A Visit to the Center of the City [active]

Character(s): Saix and at least one of the Disney villains
Content: Saïx goes to talk to the people claiming ownership of the city
Setting: City Hall
Time: Evening
Warnings: None at the moment, although this may change.

'My will is law.' A bold claim for someone who had only recently arrived in the city. He did have to admit (albeit grudgingly) that the claim had shifted the blame from them somewhat. But even then, there was the fact that while they were doing no real harm they had no claim to the city. To his city. So he'd simply pay them a visit, largely to see what their intentions were before reporting his findings to Xemnas.

As for the great wall of thorns, that was hardly a problem - a portal bringing him through to the other side in no time at all, hood and coat providing him with a familiar anonymity. Now all that was left was to see who came to meet him.

He didn't have to wait long. Jafar had been waiting, perusing the network and making a mental list of probable candidates to breach the wall of thorns. Those most eager, in his opinion, were least likely to succeed, and it was doubtful that those most likely to get through the wall would bost of their intentions in a public forum. If all else failed, it did provide a low level of entertainment.

So he was not at all surprised to see a figure he did not recognize appear within the wall. The cloak was a nice touch. It was a few minutes before Jafar left City Hall, approaching the figure from behind.

"Good evening."

It seemed it was up to Jafar to initiate conversation, insomuch as any exchange between himself and the cloaked figure could be called "conversation." Fortunately for Jafar, he was adept at playing the proverbial game. All that remained to be seen was this figure's ability to do the same.

"I believe congratulations are in order," he started, gesturing towards the wall of thorns. "After all, it's not every day someone manages a visit, especially without an invitation."

"Thank you." It didn't mean anything coming from Jafar, but it was better than admitting he had not been the one behind the wall of thorns, so to speak. Why let the figure think different? "It is, isn't it."

No need for Jafar to admire the wall - after all, he'd seen it dozens of times before. Instead, he watched the figure, waiting for him to make the next move.

That was certainly presumptuous. One thing Jafar did not consider himself to be was a tour guide, and he was rather displeased with the assumption.

"Certainly." The word dripped mild acid and his tone turned flat on his next statement. He pointed to the wall of thorns; "The door is that way."

"I'd imagine you miss a good deal hidden under there." Having no hood of his own, Jafar had to keep tighter control over himself. That control had slipped momentarily, but it had just as quickly returned.

"Perhaps some fresh air would do you good."

"Certainly. After all, most have managed to miss an entrance. Obviously you've found one." He sidled closer to the figure - it might be possible to hypnotize him if he got in front of the hood's opening. For now, however, he would rely on his words. "I would ask how you managed it, but-" But there was no way the figure would tell him. Instead, Jafar took a different tactic. "Let me guess: magic." The word was derisive, as though the very idea were laughable - a bit of misdirection, as magic was one of the many things at which Jafar was adept.

"The barricade is more to keep the rabble out." He waved the question away. "But certainly you understand this."
