Time is on my Side [Active]

Character(s): Urd and the Doctor.
Content: Urd has regressed to a child form and seeks the help and wisdom of the Doctor.
Setting: The TARDIS
Time: Backlogged to week 21, afternoon
Warnings: None.

There were few people in Paixao with the capacity to truly understand Urd and her abilities, much less have the knowledge to fix things when a crisis reared its head. As Paixao had proven, there were numerous worlds of varying makeup and a divine being from one dimension wasn't always the same as another. Urd had learned this the hard way when she tampered with the highly advanced magic of another world's god-like entity. So she'd figured she might very well be out of luck when she realized she was stuck in the body of a child.

Luckily enough, Paixao also had Genie, a being of extraordinary power and knowledge. And he, in another happy coincidence, just happened to mention the Doctor. Urd didn't believe in coincidence -- if anyone knew the pull and power of fate and destiny, it was her. So, leaving Genie to the tricky business of creating real, working moon rocks to hopefully reverse her condition, she set out for the Doctor's ship.

She wasn't sure how she missed it before. A blue police-box outside St. Destino stood out like a sore thumb, deceptively small and appearing as harmless and powerless as the thing it mimicked. Though Urd hadn't had any first-hand experience with the mysterious, mythical Time Lord, she knew enough at this point not to be fooled.

Striding up to it, one hand in her jacket pocket, Urd knocked forcefully, her expression far more grim and business-like than any normal child could express.

The Doctor wasn't exactly having the best day. Jenny still hadn't come back, and the journals were giving that rather unpleasant message 'user does not exist' for her for some time now. He shouldn't have let her go off on her own...

And then Rosette had seemed to go missing again. And then... then it was Rose herself. The same message on the journals, and Rose's cellphone couldn't be reached. He tried every scan he could muster out of the TARDIS, but... nothing. He had no luck.

Was that it then? She'd gone back? Back to the alternate universe? Or had something much worse happened to her? To all of them? The Doctor didn't like not having an inkling of the answer. Usually he could find some explanation, but nothing about this place made sense. It didn't feel right. Nothing did.

The knock on the TARDIS' door, made the Doctor jump from the console where he'd been leaning his head on in frustration. He lept across the TARDIS, to the door, pulling it open.

He looked hopeful at first, then his face fell for a brief second seeing it was none of his companions. The Doctor's expression jumped from confusion then to recognition, although he was definitely rather confused. He'd forgotten Urd was coming to visit him. This was certainly the woman pictured on the journals, but this was not the age that was shown. And given her grim expression, he had a feeling this was a development she couldn't be terribly pleased with.

"Well, hello there. ...Urd, I presume?"

Younger or not, it was still obviously her. The hair and the face markings, for starters. And, there wasn't too many others it could have been. Other than his companions, Urd was the only other one he'd told the location of the TARDIS to.

Quirking a brow down at her, the Doctor was certainly curious of what happened and why she wanted to talk to him about it.

"Oh, right! Yes!" he said, stepping clear of the door, to allow Urd to go past him and inside. He was clearly not as on the ball as he usually was.

I am failing with 3rd person lately ;-; blargh...

This would not be the first nor the last time the Doctor watched someone have this sort of reaction, though Urd seemed to quickly take it in stride.

"What? The Genie was talking about me, was he?" the Doctor asked, genuinely curious of what the Genie could have possibly said about him. He had met the Genie, but hadn't really spoken to him at length. Meanwhile, he pushed the door to the TARDIS closed, striding back to the console and leaning back against it, arms folded.

The Genie wanted his autograph? The Doctor grinned brightly at this. Well, he supposed he couldn't say no to the Genie, could he? Slowly his grin, however, ebbed away to something a little more somber as Urd unknowingly stepped into a subject that pulled at many various emotions inside the Time Lord.

"Well, actually, the Time Lords were my people," the Doctor began to explain, turning to the console, resting a hand onto it, almost fondly. "One of the most ancient and technically advanced races in the galaxy."
