Falling Sky [active/open]
Character(s): Anyone and everyone
Content: The domes are falling!
Setting: Entirety of Paixao
Time: Week 42
Warnings: Probably violence and injury.
Note: This will be multi-thread style. Feel free to toss your characters wherever they may be!
There was a loud bang and suddenly the painted skies of Paixao began to crack. Angels and clouds separated from the mural they had once been apart of and began to fell to the earth, crushing anyone and anything they managed to land on.
They were the first, but they certainly weren't the last.

Cid's Shop
Unperturbed, the Londoner simply smoothed out her pantsuit - useful, for working in a shop like this - and waited for the fall to begin.

Still, he had to admit to being surprised to find Alice there, much less finding her apparently unconcerned about anything.
"The hell are you doing here? The damned city's falling apart!"

"Well, then, I suppose we ought to get out of here, shouldn't we? I hardly fancy being smashed into a pulp." She might pretend not to care about her own survival, but the situation frightened her, loathe though she was to admit it. Then again, she didn't have to; it was present in the quaver of her voice.

A brief moment later, he reappeared, carrying a bag with him. "Come on. Let's get th' hell out of this place before it gets any worse."

"And where shall we go after? The outside isn't exactly safe, either." Wonderland. Her Wonderland was here. She supposed she could bring Cid there, if worst came to worst, but she rather didn't like the idea of sharing her insanity with anyone else. After all, Dr. Bumby had made her do so with him, and all it had accomplished was the former gaining the latter's resentment. But this was different. Cid, for all his faults, had been unexpectedly kind to Alice, and she had grown to rather like him. Perhaps, if she offered...

Yes, the domes were falling. But until the dust settled they weren't gonna know how much of the city was still standing, or even if any of it was. For now, the best anyone could do was get the hell out of the way and wait. Still, if Alice happened to have a suggestion, he supposed the least he could do was listen. It wasn't like there was all that much else to do, apart from keeping out of the way of the worst of the falling rubble.

She was mad. She knew she was, and she was almost certain this place had been all in her head (especially with the revelation of Wonderland), but that didn't mean she could bring herself to stand by and do nothing.

"As long as it ain't falling to pieces, I won't complain," he answered with a shrug.
no subject
She only hoped they would make it out in one piece.

"Still sounds like a weird place, but hell. I'll take anything right now."
no subject
Alice hoped they could at least salvage some supplies from this mess; she had a feeling they would need them in Wonderland.

"It's probably gonna be fastest if head this way," he added, nodding in the general direction of the Joutenheim gate.

It wasn't often Alice could shake the sounds of Wonderland, and she wondered how long she could hold off before falling back into her world. She needed to take Cid there, not simply go on her own.
