Save the younglings! [open, active]
Characters: Edward Elric, Alexander, Harry Dresden, Squall Leonhart, Timon, Princess Tutu, Simba
Content: We go to knock over a building and save babies!
Setting: Central train station (J6) and City Hall (I6)
Time: Afternoon, I guess
Warnings: There is a high potential for swearing and property damage in this thread.
At the train, Ed stole a pen and picked up a miscellaneous brochure from a rack before boarding a train to the center of the city, Alexander in tow. He had decided that he was not confident enough with his abilities to attempt drawing on his remaining hand while holding the pen in his mouth, much less on a moving train, and so he instead drew on the brochure. He put the drawing and the pen into his pocket as he exited the train and went outside to wait near the front of the station, watching for any of the people he’d talked to over the journals. It was unlikely that they would be able to spot him in the crowd since, aside from the color of his eyes, he blended in flawlessly with the local population.

He knew Nina was still unharmed, but he didn't know how long she would stay that way.

Arriving at the station, Harry stepped out of the train and looked around, his height allowing him to see over most of the crowd in search of a boy who looked like the picture in the journals. Course, given almost everyone in this city was blond...this might be harder than he thought.

Not to mention he was fairly certain Rinoa would have yelled at him if he hadn't gone to the rescue this time. Kidnapping, sure, fine. But kidnapping young children? That was more than a little uncalled for.
Finding the person he was supposed to meet at the station might be a little difficult - 'blond' was ridiculously common, but he would definitely stand out and not just because he had Lionheart slung across his back.

Yawning, the little rodent rubbed his tired eyes and observed the crowd for a moment. There was no way he could pick Edward out by eye, not unless he was wearing his bright red coat. However, on this particular day it appeared he had gone without it. How predictable.
Sniffing the air in search of the alchemists scent, he was pleased to find it present, making the only difficult task actually following it. He weaved himself through the quickly moving feet of the citizens, pausing every now and then to avoid colliding into citizen’s leg. When he finally spotted an opening, he dove for it, landing right at Alexander’s feet.
The meerkat stared at the large white paws before him before slowly looking up at the canine. “I know you think girls like a guy with little hair, but don’t you think you’re over doing it, Ed?”

As he straightened back up, he spotted one of the others who had answered his call-to-arms. It was hard not to notice the man, actually. He was huge. Taller than Alfons. Nearly as tall as Armstrong (though thankfully not as generally horrifying). Ed suppressed a small grimace and then shouted the name from the journal to get the man's attention. "Harry Dresden!"

Uncertainly, he nosed the weasel-thing.

Making his way through the crowd, Harry bent down and offered his hand to the dog, feeling a flash of concern for Mouse, his own canine companion. He hoped Thomas or Molly was taking care of the dog, ot there would be hell to pay. Looking up he nodded and said, "Edward, right? Nice to meet you. Is this everyone?"
no subject
"I don't know," he answered as he drew near. "Did anyone else say they were coming?"
He hoped the answer would be 'yes'. Their odds of success with this ragtag little group didn't strike him as being particularly good. They didn't even know what sort of resistance they were going to find waiting for them. But the point was more to have tried, right?

"Doesn't look that bad to me, actually." he replied before looking up at Alexander. He didn't mind the smelling, in fact, he had been just as curious about the dog. The closest he had seen to the mutt was a hyena, though Alexander in no way appeared as menacing. Well, not unless he sat on him, anyway.
As the others joined them, Timon continued to interact with the canine. Irritated, he pushed Alexanders nose back after receiving a gentle nudge from him. Then, he simply circled the dog before nudging him back on the leg.
Smirking, he casually leaned against the canine. "Didn't think you'd be here, Alexander. You babysitting Ed too?"

When she stopped, he stopped too, moving to sit beside her. Looking at the group of helpers who gathered, some humans, a dog...and Timon.
"Hi everyone." He said. "Good too see you again Timon."

He blinked a bit in surprise at the arrival of the lion, but managed not to make any visible start. Of course, he'd noticed that there seemed to be some talking animals around here, what with Timon and all, but he hadn't really expected to run into a lion... And he was somewhat puzzled that the lion was apparently friends with Timon. That didn't really seem to be inline with the usual food-chain schematics.
"This is everyone that responded," Ed said, shaking off his thoughts. He was sure total strangers would be better able to assess their own competence for this kind of thing than he would. And who was he to question anyone, he was missing a damn arm. Remembering that fact, Ed reached into his left coat-pocket and pulled out the train schedule that he'd drawn on and the marker that he'd used, holding them up and glancing around at the group. "Before we go, I need somebody to draw this on my hand as accurately as possible."

"Going to find Nina," Alexander said simply, remaining focused on the most important thing.
Hope nobody minds if I join in~
It was only moments before she spotted Squall's brown hair in the sea of blonds, and she instantly quickened her pace. The closer she got, the more she saw of the rest of the group, and the sight of the dog only made her miss her own. Oh, how she wished Angelo were by her side right now, but here or not, she knew that her friends back home would take care of him during her absence.
The moment she felt she was close enough to be heard, she called out, waving a hand in the air to make her even easier to spot. Not that her black hair was difficult to notice in the sea of blonds. "Squall!"
Sorry for failing ^^;
He gave Alexander a brief affectionate scratch behind the ears, before turning at Ed's question. "I think I can handle it. I've drawn my fair share of circles in my time."
Actually, the design Ed had requested closely resembled the designs used in several thaumaturgical rituals. Well, wasn't that interesting.
Taking the marker in his good hand and Ed's hand in his scarred one, covered by its usual leather glove, Harry sketched out the exact sign on the map with practiced ease. Once he was done he returned the marker and stepped back, eager to see what exactly the teenager was planning to do.

"Over here," he answered, waving her on over to the little crowd of people. One more person wasn't going to hurt after all. He still wasn't entirely sure that they had enough people to do this, but he'd admit that he wasn't the best judge of what any of the others could do. It wasn't really a comforting feeling, knowing he was going into a fight without knowing what everyone could do.
But he wasn't about to let that keep him from this. Not this time. This time he'd just have to trust to everyone else to know what the could do.

“Staying out of trouble I see.” he replied to the lion teasingly, deciding to try and remain as cool as possible. There was no sense in yelling at Edward for allowing them to come along, at least not yet. Timon expected the Alchemist to start a raucous, whether it would turn into something seriously dangerous, or simply something that lead to them being escorted off the property were two different matters. If things began to lean toward the first possibility, he would be sure to let his lips loose and send them back to safety. At that note, he wondered what Edward had in mind as he caught a quick glance at the drawing he held up.
Looking back to Simba he nodded. “We could use an extra nose, and I could use the extra company.” A chuckle escaped him, “Alexander is too serious n’ draggin’ me down –not that I blame him... Alright, maybe a little, but we’ll find Nina, promise!”
‘At least, I hope we find her.’ the meerkat thought.
sorry for the delay
"If this is everyone, then we should leave now. Too much time has passed already," Tutu said, worry showing on her face. "I haven't seen much of the city, and City Hall isn't marked on the map. Where are we going?"
She looked up as another girl shouted and joined their group. "Oh! Good! I'm glad more people came! Maybe there are more that want to help the little girl... We should put up a message telling them where to come if they've missed us here."
no subject
"Where was the last place you saw her?" He asked, mostly trying to gather information on where to start looking, and who he was looking for. "What does she look like?" Finding a lost child would probably be a challenge in this place.
no subject
"You're right. Could you put a message on the board? Make sure to screen it," Ed said to Tutu's suggestion. "It's only a few blocks." He gestured East.

When the blond mentioned something about being armed, it made Rinoa curious, but she didn't say anything, feeling that it was a question best left for later.
"I agree that another message is a good idea. Just to make sure nobody missed us. I just can't believe there aren't more people here who want to help a little girl." She said, directing her words towards Tutu.
[ooc: I'm cool with that.]

"Tell me about it. This doesn't seem the kind of mission we can get through with just our pretty faces and natural charm."
Standing fully he gripped his staff and looked around. It seemed like everyone was ready to go, and they had a direction, so it was best to get moving. The problem with large groups was they tended to take a while to do things would a clear leader. Right now that was Ed, so Harry would follow his lead.
"Okay, let's saddle up. If everyone's ready, I suppose we should get this show on the road." That said, he took a step in the direction Ed indicated, waiting for the others to finish up any last minute preparation and head off.
no subject
"Yeah." That last was more than likely intended to be an answer to one of Harry's comment, but in the end it didn't really matter (at least in his mind) as he too turned to head in the direction that had been indicated.

Without much else to say while the others discussed moving on, Timon simply listened and nodded along. Following their lead, he watched those behind him to make sure no one was left behind.
no subject
She nodded as the others started to move and pulled her light pink journal out of nowhere. "I'll post a message then," she said and started pecking at the keys.
no subject
"Just tell me what you want me to do." Simba offered, looking at the group of people. He knew what he could, and couldn't do. Plus, he could be intimidating if they wanted him to be. He wanted to find that girl, before something horrible happened.
