A scientist and a scholar meet near a gate... (Active / Closed)
Character(s): Vexen; Zexion
Content: Vexen's coming back to the city from somewhere. And he runs into Zexion on his way back to headquarters.
Setting: Near Vanaheim Gate
Time: Week 16, afternoonish
Warnings: Vexen and Zexion?
He had no intention of joining the crowds of people streaming through the entrance, and created a darkness corridor. Walking through, he exited on the top of one of the buildings on the other side of Vanaheim, still near the gate, perfect for observation. He was behind on his experiments, having to leave the city in order to gather reconnaissance information for the rest of the Organization.
He stood along the edge of the roof, watching as people streamed in through the gate, almost all of them the citizens of the city. Were they interested in the new area outside of the dome? He mused over that thought as he watched the people below. From what he could read on the network, many of the outsiders were interested in the door beyond the Church.
"We'll just have to see how many people make it out there."

"We'll just have to see how many people make it out there."

Why were there so few of them in this place? What did Xemnas want with the others? He'd figure out those details later. For now, he'd settle for going to speak with Vexen.
A moment after his decision, a portal opened up behind Vexen - just in time for Zexion to hear his comment, as luck would have it.
"Fewer than they think, no doubt."

"Has there been any solid planning that you've seen to enter the islands in groups?" He was meaning the network, he hadn't had any time to read anything since he had arrived.

No, the most likely thing to occur would be that they'd find (and possibly defeat) the Heartless and promptly decide the effort was no longer worth it.
"As for groups, I believe there were several headed that way."

He smiled, a wicked smile, and laughed. It was a great day.

But that experiment could wait until needed. For now, this would do.
A moment later, he spoke up again. "You will also be interested in knowing that Marluxia is no longer considered one of our number, and is to be killed on sight."
no subject
"What happened to cause that decision?" Vexen asked, mildly entertained by the news.
no subject
"It was both determined and proven that he was a traitor to the Organization, and to Xemnas himself. He could hardly refute it, and those he was removed."
no subject
"Do you have any information as to what happened to cause this?"
no subject
"To cause the final decision or to cause him to decide to betray the Organization?"
no subject
It didn't surprise him that Marluxia had stuck around to cause problems, especially if he had been originally a traitor to the Organization. Information like that wouldn't be taken lightly by the superior. Not lightly at all.

Of course, his version of 'simple' wasn't always but this one of the rare case where the meaning matched well enough to the common usage. It had been the preparation that had been difficult, instead.
