Falling Sky [active/open]

Character(s): Anyone and everyone
Content: The domes are falling!
Setting: Entirety of Paixao
Time: Week 42
Warnings: Probably violence and injury.
Note: This will be multi-thread style. Feel free to toss your characters wherever they may be!

There was a loud bang and suddenly the painted skies of Paixao began to crack. Angels and clouds separated from the mural they had once been apart of and began to fell to the earth, crushing anyone and anything they managed to land on.

They were the first, but they certainly weren't the last.

No, she didn't understand him in the faintest, not really. But save her was all Blue needed. Someone of his was still in the city, and he couldn't leave her.

"Alright then! I'll do what I can to help."

She kept pace easily enough with him.

The Doctor shouted back his thanks, bobbing and weaving through the crowd. He was used to this enough that he could manage, even though it was a struggle. Avoiding the falling debris was another matter; he had to keep an ear out for the sound of it nearby.

And what of Sexy? He couldn't just leave her, either. He only hoped she was either out of the city or getting out already, but he wouldn't give up on her.

"What does she look like?" Blue asked, bumping into a few people here and there and losing pace with the Doctor, but she was quick to make up for lost ground and meeting back up with him. Her eyes were scanning the crowd, keeping an eye out for any that might need help. Blue had been tracking for the old man ever since their home was destroyed. She was good at what she did, if she had a lead.

But she didn't exactly know that she was tracking a ship.

"She's got long, dark hair, kind of wild, and she's dressed in blue. She's got to be around here somewhere!" The Doctor, of course failed to mention that he was looking for a blue box as well as a person. Oh, well, she'd figure it out eventually. Besides, Blue struck the Doctor as being the sort of person who could think on her feet.

At last, they arrived at the apartments. Luckily, the TARDIS should be parked outside. Now, if only he could find her...

The dark haired woman had been intrigued when the sounds of destruction had begun, while she had been a part of so many other forms of chaos, she had never truly experienced them within her new body and there was much to learn of an ‘adventure’ such as this one. Fleshlings, however, were much weaker than TARDISes tended to be — how had she not foreseen that? Times such as these, Sexy hated that she was no longer in sync with the time lines and the vortex; she could have seen this all coming, she should have known. Her inability to see all was disturbing.

She had realized that the destruction was to be seen as a bad thing and hoping to keep herself safe, she had evacuated the apartments. Throughout all the chaos and falling debris, she found herself slumped against the partially destructed building that she had taken to calling a ‘home’ of sorts. Chunks of broken matter lie all around herself, wood chips and other various pieces of shattered walls ‘decorated’ her torn up, ragged dress — although her dress had always been that way from her time with House. Her eyes were closed and beams pinned her to the ground, unconsciousness had taken over her some time ago, but now she began to stir and twitch awake once more.

A groan left her lips, for the moment she could not fathom words but they would surely come in time.

Blue nodded to the description, settling it in her mind so that she could focus on any person that she saw and easily pass them by as a match or not. She'd like to think that the Old Man would be proud.

She took off from the Doctor's side, the illusion shifting away from the form of a human girl to that of a canine, and the half-wolf sniffed around, checking out every corner and continuing to scan the area until - there! Could that be...?

Blue darted to where the woman lay trapped, licking at her face and jerking up her head to bark loudly at the Doctor to get his attention.

He knew something was wrong even before Blue barked. The Doctor raced to her, his hearts pounding in his throat as he saw exactly what he feared. But she was breathing, and she was regaining consciousness, and he really needed to get these damned beams off of her. Gritting his teeth, he grasped at the fist and used all of his strength in an attempt to lift it.

"Can you help me, please?" he asked Blue, a bit sharper than he meant to be out of worry.

She twitched at the sandpaper tongue that dragged along her cheek and grimaced. Her eyes shot opened with a start and letting a cry pass her lips, her arms jerked above her body in attempt to save herself from being crushed — of course, she realized that the beam was being lifted from herself rather than falling this time. Relief washed over her, but she remained pinned under some few of them. Turning her head, she noted a dog — wait was it a dog? — and her thief.

“Doctor, the city—!” It was said as though he couldn’t obviously see what was happening. She gave a grunt as she grasped the beam he was holding to try and help move it from her. “What is happening?”

Blue wasn't bothered by the way the Doctor asked; she knew what it was like to need to protect those close to you. She only nodded and nudged her head under the beam, and then her human form was over her again instantly, arms pushing to help get the beam off of the woman enough for her to hopefully slide out.

"Don't worry about the city right now. We need to get you out." Blue's own advice stayed fresh in her mind. She had to focus on these instances, like helping the woman, or else the fact that the place she had long since called her new home was crashing down would bury Blue's mind along with it.

"I know!" came the reply, the Doctor holding up the beam as best he could so Idris could get out. "Come on, now, out you get. You've no time to be lying around, you know." Despite the sarcasm, the worry was clear in his tone, and he looked at Idris with barely-masked fear mingling with unabashed relief.

"I don't know, but this whole place is coming down! We need to hurry up and get out of here. You haven't happened to see your other self around, have you?" As he talked, he glanced around, as though hoping a blue box would simply materialize. Well, she did tend to do that.

Grunting, she moved from being trapped under the beam thanks to both of their help. Lifting herself to her feet, she pressed her hands to her stomach and wheezed a breath, turning on her heels to look at them both in thanks, though worry remained etched on her face. The place was crumbling to bits, she hadn’t been there long enough to deem it her ‘home’ but it was a place near to her heart — she could talk with the Doctor here, be with him as a ‘human,’ she hated the thought of losing it now. What would happen to the people?

“Pain is something I can do without from here on out, thank you so much.” It was spoken to no one in particular; she looked to the others and frowned at the Doctor.

“I did not see myself in passing but I can help you locate that silly box, Thief.”

Box? They were looking for boxes now? That... hardly seemed important, but who was Blue to judge? She crouched back, a hand still hovering out in case the woman needed it, and looked to the Doctor for direction.

"Now what, then?" she asked.

Once Idris was free, the Doctor set down the beam and moved to support her, worry etched on every line on his deceptively young face. "Once we get somewhere safe, I can tend to your wounds." He glanced around, then, as though hoping his TARDIS would suddenly reveal itself. "We just need to get out of here."

He looked back to Blue. "If we find my TARDIS, I can fly us out of here. She should have enough power built up by now."

Taking the woman’s hand, Idris stumbled nearer to the two, taking a moment to readjust herself being that she was in pain — an unfamiliar sensation despite having been through it once before. One time simply didn’t do it proper justice it seemed, she could do without it for the rest of her life within the fleshling body she’d taken host to. Standing now, with both of their assistances, she pulled her hand back and nodded in thanks to the woman before turning her attention onto her thief.

Lifting a palm, she touched his cheek and brushed a thumb along the bone there, lightly shaking her head. “You fret of many things already, Thief, do not worry of my current state. It will take more than a fallen beam to keep me down.”

Turning her gaze to look around themselves, she frowned. “Damn this hunk of flesh,” she grumbled. “If only I could track myself, it would be so much easier.

Where was I stored before this mess? I can’t have gotten too far from you.”

...Now Blue was completely lost, just staring at the two, openly confused. They at least seemed to understand each other.

She just... had to work through the things she didn't understand.

Squeezing the woman's hand, she asked the Doctor, "Do you remember any landmarks?" She knew the city's layout pretty well, even if it was rapidly changing around them. "Or... something from the ship that I could track by scent?" She glanced over at the woman, uncertain. She had some connection to the ship by the sounds of it, but... well. Blue's tracked people before. Or clothing. A ship though... She wasn't sure it was possible.

It didn't matter how... they just needed to get out of this city as soon as possibly.
