What's the point of meeting if you're not eating, anyway? [Active]
Character(s): Gourry and Lina
Content: Lina and Gourry meet up for the first time since her arrival!
Setting: Jotunheim's Cheap Eats
Time: Early evening?
Warnings: Gluttony and slapstick violence.
It wasn't the first time Gourry had been to this particular establishment. It may not have been classy, but it just reminded him so much of home -- dimly-lit and humbly furnished, maybe a little shady at times, but altogether simple and without pretense, like most of the inns and restaurants he and Lina would have stopped to eat at in their travels. Then, of course, there was the food -- it wasn't half-bad, and you got a lot of bang for your buck. Lina had taught him how to stretch a dollar when it came to food, and even if that wasn't much of a concern here, it had stuck with him.
Even though it pained him to do so, he kept telling the waitress he was going to wait on his order, knowing full well that Lina would have something to say about it if he'd started without her. He glanced towards the door every so often, hoping to catch a glimpse of that all-too-familiar red hair or blindingly pink outfit, but so far, no luck. Well, he'd already waited a couple of months. A few more minutes wouldn't kill him. Lina was usually pretty punctual, anyway... well. When it was convenient, at least.

Eyes widen, Lina spotted him, “Gourry!” She gave a big smile as rushed her way over to him while waving. Just so glad to see her friend was here. Then she noticed he started eating without her, which made her slow down her pace a bit as she now focused on taking a seat. “Eeeeeh? Ya couldn’t wait-Of course ya couldn’t-Ooooooi WAITRESS! Gimme all the things ya got for this guy!” Lina loudly exclaimed as she jabbed her thumb toward Gourry, then promptly took a seat next to him, snerking as she poked him, “Ya were makin’ me worried ya got yourself lost y’know. Glad you’re here.”
