A Head in Heart-Shaped Clouds [active/open]

Character(s): Vyers, anyone!
Content: Following the Date From Hell, there's something a little... off about Vyers.
Setting: All around Paixao -- Party style!
Time: All around, week 30
Warnings: All women should expect flirtation.

Never before had Vyers realized just how many beautiful, wonderful women there were in this city. The grace with which they moved, their voices, flowing like a gentle stream... Ah, but the very thought of them made his heart race! And yet, alongside these feelings of elation, Vyers was troubled.

The woman he had longed to see again was once more by his side, was she not? That should be all that he desired. So then, why was his mind wandering to so many others? Of course, the moment he would think of Gwen, his love for her would surge more than it ever had before, but even then...

How strange love was, to be so fickle and yet so strong! As Vyers went about his day, his mind wandered, from woman, to wife, to the entire situation.

Priere was walking down the street, heading down to her usual place for lunch. She wasn't much for cooking herself and anyway, the food was practically free in the first place, so why not abuse it?

Walking along, she couldn't help but notice the odd demon on the opposite side of the street. Guess she was getting better with demons in a strange way, she didn't immediately reach out for her weapon as she would have back home if she would have met one in the same circumstances. Lucky him then.

Though, had she met him before? He did look familiar... oh well, he probably unimportant if she couldn't really remember him in the first place.

Now, Priere was used to getting hit on by the perverted old men back home. Heck, it was practically a tradition that ended with many glares and the occasional well placed kick. This time? She didn't see it coming one bit.

"Beh..... huh?" Was pretty much the most intelligent thing that came out of her mouth as she was suddenly presented with a rose. That stupid demon and his flower totally blindsided her. "N-no thanks... I don't really need that."
divine_storm: (Huh???)

The Dark Adonis? Hmm, that rung a few bells, she was pretty sure she heard something that ridiculous once. "Priere... you can call me Priere," she said, trying to ignore the man's obvious attempts at flirting. No, she didn't need to send someone flying right now, she had to stop getting into fights all the time around here. Just ignore him, like she did with all the rest. "Err, I was just heading down to get some lunch, so..." The 'leave me alone' left hanging.
divine_storm: (What do you mean Disgaea 2?)

Priere tried to be nice, really she did... but at this point. "Can't you take a hint?!" she said, quickly turning her head to stare at him dead in the eyes. Crossing her arms in front of her, she continued: "Look, I don't know why you keep coming on to me, but I'm not interested. Besides, I already have someone, so I'm not gonn---"

She suddenly froze in her tracks... oops, that last bit WASN'T supposed to come out. "Errrr... n-never... nevermind!"

To say she was feeling social would have been a blatant lie of the most hilarious sort, but Meg needed to do something, anything, other than mope in her bar. She'd been scaring away what few customers would wander in. While not working was just as bad as scaring away money in the first place, anything was better than brooding over a certain bandanna-wearing musclehead. Or so she thought.

Walking along the twisting pathway of the park, Meg's thoughts darkened even more. So many blonde, blue-eyed couples strolling arm in arm, pointedly ignoring her. They simpered at each other, lovers in love with love. It was absolutely wretched.

So, frustrated at her own inability to stop feeling sorry for herself, she went off the beaten path and wove her way through one of the few, lightly wooded areas of the city. Maybe it would have been better to stay at home and mope...

Meg nearly stumbled in surprise at the sudden appearance of one of the most feminine looking men she'd ever seen. In fact, she was pretty sure his waist was almost as skinny as hers. And did he have pointy ears? Great, she inwardly sighed. In this place, who knew what he could be?

"Thanks, I'll keep that under consideration," she said flatly, resuming her pace without a second glance.

"Because your opinion is the most important thing in the world right now," she snapped, turning on her heel with such ferocity that her hair whipped around in an auburn blur. She sneered up at him in contempt, walking towards him. "You want a smile? Give me something to smile about! There's nothing here, you idiot!" She shoved at him, her words losing their fiery edge and catching in her throat. "Everything here is a lie! Why don't you people get that?" She could feel the hot tears burning in her throat, blurring her vision. No, no, keep it together, girl... She clenched her teeth and turned away quickly before he could see the tears fall.

Her back to him, she hugged herself tightly. "...just go away," she finally said flatly.

Terra was gathering some supplies. She was hoping to find a place to settle in soon, and so stocking the shelves of her new home seemed important. Shopping was relatively easy in Paixao as it was, since the locals seemed to accept just about anything as payment... At first it obviously seemed strange, but after awhile, the fact that there were even shops to serve them was helpful.

She carried her belongings closely to her as she exited one shop, failing to look where she was going in the process of checking her package... "Oh, I'm sorry," she apologized, feeling someone brush past her suddenly.

it's not very polite to make cracks about my height y'know >|

As she focused on the man in front of her, she blinked for a moment. He certainly wasn't a native to Paixao. In fact, he didn't look entirely human either... she spaced out for a moment as she thought about it, brought back into reality as he offered his help.

"Oh. That's -- you don't have to do that. I can probably manage just fine..."

m.... meanie. DX

Captivated by his presence... that was, certainly one way of putting it. His actions confused her slightly, but she had to admit... it was hard not to be reminded of Edgar in this situation for some reason. Why? She wondered. Was she feeling nostalgic? They certainly didn't look alike... but the way they carried themselves... perhaps that was it.

"Um. All right, if you insist..." it seemed like she wasn't going to win the argument, anyway. Reluctantly, she offered her parcel to him. "It might be a long trek though..."

So much for lovely ladies, huh?

Toph was munching on a turkey leg she had gotten at Cafe Erestat and walking down a wide and busy street. She leaned against a wall and roughly tore at the meat that was still clinging to the bone, chewing noisily and feeling the weird native people of Paixao go about on their normal, boring business.

Ever since the adventure with Sokka and Suki, Toph didn't have much to do, except that spar with the human-rabbit viera. However, all good things must come to an end, and Toph was once again left without anything to do. She did feel someone else walking by though, definitely not a citizen by the way he felt. Toph ripped off another piece of turkey before bending the earth directly underneath where he was placing his foot. Something interesting was going to happen today, even if she had to make it happen.

[identity profile] blindearthgirl.livejournal.com 2011-04-07 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Toph frowned as she tossed the now bare turkey bone on the ground and licked her fingers in the noisiest way possible. These people were impossible to work with, even with a non-citizen making a fool of himself.

She walked up to the strange man. Maybe she could start something by berating the poor guy. "Wow. I've seen better coordination in turkey-ducks. You sure you don't need a cane?"

Sorry, but short tag is short.

"Tripped, huh? I didn't know these idiots could really do anything. What's a fancy-pants like you doin' here anyway? There's a lot of shady figures around you know." Toph wasn't just talking about the killer lions or the Organization she had heard about. She was also talking about herself.
