Chiquitita tell me the truth (active / kind of open?)

Character(s): Naminé (mostly aimed for her housemates plus Xion, but anyone can add in as long as they don't mind the angst and yelling)
Content: Naminé's been returned and now she has to live with Xemnas' words
Setting: near their apartment, but not too close
Time: Uh... after the Xemnas / Naminé thread maybe a day or so?
Warnings: Angst, oh god the angst, and Timon if he turns up.

Naminé's non-existence had always been sewn with obedience and threats. From the moment she'd been discovered in Castle Oblivion to the time she'd worked with DiZ to restore Sora's memories to her time here with Timon, she'd been a creature of obedience. Only a handful of times had she disobeyed and that was only because she knew her obedience would hurt more people, hurt Sora. Naminé didn't care about herself, but she did care about hurting Sora. She wouldn't do it.

Now Xemnas was telling her that her life was again a life of obedience. And to be obedient was to hurt Sora. But this time Naminé didn't see any alternative. This time she couldn't protect Sora. And it was nearly killing her to realize that.

The portal dropped her off close to the apartment she shared, but not close enough that anyone would see her from that building. She didn't go back, not even to see if anyone had picked up her robe. Instead, fully visible, Naminé walked in the opposite direction, head bowed. She was going to hurt Sora again. And this time, there was nothing she could do about it.

Naminé didn't even care if she ran into Timon this time. It would serve her right if she did.

She wasn't sure how long she'd been gone, but she did remember falling asleep on a bench in an out-of-the-way place.

It made Xion more than a little worried, that Namine had almost just talked to her about the possibility of her vanishing and then she went missing. Even if it hadn't been a long time since she'd seen the blonde girl... she wasn't the type to go off without telling someone. Especially now.

She'd scanned the city briefly, not daring to ask over the network because that could always be hacked (she would know), not even asking Axel because of how he had referred to her as a 'witch' the last time they'd talked.

In any case, it was with great relief when she headed to the apartment, with the intent of asking Timon if he'd heard anything, and Namine was standing there. "Namine!" she said, hurrying over, "Where did you go? Are you alright?" Well, at least it looked like the Organization hadn't gotten her. They would have kept her... right?

Luckily--or unluckily, considering the demon's tendency to ask questions--it was not Timon, but Vyers that Namine would meet first. He seemed a bit distant, however, eyes shadowed by the reality of Larxene's return. His thoughts lately had been on other matters, and it wasn't until he saw Namine outside that Vyers finally realized just how long the girl had been gone. Even then, it wasn't until he had passed her that he realized she was there to begin with.

He stared at Namine for a moment, head cocked slightly to the side in curiosity. The frown he had had on his face had softened a little now that his mind was occupied with something new, but there was some concern in his expression. It wasn't difficult to notice that the quiet girl seemed more withdrawn than usual. Although "withdrawn" was, perhaps, not the right word. Troubled? And she wasn't going back to the apartment, either.

"Namine?" he called after her, hearing the name echoed by another. Vyers turned to see who had spoken up and found Xion was there as well. "Ah... And Xion?" He nodded a little in greeting to the other girl, wondering what was going on.

Xion wasn't a very good liar, and wasn't very good at being able to tell who was lying, but still, Namine was definitely lying. She didn't look very good, even if she wasn't obviously hurt. She didn't understand- what could have happened?

She nodded at Vyers in acknowledgment, but was a bit more distracted by the blonde Nobody in front of her. "Namine? What happened?"

[identity profile] mysterious-moi.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
Vyers placed a hand on his hip, listening silently for the answer to Xion's question. Just like the girl's body language, Namine's lack of response was worrisome. A part of him wondered whether or not she was asleep, but her movements before disproved that.

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Well... ok, that was a somewhat acceptable answer. And it would explain why she was upset. Getting lost wouldn't be fun, and potentially dangerous when you were trying to avoid someone. Which Namine was. So, Xion was alright with accepting this explanation- why would Namine lie?

"We're a little way away from the apartment..." she answered, glancing up at Vyers.

[identity profile] mysterious-moi.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
Vyers mad a soft "Mm" sound in response, not entirely convinced. She had made many trips into the city with Timon and him, hadn't she? To be lost in the city for an entire day and to decide to sleep so close? Wouldn't she have recognized the area? But he nodded to Xion. "A fifteen minute walk, I suppose."

Suddenly, Vyers straightened and reached into his jacket. After seeming to search for something, he turned back to Namine, inquisitive yet guarded. "Ah, mademoiselle. Sorry to bother you with this after your experience, but would you happen to have your journal on you? There is something I forgot to check."

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Xion nodded, moving to the side a little so Namine could get up. She was probably tired after getting lost. And it would be good to get her back anyway, because someone else must have been worried about her. "Right," she said, glancing behind her in the direction of the apartment.

[identity profile] mysterious-moi.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Instead of taking the journal, however, Vyers merely gave Namine a gentle, if not apologetic, smile. "My dear, if you were lost, why did you not use the map in your journal?" He pulled his hand from his jacket, revealing himself to be holding his own journal. He put it away with a soft sigh, glancing briefly over at Xion.

"We can go back if you both like, but if there truly is something wrong, you should tell us.

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Why was she so upset? Xion really didn't get this. She knew the map was on there, sure, but some people didn't... so if Namine just hadn't known, why was it bothering her so much? Was she just unhappy that she hadn't thought of that?

Xion really didn't know what to do with this.

"Come on, Namine..." she said, quietly, "Let's just get back, ok? We can talk when we get there."

[identity profile] mysterious-moi.livejournal.com 2010-07-10 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
For a moment, Vyers looked as though he was going to push the subject, but he quickly decided against it. They were unlikely to get an answer from the girl now, and it wouldn't do to leave her on the bench like this. He nodded, waiting for Namine to get to her feet and start back.

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Xion headed back towards the apartment, looking back at Namine when she spoke. "It's alright, as long as you're ok." Which she wasn't sure if Namine was, but that could wait. Maybe she'd feel better once they got back.

[identity profile] mysterious-moi.livejournal.com 2010-07-15 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Vyers nodded in agreement with Xion, his thoughts similar to the girl's but a little more suspicious. He couldn't help but notice that she wouldn't looking at them when she spoke, and while he had noticed that Namine was very shy in the time she had been staying with him, he couldn't ever remember her being this much so. But it could wait until they got home, he supposed.

“What’s everybody doing outside?”

Timon never was one when it came to timing. Nor was he one to make the best entrance, though always a rather notable one. The three would find themselves even more misfortunate when they realized what a foul mood the meerkat was in. Unfortunately he had left poor Roxas on a rather sour note and as a result returned to the apartment alone. That was, of course, until he noticed the three returning to the apartment as well. All three appeared to wear a suspicious expression on their face, something that concerned Timon instantly. Clearly he had missed something.

“As long as who’s okay?” he asked, repeating what he had last heard. “Who wouldn’t be okay? Why wouldn’t they? What’s going here?”

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2010-07-22 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Xion wasn't going to be very happy when she found out what Timon had said to Roxas, and she wouldn't be happy with him if he upset Namine now. She stood by the blonde girl's side, giving Timon a look from underneath the hood.

[identity profile] mysterious-moi.livejournal.com 2010-07-23 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Vyers looked between the gathered party and sighed, gently pressing his fingertips to his forehead. It seemed as though things were about to get quite a bit more complicated, especially since Timon didn't look entirely happy (my, he hadn't taken that joke too seriously, had he?). "I think we should let the mademoiselles get indoors first. It wouldn't do to keep them waiting out here."

“Lost?” the meerkat repeated in disbelief. “You got lost?” Timon shook his head and watched Naminé hurry past him. “You know, you seem to get lost a lot.” He could tell she was trying to hide something, something that was probably a lot more troublesome than he imagined. Her avoidance made that obvious. And anything she felt the need to hide from him had to be trouble. Why else would it be a secret?

Timon looked between the others, or rather glared between them, before he gave a groan in frustration. “Fine,” Timon replied to Vyers, appearing to have taken his words into consideration (for once). “We’ll deal with this when we get inside. Who knows who is watchin’ us.”

He did not mention Roxas’ absents.

[identity profile] whodoyou-see.livejournal.com 2010-07-28 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Xion glared at Timon with his tone, following Namine inside before looking around, less concerned with Namine's aim to hide because she wasn't disbelieving enough to try and wrangle the truth out of the blonde. Weird... Roxas was usually here, but maybe he went out for ice cream. By... himself. Ok, so maybe not ice cream. There had to be some reason, though, right?

[identity profile] mysterious-moi.livejournal.com 2010-07-29 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Vyers sent a short glare in Timon's direction as well. That sort of tone so soon was likely to make the girl even more defensive than she already was. In order to help, they were going to have to figure out what was wrong, weren't they? And even now it seemed as though Namine was in a rush to leave them all behind. "Were we not going to talk?"
