Not in the moon's eye [active]

Character(s): Saïx and NiGHTS
Content: In the dark of the city, something not entirely friendly stirs
Setting: Somewhere
Time: Who can tell, with all the darkness?
Warnings: Potential violence

Ever since the former lord of the castle had been disposed, Saïx had been all but itching for a good fight. A chance to do as he had been born to do. To fight, to hunt, to know the 'joy' that came from tearing down an enemy with his own hands, his own blade. But the fight had been given the Larxene. Fitting, yes, but discomfiting. He could only silence the rage for so long once it had been awoken so thoroughly to the prospect. But he had been forced to, once it had seemed that this fight was not to be his.

Another outlet would need to be found, lest it tear free of its own accord.

The sudden plunging of the city into darkness... well, he could hardly claim to have known it would come, but it was certainly not something he intended to go to waste. Darkness called to darkness. And it would be hard to see just who he was in the darkness. Besides, he didn't need his eyes. His other senses would serve well enough in a time such as this.

Which only served to spur him forward into the darkened streets, yellow eyes half-lidded and cruel as he stalked through the streets, looking for a promising option. He had his intentions. Now he needed just one thing more. Someone to serve as the other half of the equation.

If Saïx had already forgotten that NiGHTS could shape-shift, it was NiGHTS' advantage, not her problem. She whirled out of her current shape to her usual form and attempted to catch Saïx in yet another Paraloop. Her best chance was to keep catching the other off-balance, try to knock him out.

She would not flee, not until the battle was finished. Even if she got injured - and she was, feeling her gut ache, blood seeping through - although it didn't look like mortal blood at first (it was a good thing she had neither vital organs nor need of them). She needed to finish this quickly, one way or another.

NiGHTS, truth be told, didn't bleed unless (like now) it was to throw people off, but it had taken her a minute to remember what human blood looked like. She was rather fond of red, anyway, but that was beside the point (at least at the moment) - and she should have realized better, but she was never terribly good at paying attention anyway.

NiGHTS growled under her breath, grinning in spite of the pain and the situation, and shifted again, this time into a rather large eastern dragon. She chuckled at Saïx - now, his sword wouldn't have nearly the effect it had, although her flight would be slower - and lunged at him suddenly, sharp fangs snapping.
