What, we all wonder, is a goddess' weakness? [Active]
Character(s): Xemnas, Urd
Content: In the early night air, the Superior takes a peek into the memories of a certain goddess.
Setting: ....some city streets.
Time: Early evening
Warnings: Scheming? lol. Angry goddess? IDK.
There was always work to be done in regards to Paixao, in regards to the people; and certainly they had a variety of such to take into account. One could never be too sure what they had to work with in terms of specimens, and as a blossom of darkness broke away in the night air, depositing that of the Superior, Xemnas was determined to find out.
At least, of course, one of the more enigmatic of specimens.
Gods and goddesses, they had few. They did well at drawing attention to themselves, but he would continue to brush off the more.. active of sorts and lean towards that of the female called Urd.
Cloaked in black, with only a smirk revealed beneath the hood of his robe, Xemnas once again graces the streets. There is nothing subtle about this night, but the goddess would surely not be able to notice him right away, for wherever it was she stood, she was surrounded by Sorcerer Nobodies.

When she lifted her head again, she found she wasn't alone.
Biting off an unladylike curse, Urd immediately flew up, through the branches of the tree shading her, scattering delicate cherry blossoms. How had she not sensed them!? There were at least six, whatever they were. She may not have known where they came from or what they were, but she had enough instinct to know they weren't a good thing. In the few seconds since they arrived and Urd had leaped high into the air, she crossed her arms and summoned her magic. Electricity crackled around her and lightening split the sky, arcing down to the ground to hopefully shock the ghostly figures coming towards her...
...but things were never that easy. Translucent cubes appeared out of nowhere to shield the creatures, turning red briefly. Some kind of magic barrier? Oh, that was not good. The bulk of her prowess in a fight came down to significant magical power -- she had very few options for a strictly physical showdown. Perhaps it was a simple case of degree...a more powerful spell would be more effective, surely.
Staying still wasn't an option, she knew that much. Urd quickly darted from her spot in the sky, heading down to the roof once more to dodge whatever attacks came her way.

He waits in the streets, letting his Nobodies do their job for long enough. A distraction is all he needs, and weakening her is a mere bonus. The Sorcerers continue to weave around her, almost taking turns to attack her - a square shape of cubes circling her body and then unleashing a wave of hits (if she managed to not dodge away from all of them, at least).
How long does it take to subdue a goddess?
He continues to wait. The right time is necessary.
And then, at last, he reaches up a hand and calls a portal through the corridors, stepping through it and coming back out on the rooftop, off on the outskirts of his Sorcerers. He remains still and assesses the situation.

Between her raised arms, a ball of fuschia light grew, lightening cracking around it. This was one of her more serious spells and it showed by the effort on Urd's face as she concentrated on containing the power into one dense ball. Wordlessly, she tossed it in one direction, hoping to scatter the creatures like bowling balls. Unfortunately, the spell went right through them, skidding across the roof and tearing a path through the garden before finally exploding in a bright burst of light.
"Damn it..." she gasped, crossing her arms in front of her face and assuming a defensive posture as the cubes tightened their attacks.

As predicted, she was facing several complications. She may be powerful, but he had a hand in this that she would not even begin to comprehend. Xemnas moves like a shadow in the background, watching as she tries to defend herself. It gave him ample opportunity to do what he needed.
While she is well distracted, Xemnas glides across the ground, his Sorcerers stopping their attacks as he passes between them, and fades right through Urd's body, then settling on the ground before her. The Sorcerers remain still.
Xemnas rises his head a notch, curiosity flickering across his expression. "I see," he murmurs aloud, observing her. He processes the glimmers of her memories, a grin slowly creeping across his face.
He would have to take a different approach to her at a later date.
But for now... "How interesting. You are not simply a divine being as one would predict."

"Come on!" she growled, closing the distance.

"I believe you will be much use to me, goddess," he remarks as he lowers his arm and glides back several steps. Despite her power, despite everything that lurks within her and what he knows now, he continues to display only confidence.

"I'm no one's pawn!"

"We shall see," he tells her. He can't stay here any longer without risking anymore to his person. He summons another portal and disappears.
((Exit stage left! ...presuming that's alright with you :D))

Urd slowly lowered to the ruined garden, head bowed. Behind her, World of Elegance screwed her eyes shut, trembling very slightly.
((Sounds good to me. XD I'm gonna see if Belldandy wants to come see the aftermath. Thanks for the fun~))

"Who did this to you...?"

Turning back to Belldandy, Urd smiled once more, eyes dark with some emotion not readily available in her expression or voice. "I'm okay, really." She turned away again, her hair serving as a convenient way to hide her simmering gaze.
"...we have a problem."
