Foundation Day Festival: At the Entrance
Character(s): everyone entering the festival by the gate
Content: weapons confiscation, greetings, etc.
Setting: Joco da Crianca Fairgrounds, entrance
Time: all day~
Warnings: Multithreaded posting format (please include time of day and sub-location in your comment's subject line)
For the festival, the Jogo da Crianca fairgrounds have been ringed by a modular eight-foot-tall iron-bar fence. Signs all around the vicinity point to the entrance, which is the only large gap in the fence. Because this is Paixao, there is a line to get in, but it moves quickly.
At the front of the line is a small security team; as people enter, they are asked to check their weapons or dangerous items with festival staff. Once unarmed, they are given a receipt to pick up their items on the way out, as well as one complimentary raffle ticket, and are allowed to proceed into the fairgrounds.
Just inside the entrance are two tents, one labeled "SECURITY / LOST AND FOUND," and the other labeled with "FIRST AID" and a large red cross.

Re: In line, 10:30
... It was a problem, though. He could fight without Haganemaru (although he didn't like to), but he couldn't talk without him. Not that he'd been a very talkative person to begin with, but his muteness had come back to bite him on a number of occasions.
After a second, though, he took the sword, still sheathed, from his belt and handed it over. "Be careful with it," he warned as the valet gave him a pick-up number. He'd only be in there for a few minutes anyway, if he had anything to say about it... which, unfortunately, he didn't now. But figuratively, the point stood.
"We will. Enjoy the festival, sir and miss!" the valet replied with annoying cheerfulness. Jintetsu didn't reply - not that he could - but started heading inside, gesturing for Marona to follow.
Re: In line, 10:30
The girl had not yet made the connection that his talking had something to do with the sword, nor had realized the fact that he was mute now.
"I-I'll try to be fast," she said to him when she'd caught up next to him. "I'm sorry to trouble you so much..."
The festival seemed quite large, but it didn't matter since if there was anyone she knew here, they'd likely stick out amungst the crowd. Of course, she didn't know many here, and several she had met had left, although only to come back again with no knowledge of who she was. Marona was a bit worried this search would be a waste, but for now she tried to remain somewhat optimistic.
