Entry tags:
time to have some fun [Open]
Character(s): Everyone who wants to be!
Content: An epic game of tag
Setting: The park
Time: Forward dated to Week 29
Xion waited eagerly at the park with Hope. The post on the message board got a lot of replies, even by people she didn't know. In some ways, she was a little nervous... but mostly excited. This was new, and different, and she couldn't wait to see how playing a game actually went.
[ooc: Ok, so this is mostly a free-for-all, but there are a few rules. One, first post will be a ~mingle~ thread. If you want to talk to someone, do so there! (It might be helpful to note if it's a private conversation, or an open one).
Second, for every new person that is 'it,' we'll start a new tag thread. So, say Hope tags Xion- we'll move from the previous thread and Xion would start a new one. Make sense? There's not really a posting order going, just tag (haha) when your character is being chased, or when you feel like it, or whatever.
Third, action tags are allowed! They are not required, but if it's easier then go ahead.
If you show up late, don't worry about it! It's tag. Seriously, join and leave whenever you want.]

He nodded slightly at the first question. "I'd've done better trying to talk to a mad rhino. He wasn't going to turn back. Angry didn't begin to describe the guy. He said he had to meet Sora because..." And suddenly Riku paused with an odd expression. "...He wanted to meet his other." However, he didn't sound so sure, like that wasn't quite right.
Riku's voice softened. "...If he wanted to meet Sora, why didn't I just take him? It'd've been easy. He was so angry..." There was another pause, and he reached up to hold the bridge of his nose. "What was he going to do? Why couldn't I just bring him? Why can't I...?" He glanced up to Xion. ...She's right.

If he didn't remember, then... had something happened? Or had it been related to her somehow, and erased with everything else. She reached out instinctively, then paused as she realized what she was doing. Riku probably still didn't consider her a friend... he might not want her attempt at comfort. Still, she gingerly touched his shoulder. "It's ok," she said quietly, "If you've forgotten, then... that's probably what had to happen."

Riku glanced to her hand at her touch, completely neutral to it. "If what you said ab--"
The teen was suddenly cut short. It felt like something in his head was being torn apart and rearranged. He leaned forward, holding his hand just short of touching his face, as if his own touch would make it worse. His fingers gnarled by pain, he grimaced and grunted. Riku's other hand went to his chest and he slid from the bench to his knees. Emotions flooded his heart. Determination. Hope. Concern. And sadness.
WHAT DID SHE DO?!
The pain subsided, and Riku opened his eyes, just to stare past the ground a moment, seeing nothing that existed beyond his own mind.
Upon familiar sand Riku knelt. The sun still felt warm against his black coat and blindfold. There was a girl in his arms, murmuring. ...What had she said? She sounded just like Kairi. She felt about as light, too. Riku didn't need to use dark senses to tell her body must have looked delicate. ...Her voice sounded worried. He sensed her expression mirrored this. A subtle sensation let him know the last time they met her hair was short. That same type of feeling let him know her bangs were in her face. Riku could feel the subtle touch of her hair against his glove as he brushed it gently away from her eyes. There was a sound! ..Someone was close by. ...Who?
Riku blinked, finding himself away from that beach. His heart pounded. As the youth turned back to the replica, his hand went into his pocket, slowly fingering the blindfold before pulling it out. Looking at her as if he couldn't place where he'd seen her last, he slowly put on the blindfold.
"...Xion?"

Now she was just confused.
"...Yes?" she asked carefully, watching his face. What had happened?

"...Are you alright?" she asked quietly. He seemed fine now, but she wanted to make sure.

"...All this time I thought it was Sora with the scrambled memories. I guess he wasn't the only one." He turned to face her again. "You're right about what you said. When I can't see you, you seem different." Riku paused, still facing her. The darkness of shadows on her told Riku she had short hair, and that she was petit. He could sense the general shape of her face, and that it was different than Sora's. The features, however... Those were harder to tell. "You sound like Kairi. But you look a lot like her, too, don't you."

She nodded again, before actually remembering to speak this time. "Kind of like her, yea... I think, anyway. I've never actually... met her." Though she'd thought she seen someone who looked like her around here somewhere. And since Riku had thought she was Kairi at first, that meant she'd probably come to play too.

"You should. To Sora, she's someone very special." Something felt very familiar about those words. Still, he smirked a bit. "I wouldn't have come today if it weren't for her. She's around."

"It wasn't fair." He "looked" briefly away and then back at her. "If Sora's awake and you were mostly made up of his memories, and everyone forgot you... I can guess what you did." There was the subtlest hint of a nod.

She didn't want to go yet, but Sora was so important. After meeting him, she knew that for sure.

"If I was going to forget all this, then I guess there's one thing I never got to do, regardless of where you ended up." He looked into her eyes, his tone smooth and as sincere as ever. "...Thank you."
Re: [closed]
To be thanked for it was different. Strange, even. But not unwelcome.
She smiled slightly at him, her (maybe false but no less present) heart lifting in her chest. Those words made the decision so much easier, for some reason. Even if they would be forgotten.
Realizing that she didn't know how to respond to it, she turned to glance over at Sora. "Do you know why he's alright?" she asked, looking back at Riku, "Even with me and Roxas here?" She hadn't been able to figure that out yet, though she was grateful.
