A Head in Heart-Shaped Clouds [active/open]
Character(s): Vyers, anyone!
Content: Following the Date From Hell, there's something a little... off about Vyers.
Setting: All around Paixao -- Party style!
Time: All around, week 30
Warnings: All women should expect flirtation.
Never before had Vyers realized just how many beautiful, wonderful women there were in this city. The grace with which they moved, their voices, flowing like a gentle stream... Ah, but the very thought of them made his heart race! And yet, alongside these feelings of elation, Vyers was troubled.
The woman he had longed to see again was once more by his side, was she not? That should be all that he desired. So then, why was his mind wandering to so many others? Of course, the moment he would think of Gwen, his love for her would surge more than it ever had before, but even then...
How strange love was, to be so fickle and yet so strong! As Vyers went about his day, his mind wandered, from woman, to wife, to the entire situation.

Walking along, she couldn't help but notice the odd demon on the opposite side of the street. Guess she was getting better with demons in a strange way, she didn't immediately reach out for her weapon as she would have back home if she would have met one in the same circumstances. Lucky him then.
Though, had she met him before? He did look familiar... oh well, he probably unimportant if she couldn't really remember him in the first place.

"To find someone so lovely wandering the same street as I..." he began, his smile widening into a grin as he winked and offered her the rose. "For you."

"Beh..... huh?" Was pretty much the most intelligent thing that came out of her mouth as she was suddenly presented with a rose. That stupid demon and his flower totally blindsided her. "N-no thanks... I don't really need that."

Walking along the twisting pathway of the park, Meg's thoughts darkened even more. So many blonde, blue-eyed couples strolling arm in arm, pointedly ignoring her. They simpered at each other, lovers in love with love. It was absolutely wretched.
So, frustrated at her own inability to stop feeling sorry for herself, she went off the beaten path and wove her way through one of the few, lightly wooded areas of the city. Maybe it would have been better to stay at home and mope...

He stared ahead, dreamy-eyed, from his spot on a bench, his mind filled with images of walking hand in hand down the streets of Paixao with the young women he had seen in the arms of another, until he suddenly caught sight of a woman walking alone. Her anger completely escaped Vyers at first, too caught up was he in the way her dress fell across her figure and her hair fell past her shoulders, but as he laid eyes on her face, he finally noticed her expression and he frowned.
In moments he was by the woman's side. "That expression does not suit such a lovely face."

"Thanks, I'll keep that under consideration," she said flatly, resuming her pace without a second glance.

Her back to him, she hugged herself tightly. "...just go away," she finally said flatly.

What he hadn’t been expecting was for the woman to suddenly start yelling at him so, and Vyers took half a step back in surprise as she advanced on him. He stumbled when she shoved him, which was enough to awaken some peevishness within the demon. He had done nothing, as far as he was concerned, to warrant such a vicious attitude, and certainly had done nothing to deserve being shoved. But any indignant statement he might have made was quickly forgotten once he took another look at her.
My... Whatever it was that was bothering this woman must be something else. Vyers was quiet for a moment, not moving at first, but finally he walked around the woman so he could face her again. "I already told you I had decided, did I not?" he asked, the corners of his mouth quirking upward in a gentle smile. "I do not intend to go back on my word so easily."
He thought a moment on what she had said before, a finger lightly touching his chin, before he continued. "A lie it may be, but who is to say we are to stay here forever? It may take some time, but we shall return. If your experience makes you hate this place so, then you may seek comfort in that."

She carried her belongings closely to her as she exited one shop, failing to look where she was going in the process of checking her package... "Oh, I'm sorry," she apologized, feeling someone brush past her suddenly.
blargh, short. .-.
it's not very polite to make cracks about my height y'know >|
"Oh. That's -- you don't have to do that. I can probably manage just fine..."
I do what I want. >|
m.... meanie. DX
"Um. All right, if you insist..." it seemed like she wasn't going to win the argument, anyway. Reluctantly, she offered her parcel to him. "It might be a long trek though..."

So much for lovely ladies, huh?
Ever since the adventure with Sokka and Suki, Toph didn't have much to do, except that spar with the
human-rabbitviera. However, all good things must come to an end, and Toph was once again left without anything to do. She did feel someone else walking by though, definitely not a citizen by the way he felt. Toph ripped off another piece of turkey before bending the earth directly underneath where he was placing his foot. Something interesting was going to happen today, even if she had to make it happen.no subject

She walked up to the strange man. Maybe she could start something by berating the poor guy. "Wow. I've seen better coordination in turkey-ducks. You sure you don't need a cane?"

Not that Vyers had any proof, but he was certain of this fact.
Sorry, but short tag is short.
