A Genie and a Goddess Walk Into A Bar... [Complete]

Character(s): Urd, Genie
Content: Urd goes house hunting and hangs out with Genie
Setting: ...kind of all over the place?
Time: Afternoon, Week 6
Warnings: None!

High above the roofs of the city's buildings, Urd floated in place. She was nearly touching the intricately painted and engineered dome sky. She scanned the streets and houses below before lowering her altitude slightly, flying forward.

Where would be a good place to set up a home away from home? She wanted to be in the heart of all the action, but the action seemed spread throughout the city. It was a shame she couldn't live up here somehow. She'd be able to keep her eye on everything that way.

Urd smiled to herself, long white hair streaming out behind her as she flew. A tall building would do. Perhaps one of the more expensive looking hotels? Even without any faux foliage or real money, she had confidence enough in charming her way in. And she could always lie a little...if she really wanted.

And if she found herself next to some of the interesting people she'd already come across over the journals, that would be even better.

Genie laughed at Urd’s pose, shortly after finding himself pondering who would reign victor if Superman were to join their challenge. It was a difficult call, especially when Superman travelled as fast as a shooting bullet – or was it that he could catch a shooting bullet? Now he couldn’t remember. Both implied speed however and that convinced him the superhero would be challenge enough.

It was then he noticed the goddess had fallen back. He glanced behind him, curious as to what had held her back, but in that time suddenly found her race past him with an elegant pair of wings extending from her back. The djinn eyed them with interest while he could; trying to determine the extent of Urd’s summoning ability. He’d have to come up with something clever to keep up with her.

He rubbed his chin thoughtfully, snapping his fingers together when an idea sparked. If she could cheat, he certainly could too. Genie grinned as he spat into his palms and rubbed his hands together. A cloud of blue smoke engulfed him, as it was his turn to fall back. He did not stay there long however, for he quickly flew out of the smoke riding in a little fishing boat. With the little outboard motor doing a majority of the work, all Genie had to do was effortlessly steer the enchanted boat next to Urd. He said not a word to her, but his expression said all: bring it, girlfriend.
