Finder's Keeper's! (Active)
Character(s): Glitch, Cain, Donna, Rosette, Harry
Content: Glitch mistakes Rosette for a scary homeless woman in an alley. Fortunately, he's with Cain and Donna.
Setting: J7ish
Time: Evening
Warnings: None foreseen
And so it surprised him to find a crazy woman in the alley he poked his nose down. She was clearly terrified, and Glitch's first instinct was to comfort her. But she was also crazy and very edgy -- and Glitch, not being the brightest or bravest, quickly held up his hands and backed out of the alley...
...And almost into Cain and Donna. Spinning, Glitch stared at them a moment, then looked relieved. "There's a scary lady in there," he confessed, somewhere between a man and a child. It was a simplistic sort of fear, and that made him seem more childish than he actually was. Also, his face was capable of creating almost cartoonish expressions.
"I wouldn't go in there. She yelled at me to leave her alone! I think she was scared of me. Me!" He said this as though he couldn't quite believe it. Why would anyone want him to leave them alone? He was certain he was charming company -- and not at all scary. "I think she might be homeless," he confessed breathlessly. Why else would she be in an alley? "But I wouldn't go in there to feed her, no sir." With an emphatic shake of his head, he turned to resume his course to the cafe -- or wherever it was he was headed.
A second later, he spun around with wide eyes. "There's a scary lady in there. I wouldn't go in there. She yelled at me to leave her alo--hey, where ya goin'?"

She'd made a journal post in the midst of her panic, hoping to get some help and instead winding up with that man instead.
...that man. That man had screwed her up but good, and she still didn't know his name. He was still just that man. Damn.
She already knew she couldn't trust the security on the journals - the Doctor had shown her that, and if the Doctor could get through it then she had no reason to believe that man couldn't either. So when he showed he was watching...
Well, she just couldn't tell anybody anything. She gave Harry her name (though she didn't know how it would help) and curled up, leaning her back against the wall and shivering. She was tired. She wanted to sleep. She wanted to find someplace where she could sleep and not have to worry about anyone coming for her. She wanted to feel safe again.
Unfortunately, none of that was happening.
She'd stayed where she was for she didn't know how long, dozing several times and always waking with a jerk. She couldn't sleep, not now...but she kept doing it, and the last time she did, she'd awoken to find someone staring at her. She hadn't reacted as well as she should have - shrieking and yelling at him to go away - but then again, she never reacted well when she was scared out of her wits. He'd run, and she'd tried to gather her wits. Hopefully he wouldn't come back.
No, but it seemed like her hiding place of sorts wasn't working anymore, as not five minutes later someone touched her shoulder. Rosette flinched away from the touch - she didn't want to see anybody, not yet, anybody could lead that man to her - but lifted her head and looked to the woman when she heard her speak. She knew she was a mess - hair mussed, face tearstained and dirty, and generally looking like she'd just gone through hell (which, in so many words, she had) - but right now she didn't care.
"Help?" she finally managed, still not quite sure who this person was - she'd said her name was Donna, yeah, but who was Donna? "Help- but how-" She shook her head, not knowing if she could trust this person - these people, actually, since yet another person had shown up - or even what was going on.
