Mid-Boss Meet Mid-Mayor [Completed]
Character(s): Vyers and Timon
Content: The two meet up to continue where they left off.
Setting: Central Station
Time: Week 4, Mid-day
Warnings: None
For the first time in a long time Timon was not afraid to linger in the open. He carried a feeling of accomplishment, pride, and though he did not quite deserve it, that did not stop him from standing tall. Ah, as tall as a meerkat could stand at any rate. The Organization was far from gone; destroying their hideout may have only marked the beginning of something much greater, but for the time being they were of little threat. Though their return would surely be fierce, they, the Resistance, had plenty of time to plan their own attack. He was confident they could eliminate the threat to the city, especially with the way things were going. It was only a matter of time before Jafar, Hades, and Maleficent were taken care of next and then maybe, just maybe, he would finally get to rest his rump in the Mayor’s seat in City Hall.
Grinning at the thought, he looked up at the citizens that passed over him. Part of him doubted they even knew he existed, never mind the fact that he desired to be their Mayor, but he worried little of this. For the time being all they had to do was avoid stepping on him and he would be happy. The redhead doubted the citizens could wrap their heads around politics anyway, especially after electing a Mayor as useless as Oturo. He scoffed – and then paused.
"How brave of you, though, to be trying for the position after such a horrible crime~."
Timon frowned, glancing over his shoulder, feeling as though he were being watched. Finding no one there, other than passing citizens, he simply shook his head. He was just imagining things... And clearly going crazy. Well, wasn't that just gravy? At least it was at a good time. Allowing a trademark 'oi' quietly escape him, the rodent climbed up onto one of the benches inside the station. Alright, so he was still a little on edge, more so than he'd of liked to of admit, but that’s why Vyers was there... Or at least supposed to be. Where was that mid-boss?

While he had told Laharl he would not come by, he still felt as though he should at least check on the boy, to make sure he was all right. It was a fairly short detour, but it was enough to make him run a little late. He walked through the doors of the station, attempting to look past people and find the meerkat. It wasn't long before he found him waiting on one of the benches and Vyers approached him, grinning.
"My apologies for being late. I had a few last-minute errands to run."
no subject
Jumping down beside Vyers's feet, he looked up at him as he continued to speak. "Guess it's not too important, though I am curious. Like I said, we've gotta lot to catch up on. As you can probably guess I've been pretty busy. The usual Mayoral buisness and all that. You've heard about the resent happenings with the Organization, right? Or at least with Flonne. I know you know about that."
Taking a few steps toward the entrance, the meerkat paused to look back at the demon. "Oh, Vyers, I forgot to ask, how would you consider yourself at self-defense?"
no subject
He paused at the last question, not sure if he quite liked where this conversation was heading. Still, he would be polite and answer the question. "I am more than a capable fighter, and exceptionally strong, as well," he boasted, a faint smirk tugging on the edge of his lips. "Why do you ask?"
no subject
“The Resistance?” he repeated in surprise to the demons question. “Pfft, they’re just my lackeys. It was obviously all me… Well, okay, maybe they did help, but just a little. Geez, don’t you ever check the message board? I finally get to throwing somethin’ up and nobody even bothers to read it. Vyers, you need to be more observant, especially if you want this position back. I mean, you do want it back, don’t you?” Considering the demons likely response for a moment, the meerkat shook his head. “Never mind, don’t answer that.”
“I signed you up for some self-defense lessons. If you’re gunna be protecting me, even in times like these, I want someone who actually knows what they’re doing. You could use some work, plus I need to show Zack that I’m not just some ankle biter. Tch, nerve of that guy… And no, there’s no way of you getting out of this.”
no subject
He opened his mouth to respond to the first question only to have it--in a way--answered for him. Although, now that he thought about it, he really wasn't entirely sure what he thought about that job. On one hand, he greatly disliked being forced to do most of the work around... well, nearly everywhere they went. But, on the other hand, it was company and company was always nice. ...Unless said company was making him clean things, make dinner, and generally do everything.
...An opinion would be a little harder to come to than he first thought.
"Y-you did what?!" Some of the natives turned to face them as Vyers shouted, his teeth gritting a moment before he snapped again. "My fighting skills need no 'work!' I am in excellent condition."
no subject
"Self-defense lessons. I'm taking them too so relax, you're not the only one. A little practise never hurt anyway. Besides, I think Larxene proved we both could use some improvement."
He looked back at Vyers blankly, remembering the last time he had heard from the demon. Naturally he had ignored his orders to leave their hotel, and for that the demon had paid dearly. Timon had heard the electric witch had left him hung on a wall. He was clueless in terms of how the battle had gone but the end result told him more than enough.
“I’m thinking we should move back to Haja O Que… Uh, whatever the name was. I liked the restaurant there, the cooking was delicious. Plus, if the Organization were to come looking for us they’d never check the same place. What do you think?”
no subject
It was shameful to lose against one so wicked as her. Even if he didn't have the power he once had... He flexed his hands absently, and for a moment he doubted himself--but only for a moment. The woman was far to vile to even begin to be considered a fraction as great as himself.
Even so, he was grateful for the change in subject. "An excellent suggestion." It would keep him from being forced into making something, at least, and the rooms had been quite comfortable the last time they had stayed there. "Will we be going there first?"
no subject
“I think it’d be best we head there first, that way we get our room, it’s done, and out of the way. That way if we go out tonight we can just go straight to our room instead of wait to get one at who knows what hour.” Scratching his head, the meerkat waited for a passing citizen or Vyers to open the stations door for him. “Why, you don’t have anywhere you need to go, do you? If you’ve got a date or something just say so, I ain’t gunna follow you - as funny as watching you try impress a girl would be. Just don’t try kicking me out of the room to have her over later or I'll show her your rose print underwear.”
no subject
Although... there was one thing nagging at him in the back of his mind. One question that had gone unanswered and suddenly came ringing loudly through his mind. After a few seconds of sputtering, Vyers whipped back around to face Timon again. "H-how do you know about that?!" Had the meerkat been through his things?!
no subject
A familiar looking smirk appeared on his face as he listened to the Dark Adonis boast, a smirk that only grew when Vyers realized that the redhead knew about his lucky undergarments. He looked the demon right back in the eyes challengingly. “You learn a few things after living with a guy for awhile and trust me, if I’ve learnt anything, you’re not the charmer you think you are. Especially in the morning. Maybe I didn’t make it clear enough for you before but when I gotta go, I gotta go.”
no subject
"Mornings are a completely different affair. One must take special care in his appearance, after all." He paused before his gaze slid back down to Timon. "You aren't going to tell anyone, are you?"
no subject
"I might.” He replied to Vyers teasingly. “Depends if you get me mad enough. I don’t see why you need to get all dressed up for when no one’s going to see you though, especially while I’m waiting to get out. I outta lock you out of the bathroom and see how long you last. – no, I gotta better idea. I’ll lock you out before you can shower and call a bunch of girls over first thing in the morning. That way they’ll get to know the real you.”
no subject
Vyers sputtered a moment. "Th-that is hardly necessary!" he insisted, Timon's tone not registering at first. But, after a few moments, it finally did, and he responded half-jokingly in turn. "But I'm sure they would find me just as charming as ever. If anything, my brilliant personality would end up winning them over all over again."
no subject
Wiping a tear from his eye, Timon shook his head while the last of his laughter escaped him. It didn’t look like it at the moment, but the meerkat had accepted a challenge (jokingly or not) that the Dark Adonis was probably unaware he’d even made. For once, this was something that made the redhead dangerous. Vyers was in for an unpleasant surprise in the coming days.
“I’ll believe you when I see some proof about this said ‘dazzling’ of yours. In the mean time though, I’m hungry. After we get our room I say we grab a bite to eat.”
no subject
"You will see in time," Vyers assured him. "You just have to be patient." He sighed wistfully. "I was quite the charmer even then, you know." Oh, it had been so long. Sometimes he couldn't help but miss the days of his youth.
He had shaken himself from his nostalgia soon enough and turned his attentions back to the meerkat. "But a meal sounds like an excellent idea."
