'My will is law.' A bold claim for someone who had only recently arrived in the city. He did have to admit (albeit grudgingly) that the claim had shifted the blame from them somewhat. But even then, there was the fact that while they were doing no real harm they had no claim to the city. To his city. So he'd simply pay them a visit, largely to see what their intentions were before reporting his findings to Xemnas.

As for the great wall of thorns, that was hardly a problem - a portal bringing him through to the other side in no time at all, hood and coat providing him with a familiar anonymity. Now all that was left was to see who came to meet him.

That was certainly presumptuous. One thing Jafar did not consider himself to be was a tour guide, and he was rather displeased with the assumption.
