Dumped for oneself; or, many reunions in a day [active]

Character(s): Gwen and Vyers, Laharl later, and Flonne
Content: A LOVING, MOST TOUCHING REUNION! .... actually it's probably mostly failsauce for Vyers what else is new? and Gwen writing him off as coincidence... Then an actual touching reunion with Laharl.
Setting: Muspelheim gate area to Vyers' crammed apartment
Time: Week 25, afternoon and into the evening
Warnings: failboat!Vyers, timeskips here and there? XD

Gwen stays hovering around a bench in the gate area, the journal clasped between her hands and held before her. This place pulled people from different places and times, she had been told, and that it wasn't the Netherworld. Paixao fitted into something new, then. But Laharl was here - the older, Overlord Laharl whom she met first. That meant... she did succeed in her spell. She could be at ease now, knowing that Laharl survived and grew up... and the intervention of this place didn't manage to fracture any sort of timeline.

She waits, for who Laharl referred to as "the weirdo." Gwen isn't entirely sure how she feels about him. A gentleman, yes, but she has an inkling reminder of Krichevskoy from his personality and... it bothered her. She couldn't even explain why it bothered her. Krichevskoy was certainly unique, but... So instead, she pushes away the thoughts, filing them under "coincidence" and moving on.

And so, she waits.

Getting back to Paixao took far too long for Laharl's liking, not to mention then having to cross the city to get to Vyers' place. It was late that night when he and Flonne finally arrived.

Laharl almost immediately went to his mother's side. Apparently she'd fallen asleep far earlier in the day, which worried him. Why was she so exhausted? Settling on the edge of the opposite side of the bed, he'd stared at her in silent awe. She seemed real enough. Reaching out, he gently touched her hair; it felt soft against his rough fingers. Her skin also felt warm to the touch. The boy withdrew his hand, his mind settled. It was her. It was really, truly her.

He'd been so certain when she'd vanished before that he'd lost his chance; that he'd never see her again. To see her again was so unexpected, but he was thankful to have been given the chance again.

He was, however, also vastly worried, especially with his brief conversation to Larxene about Etna was still very much on his mind. He hadn't yet told Flonne about it. Larxene had spoken of delivering a message; he had no idea what kind of message it would be, though he still doubted she had Etna. Laharl just hoped he wasn't making a mistake trusting his gut on the matter.

Time ticked by, and after awhile Laharl felt his head grow heavy. He wanted to stay vigilant, but it had been a very long day. It was so tempting to settle his head down on the mattress...

Well... maybe for a couple minutes...

Leaning over, he settled his head on his arms, and the young Overlord promptly dozed off.
