Casanova in Training [completed]

Character(s): Vyers and Roxas (eventually Timon and others?)
Content: Vyers decides to give Roxas a little friendly advice.
Setting: Vyers' place
Time: Noonish, week 22, before Larxene's journal entry
Warnings: Lulz

It was impossible for Vyers not to notice the commonality between Roxas's friends: they were both female. For him to have gained the close friendship of two lovely young ladies so quickly and to be so close showed quite a bit of promise for his success in further endeavors later on. While he seemed to have a natural attraction going for him, such skills needed to be honed and controlled, and with someone like Timon teaching him, the boy was likely to lose them altogether.

Luckily for Roxas there was someone like Vyers around, someone who knew well how to treat and capture the heart of a young lady.

"Roxas, may I speak with you a moment?" the demon asked once he managed to find the boy.

"Timon? Uh...all right." Roxas was going to find it weird doing that with anyone, so Timon was just as good as anybody else would be. "So I should just practice being nice to him?"

"Poetic? How do I do that?" Again, Vyers had lost his pupil in his attempt to clarify. Roxas had no real mastery of language to speak of, and considering his limited knowledge he'd decided it was almost a miracle he even knew how to talk in the first place.

"So you don't even know how to describe that one?" Roxas couldn't help but find that a little funny. "Come on, you tell me all of this and then you say I should go to the library. Now I get why Timon calls you an idiot sometimes."

While what he was saying was obviously insulting, Roxas had a genuine look of bemusement on his face. He was surprised he could say that about Vyers.

Roxas laughed a little more. "Calm down, I was only joking. I thought it was funny." He didn't get why Vyers was so offended.

"Maybe you should take some lessons from Simba," Roxas said with a smirk, remembering the day that he, the lion, and the meerkat had all started singing that "Hakuna Matata" song. Then again, Simba spent most of his time sleeping, and waking up that lion wasn't something that anyone in the apartment really ever wanted to do. It also wasn't the best of ideas to interrupt while he was eating...which is what took up most of the time Simba was awake.

"I meant the way he acts when he's awake, and he's not eating," Roxas amended. "He doesn't let much get to him."

"And if what Xion's told me is right, I used to..." his voice trailed off as his thoughts became distant. "...And I did leave them behind..."

Roxas looked up. Ironic, that he was just talking about Simba and thinking about Hakuna Matata, and then he got wrapped up in his past again.

"Yeah, you're right. Hakuna Matata," he said with a smile.

"It's something Timon and Simba taught me," Roxas said. "It means you shouldn't worry about things that happened before, and you should just keep moving forward."

For the boy who couldn't remember anything about his past, that motto was helping a lot.

"So...you want me to go to the library?" Roxas asked. The idea of doing that still perplexed him a little.

"All right, I'll practice with Timon, then." Roxas smiled. Having the option of staying away from the library was good, since it seemed every time he went somewhere new he ran into someone who got him angry.

Roxas nodded. "Yeah, I'll make sure to tell you how it goes."

Something had the blond in the mood for ice cream now, so he decided he would get some. "...I think I'm going to get some ice cream. See you later!"

“Roxas, there you are! I’ve been lookin’ all over for you.”

Too absorbed in their conversation, the two had likely failed to notice that the meerkat had entered the room. Thankfully for them, Vyers in particular, Timon was always one to announce his arrival shortly after entering somewhere. This way they were at least given the opportunity to stop themselves from anything they did not want the meerkat to overhear. Not that he would have likely picked anything up. Judging by the look on the meerkats face, it did not appear as though he had heard anything they had previously been said before he had spoken.

“Uh…” Noting the clear disappointment on the demons face, he paused and looked between the two for a moment. “Am I interrupting something?”

"No, I was just leaving to get some ice cream," Roxas answered. Timon came in shortly after Vyers had sat on the couch, so the blond didn't really notice that much of the demon's behavior. "You want to come, Timon?"
