A Genie and a Goddess Walk Into A Bar... [Complete]

Character(s): Urd, Genie
Content: Urd goes house hunting and hangs out with Genie
Setting: ...kind of all over the place?
Time: Afternoon, Week 6
Warnings: None!

High above the roofs of the city's buildings, Urd floated in place. She was nearly touching the intricately painted and engineered dome sky. She scanned the streets and houses below before lowering her altitude slightly, flying forward.

Where would be a good place to set up a home away from home? She wanted to be in the heart of all the action, but the action seemed spread throughout the city. It was a shame she couldn't live up here somehow. She'd be able to keep her eye on everything that way.

Urd smiled to herself, long white hair streaming out behind her as she flew. A tall building would do. Perhaps one of the more expensive looking hotels? Even without any faux foliage or real money, she had confidence enough in charming her way in. And she could always lie a little...if she really wanted.

And if she found herself next to some of the interesting people she'd already come across over the journals, that would be even better.

Genie looked between his glove and Urd for a moment, then laughed. He had purchased the thing from a junior’s game, having barely for the glove itself, never mind peanuts. She was right though, the team must been defeated by now - if it even existed anymore. He had bought the thing in 1962, unknowingly that he would end up keeping it for such an extended period of time. It always seemed to happen with the strangest of possessions; a wild boar skull, a stuffed armadillo, and a plant that held a strong resemblance to Audrey, the monstrous plant from Little Shop of Horrors.

He didn’t say anything at first, surprised by the goddesses actions, then smiled at her. “No, no. I understand perfectly. No need to be embarrassed, it happens even to the best of us.” Genie replied, helping her down to the ground. He wasn’t sure if she was quite ready to stand on her own just yet, but allowed her without protest. Instead, he simply summoned a pair of knee guards on her in the event that she did fall that she did not scrape them. He did not end up regretting this decision.

Flying down to her side attentively after she had slumped down onto her knees, he listened to goddesses’ request. Both brows manage to shoot up this time, undoubtedly surprised by her question. Of all things, why would she want liquor? He continued to look at her, baffled as she assured him that she would repay him. Normally he would never approve such a thing, but he imagined it held some sort of significance to her current state.

“Very well!” he replied, suddenly appearing in formal wear behind a mini-bar. “I have to warn you though; I haven’t had much practise at this over the last ten thousand years. I might be a liiiiiittle rusty. Of course, this will give me plenty of practise for Al’s bachelor party.” The genie shook his drink shaker thoughtfully before coming to a halt. “But we could always go to a bar instead if you prefer?”
