want to do now? Would you like to come with me and find grandma's house? Or… how about going on a little hunt?" Of course there were no actual wolves in Paixao, as far as she knew. But if she was the lumberjack, and he was red riding hood, then it shouldn't be hard at all to find someone to play the part of the deceitful wolf.

She could always switch roles too...

"Why leave that stupid wolf alive so that he can come get you some other time?"

"And the Lumberjack is just as eager to find that mean wolf so that he won't ever bother Little Red Riding Hood again." Oh yes, very eager indeed. But where to begin? That was the problem, but one with a fairly simple solution. "And since I'm such a good Lumberjack, I'm going to let Little Red Riding Hood decide where we should go hunt first."

She was interested in seeing this guy do something other than just sitting there looking like a madman. He did that well, there was no doubt it, but for someone like Larxene, that was no longer enough to satisfy the curiosity she had regarding him. "What do you think about that?"

Most likely unknown to the two chatting about fairy tales, something was getting closer to them. That something was about 180 pounds of wolf lumen. It strode silently among the artificial grass a good 20 yards or so from the two. Amongst all the fake grass the glowing of its body was pretty well hidden. It crouched unseen, its eyes focusing on the one on the right.

It stayed there hidden for a few minutes, trying to figure out what was going on with the one in all black. The lumen search for the light in the person's heart, but found none. And there didn't seem to be any darkness either. Was there even a heart? It was getting angered as it thought and thought trying to figure out what was going on. Eventually it stopped caring to think all together.

With a loud growl, the lumen tore out of its hiding spot. It made a mad dash at the one with no dark or light at all. As it ran its fangs showed clearly, seeming to glow with light. At the last second the lumen lept from the ground aiming at the girl's arm. If it latched on, it would pump the light from within into the girl, trying to awaken the light inside her.

[identity profile] thunderknives.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
What began as an approaching glow in the corner of her eyes quickly became much brighter and larger in size. She too busy having a conversation with Little Red Riding Hood, or at trying to establish one, to notice the approaching beast until it was dangerously close to her. Fortunately for Larxene, her quick reflexes and agility allowed her to just barely sidestep the creature's charge.

Landing several feet away from Gunzi, she looked on at the attacker. It was one of those lumens, how typical. She had been warned all about them from the other members of the Organization. Their hatred for Nobodies, and their need to force into all hearts... Larxene would've been worried about that if she was a heartless, or just another person. But she was neither one of those. She was just... nothing.

"What do we have here?" Warnings or not, this was the first time she'd actually seen a lumen. Sure enough, it matched the description, but there was something else about it that caught her interest...

"Oh this is too rich." Placing a hand on her forehead, Larxene couldn't help but laugh. "Look! It's the big bad wolf that's come to get us!" Reading her knives and getting into a battle pose, Larxene waited for the beast to make its next move.

It seemed like the hunters had actually become the hunted. But that was alright for her. After all, it wasn't often that she played the part of the "prey".

Maybe it would be fun.

[identity profile] paixaonpcs.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
The lumen missed, and landed a few feet away, scraping its claws against the gound as it slid to a stop. Snarling from its open mouth, the lumen took a few steps around the girl, so that the girl was between itself and the man. It could see the weapons she had brandished, but wasn't afraid.

All of a sudden the lumen let out a bright bolt of light aimed directly at the girl, and rushed in after it. This time it was aiming for her legs. The bolt wasn't very powerful, but it might serve its purpose as a distraction. The rage inside the lumen was building, so much that it forgot about the male, and didn't think to protect itself from an attack by him.

[identity profile] thunderknives.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
And so the battle commenced. Though Larxene currently didn't have any built up aggression or anger inside her, she would make sure to enjoy the battle all the same. It was her first time fighting a lumen too and she was curious to see just how much it'd be able to hurt her. If at all.

Countering the lumen's light bolt with one of her own element was simple enough. And after that, she threw a couple of her knives at the rapidly approaching beast, hoping that some would hit their mark, or at last land right in front of it so that the rush would be interrupted.

[identity profile] paixaonpcs.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Two knives brushed past the lumen, cutting lightly on each side of its body. Another slid into its shoulder, stuck there. To avoid a knife from hitting his nose, the wolf lumen turned away from the girl, circling around her again. His body was hurting but when he was reminded that she didn't possess a heart, the lumen fell into a blind fury.

A blinding white light erupted from the wolf lumen, using all the power it had. It had made up its mind: it would fill the girl with light, or die trying.

Another snarl came from the lumen as it circled the girl then made another mad dash at her. Now the lumen was glowing white, and it looked like a flash of light as it crossed the distance between them.

[identity profile] thunderknives.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
The lumen was getting desperate already? It was much earlier than expected.

So far, it had been only her who had done the fighting. All Little Red Riding Hood had done so far was just look on. She took a quick glance at him and came up with an idea: to lead the lumen over to where he was and see how he would react.

Not dodging the lumen's charge, Larxene instead backed up all the way to where Little Red Riding Hood was. "Look! Here it comes!"

[identity profile] paixaonpcs.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
When the two were standing next to each other, the lumen stopped abruptly. It could see the bloodlust on the one in red's face. Not to mention it finally noticed the darkness in its heart. Still glowing with blinding light, the lumen reached inside its own heart and sent two zigagging bolts aim for the two humans.

[identity profile] thunderknives.livejournal.com 2006-09-06 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, the lumen had actually fallen for her little "tactic". Who knew. Now she would finally be able to see the other guy in action. But before leaving the rest to him, Larxene took it upon herself to clear out the bolts by once again countering with her own.

Once that was out of the way, she looked back at the hooded man and smiled. "He's your prey now. Teach that mean wolf what happens when he messes with Little Red Riding Hood." And with that, she jumped high into the air and landed on a nearby rooftop.

It would be from here that she would look at how the fight would continue and finish.

[identity profile] paixaonpcs.livejournal.com 2006-09-06 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
The lumen watched with anger as it was left alone with the man in red. It wanted to follow after the girl, but knew if it left its gaurd down the man would attack. The wolf wasn't having a lot of fun, that was for sure.

But that man was in his way. And his instincts told him to take the man down. The man had claws, but the lumen had fangs and light. And it planned to use the light.

Snarling as it moved closer, the lumen eyed the claws carefully. Crouched low and ready to attack, the lumen sprung to the left. Just as it landed, it pushed off the ground again, strafing to the right. And when it saw the perfect moment, the lumen pushed forward, its fangs bared and aimed for the man's torso.

[identity profile] paixaonpcs.livejournal.com 2006-09-07 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Instead of being impaled, the lumen was sratched along its side, spilling out more of its blood onto the claws and the ground. The lumen landed, but was but on its feet quickly, sporting a new limp. But it wasn't giving up yet. Blood still seaped out, but it was slowly stopping. All around the lumen, light was gathering, the intense light flickering off the artificial vegetation.

It stood its ground for the moment, waiting for the human to makes its move.

[identity profile] paixaonpcs.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
The lumen stood its ground, the light now pushing out from its heart. All around it a blinding white light encased the lumen. It simply watched as the man rushed forward, crouching its front paws.

Waiting for the perfect moment the lumen jumped at the man, fangs and claws aimed anywhere it could hit. They would most likely be passed each other before it would be clear who the winner was.

[ All I can see is like in a samurai movie where they dash at each other, then stand facing opposite directions, then one falls over. xD ]

[identity profile] paixaonpcs.livejournal.com 2006-09-09 01:57 pm (UTC)(link)
The lumen stood seemingly unscathed for a short moment. THen it collapsed on its side, bleeding from countless wounds. It seemed those claws of that man's were too long, and the lumen couldnt get his claws in enough to do that much damage.

As it lay dying the light around it started to grow thin, until it was completely gone. Just before it died, the lumen let out a long, sad howl.

Larxene had gotten bored of watching Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf trying to kill each other, so she spent some of the time having a nice conversation with someone (http://community.livejournal.com/paixaorpg/160525.html). Rhough she did manage to see the final moments of the fight with... Gunzi emerging triumphant? Well, that was a surprise. To be honest, she wasn't expecting him to last long at all, much less stay alive.

The story was just full of surprises.

"It's about time." She stood up and walked off the edge of the rooftop, once again landing safely on the ground with no trouble at all. "I was thinking of jumping in and killing it myself."

Walking over to the fallen lumen, she gently nudged its body with her boot. Limp as could be, no movement at all.

"Worthless animal, you're better off dead." Larxene said before kicking the corpse. "Don't worry though; I'll make sure to exterminate the rest of your kind just so that you don't get lonely." Turning around and facing Gunzi, the Nobody headed over to his side. "I never knew Little Red Riding Hood was such a killer." She smiled, noticing the injuries he'd gotten.

"Cuts on the face and shoulder... Not bad for a first encounter."
