What Goes Down in Crazy Town [Active]
Character(s): Urd, Mickey, Emizel and NiGHTS. Also, who is that watching from the shadows...?
Content: NiGHTS is insane, Urd is worried, Mickey is angry and Emizel is guilt-ridden. And what was the "game" NiGHTS was talking about earlier?
Setting: Within the dome of Paixao.
Time: Sunset.
Warnings: Violence.
She'd been gone for a month. A month, and no one had noticed. Whatever had happened to the Nightmaren was oddly fuzzy; she couldn't quite remember what had happened to her in prison. Whatever it was, it definitely wasn't good, and the knowledge that Urd hadn't thought to look for NiGHTS made her tremble with anger. She took a deep breath, flying up from the building she'd been perching on to hover above the buildings.
Really, what was the use in being angry? She wanted to have fun, and so she would. It was just a convenient coincidence that it had the possibility of hurting those who had been responsible for locking her up in the first place. Closing her eyes and curling in on herself for a moment, NiGHTS focused on ripping a hole in the air and sending it to spread in the shape of a star. A cruel smirk curved her mouth, one that would have been better suited to her brute of a "sibling" instead of her as strange globes shot out from the darkness like shooting stars to hover ominously in the air.
With a tinkling little laugh, NiGHTS drifted idly over to one of them and flung it towards the ground.

Before the globe could reach the ground, she flew underneath it and kicked it back towards NiGHTS with a shout. "NiGHTS! Stop!"

Mickey made his way through the city, trying to see if he can spot NiGHTS. Then there was a rip in the sky. Eyes widening to look up at the scene, as he saw the bright rip in the darkness. Seeing globes emerge from the sky. At once, King Mickey summoned his keyblade rushed his way over to the scene.
No way, these were “friendly” balloons. As King Mickey ran toward the scene, he noticed Urd hitting one of the globes before they hit the ground. Good thing too, those things look like they could do a lot of damage. Without a word, King Mickey made his leap into the air, to bounce off all the sides of the buildings so he could make his way to smack one of the globes from hitting the ground. Landing back down ontop of one the structures in the area. He held out his keyblade, glaring up at NiGHTS, he wasn’t gonna let innocent lives get hurt. No matter what the reason.

At Urd's cry, she merely laughed coldly, pulling a face. "Stop?" she called in a singsong voice, whirling and dancing in mid-air for a moment before flinging another orb in the direction of the goddess. "Why would I stop? This is fun!" She winked at Mickey, having noticed the glare, and giggled.

Flying into the air, King Mickey slashed away with his keyblade from one balloon, swinging one toward NiGHTS. Making his way to the other in dashed leaps. Making sure to try and hit NiGHTS back with them. He held out his keyblade to cast his Pearl, which shoot bullets light toward some of the on coming balloons, before making himself leap toward another balloon. Trying to save the city from any more destruction

None of this would have ever happened if it weren't for him. If there was anyone NiGHTS should've been upset with, wanting to hurt, it should've been him. The rest of the city didn't need to be pulled down with it. And Urd was right about now not being the time to give up, it didn't matter how Emizel felt on all this or what caused it, NiGHTS had to be stopped somehow. Before he ended up destroying everything.
But what was he supposed to do from the ground? It was so high up there and his magic wouldn't be the least bit accurate from this range. The only way he might be of some use would be if he transformed, but, he couldn't keep it up for long. Using that was going to drain all his energy within minutes.
... He better just make every second of it count, then.
An unusual white array formed on one of the streets that eventually had something fly out of it, something black and large. It looked like was covered in a type of dark substance but once it dripped away it revealed some sort of jester demon with a huge scythe, which at the moment, was aiming straight towards NiGHTS.
"Stop this now!!" the voice distorted, but it was definitely Emizel. It seemed as though somebody else was already taking care of the balloons, he hoped that if he were to attack and pursuit NiGHTS directly he wouldn't have the time to summon more of them.

But what was this? Emizel's voice was ringing out, and NiGHTS looked down immediately, a playfully cruel smile slowly spreading across her face. "Or what?" she giggled, though she eyed the jester warily. Still, it didn't appear as fast as she was, so she whipped around, aiming a balloon at the creature and opening fire.
Well, not yet, but if it hit, it would be good enough.

A crack of lightening came down from the false sky, exploding the balloon before it got close enough to Emi to do any damage, though the blastwave might push him back. On the roof of a nearby building, Urd stood, wearing her battle uniform, her angel summoned behind her.
"Kid!" she yelled up to Emizel. "Don't worry about the balloons, we got it! Full onslaught!" She rose up in the air, nodding once at Mickey in silent communication.

Once Emizel got NiGHTS preoccupied. He took advantage of the opportunity, and quickly leapt into the air. Seeing Urd as he flew by, he gave a nod back in understanding. Dashing his way toward the balloon in a spin he smashed his keyblade into a few, calling out as he broke into his limit, “We can do this together!”
Flashes of light flew out from the sky toward the balloons as Mickey spun around, making his limit break hit them as much as he could. Helping Urd try to eliminate them before they do any more damage. Once his limit ended, he leapt his way to try and get rid of more of them.

It was around that time that he saw Urd, and gave a bit of acknowledgement before taking off again. "I'm on it."
It seemed like he was going to have to be a little more faster than that if he wanted to keep up with NiGHTS, otherwise he was going to keep dodging everything he thrown at him. Emizel wondered if he could hinder NiGHTS' flight with some strong winds and maybe slow him down that way. He decided to go with that choice for now and if it worked as planned, he would try to aim from fireballs and hope that it would be enough to at least knock NiGHTS down.

"Oh, come on, can't you keep up?" she sang as she rushed for the jester, attempting a damaging Paraloop (well, three, but who was counting)? "If you're not careful, there won't be much of a city left to save!"
no subject
This was becoming a juggling act. The sooner they could end it, the better.

Gripping the keyblade, King Mickey ran and made leap back toward the balloons. Making his way toward any ones she may have missed slashed away at them. Helping Urd get rid of as much as they could, calling out toward NiGHTS, “We won’t let you do this! And we won’t give up!”
no subject
Once NiGHTS got close enough he suddenly drifted to the right, had scythe ready, and swung at hir to knock hir back (thankfully with the nonbladed end). Even if it did work or not, Emizel had already prepared several more fire spells all around NiGHTS to do some significant damage. Perhaps a little too overkill than he should have, but he really didn't have the time to mess around.

The nightmaren gave a scornful laugh as she rushed through the air to fling more of them in the others' directions before heading right towards Emizel. "Let me?" she mocked, grinning. "You're barely keeping up!"

A breathe, then King Mickey lifted his keyblade to cast his “Holy” spell, which blasted himself in a huge ball of light toward the balloons. Smashing into them till they exploded in the air rather than the ground. Sending streams of pillar lights from the sky toward his targets. This spell wasn’t going to last long, but he had to use to his best advantage. He wasn’t gonna let this city get destroyed.

Though he wasn't showing any signs of it, Emizel was starting to feel his form becoming a little less stable. He had to hold on just a while longer, there was no giving up just yet.
Sorry, I didn't realize it was my turn! D:
The game was no fun if Some damage wasn't caused, at least.

Just as he moved Emizel suddenly dropped a few feet out of the sky unexpectedly, with the tip of the boney tail(?) dissolving back into the black goo again and spreading. The form was reaching its limit, and now really wasn't the time of it either. Using another little burst of strength he manged to turn the tail back to normal and then kept going. It was only going to be a temporary fix though, and unfortunately it was also using up more power that he use be trying to use conservatively.
After that he immediately swooped down to strike at NiGHTS again, preferably before s/he had the chance to paraloop the mini Urds. At least the closer he was to the ground, the less of a fall there would be if by chance the transformation does completely give out on him.

It crashed down on top of her before she got the chance to move out of the way.

But something was wrong. Even as she fought, NiGHTS couldn't shake the feeling that she was doing something terrible. And what had happened with her memories of the prison? Everything was so fuzzy. Doing her best to ignore the strange emotions whirling through her, the nightmaren redoubled her efforts. Why should she care about these people, when they had so easily abandoned her?

Then the laughter made Mickey’s ears twitch, twirling around in anger, he gripped his keyblade toward NiGHTS. Then charging with all his might toward NiGHTS he decided he had enough. King Mickey yelled out “PEARL!”
Streams of light bursted from King Mickey’s keyblade toward NiGHTS. Before he could charge himself in another attack, though, he couldn’t help but worry about Urd. As twirled around to do another attack, storms of light bursted from him again, sending a huge ball of light toward NiGHTS. He went flying toward the building that fell on top of Urd, to try and help her.
“HANG ON!” King Mickey cried out, making balloons flying back up as hit them with his keyblade, making them explode in the air at each other as he made his was toward Urd.

Emizel couldn't move at all for the moment, only able to register the fact that Urd went down. Something he thought couldn't be that possible. She wasn't even doing anything but trying to save people.
Suddenly he had an enraged outcry, and sought out an opening to slash at NiGHTS between the other keyblade attacks. No longer trying to hold back. No longer trying not to physically harm hir. This was for real now, it was revenge.
He will keep this up as long as he had to too, one swing after another. Until the last breath, which knew it won't be for much longer.

She was going to dig her way out by hand, praying all the while that Emi was holding on to himself.

"Emizel?" NiGHTS called out, and her voice was shaky and unsure in a way it so rarely was. "You escaped! That's wonderful!" But she was disoriented, and the strange sense of wrongness came upon her in waves, darkness threatening to bury her in its wake. Struggling against it, she called out again. "What's going on? Are you alright? What happened?"
The nightmaren suddenly clutched at her heart, letting out a shout of pain as it threatened to overwhelm her. "I can't... fight it! Get away!"
no subject
“Urd! Hang on!” King Mickey cried out to the goddess hoping to help her out in time, finally when he caught eyes on her hands he grabbed them to try and help pull her out. Holding up his keyblade, he casted Healing Light on Urd to help restore her health, “Heal!”

But the sudden change was startling. It was as if NiGHTS had no idea what s/he had been doing up until now. Almost as if...
"You're..." he had no idea what to make of this, or what he should make of it. And now suddenly alarmed at NiGHTS struggling against something, something he couldn't do anything to stop besides injuring hir more. He was just as helpless as the day NiGHTS was captured. "... N-no! I'm not leaving you again!"
... In hindsight, Emizel really couldn't believe he just said something that cheesy. And with his attention divided like it was, it looked like he wouldn't be keeping his word to stay by NiGHTS' side for long anyway. Black sludge crept up a leg and part of his cape causing him to tilt. He could only slow down the transformation back now, it was at its end and falling apart faster than he could fix it.

She looked up again, torn between the desire to make sure everyone was alright and the wish to tear them into shreds.

“There is always light! Please don’t lose hope!” King Mickey called out, trying his best to help them fight the nightmare that was trying to take over them. About to call out the powers of light again, “Don’t let it take it over! You have to believe in yourself!”

Darkness coiled through the air behind NiGHTS and the god flashed into existence, reaching out and pulling the nightmaren to him, scoffing. "Geez Louise, hanging out with these guys? What do you have here? The mouse king, the goddess that gets into everyone's business - better than her sister was though, HA - and... actually, I don't remember who you are." Sorry Emizel.
Hades rolled a shoulder. "Honestly, NiGHTS. This must be so boring for you. How about we hit the road, eh? Forget about these losers and all their constant yammering about hope and light," Hades looked sick at the thought, "It's always the same with them."
no subject
"You're not taking NiGHTS anywhere!" was probably the worst threat he could make at a time like this. The demon was fighting just to stay afloat, any more use of power now will send him plummeting.
no subject
"Get away from NiGHTS, Hades," she hissed. "This isn't gonna end well for you!"
no subject
"You know," she told Hades with a smirk, "I think you're right. I've got better things to do than hang around here."

"You know, something, I think this'll end just fine for me, thanks. Come on, NiGHTS, forget these saps and lets go." He waved long fingers at the gathering. "Ta!"

His usual self that was not able to float, unfortunately. Emizel was beginning to fall.

Urd leaped into the air to put herself in the path of the falling demon. Floating in the sky, she caught him gently in her arms. "Emi..." She descended onto a roof gradually, looking him over for any serious injuries.

She followed Hades, then, and was gone, the rip in the sky healing itself upon her exit.

But even if the demon did get rescued from a concussion, there was still something more important than that.
"... N-no, I can still.." Emizel twisted just a bit in Urd's arms so that he could maybe get up again. Someone had to stop Hades. Someone had to stop NiGHTS. And if he didn't do it now he was going to fail again.
He only had the strength just to turn around and had to stop there. It probably would take a minute or two before he could stand on his own, if he kept pushing himself like this. But by then they really would have gotten away, wouldn't they?
no subject
"That's enough, Emizel...save your strength. They're gone." She looked up at the sky where NiGHTS and Hades had been, feeling the fires of her anger cool to a heavier feeling.
True enough, she wasn't terribly close to the nightmaren -- something about the mix of light and dark within hir resonated too closely for comfort and she'd kept putting off getting closer. But she felt a certain weight of responsibility for all of the outsiders like herself and now, one of them was beyond her reach. Overcoming the Darkness had to come from the heart, and there was no better way to do that than with the help of friends. But did NiGHTS even have friends?
Urd shook her head and glanced over her shoulder at Mickey. "Your Majesty...thank you for your help here. It would have been worse without your aid."
