Foundation Day Festival: At the Entrance
Character(s): everyone entering the festival by the gate
Content: weapons confiscation, greetings, etc.
Setting: Joco da Crianca Fairgrounds, entrance
Time: all day~
Warnings: Multithreaded posting format (please include time of day and sub-location in your comment's subject line)
For the festival, the Jogo da Crianca fairgrounds have been ringed by a modular eight-foot-tall iron-bar fence. Signs all around the vicinity point to the entrance, which is the only large gap in the fence. Because this is Paixao, there is a line to get in, but it moves quickly.
At the front of the line is a small security team; as people enter, they are asked to check their weapons or dangerous items with festival staff. Once unarmed, they are given a receipt to pick up their items on the way out, as well as one complimentary raffle ticket, and are allowed to proceed into the fairgrounds.
Just inside the entrance are two tents, one labeled "SECURITY / LOST AND FOUND," and the other labeled with "FIRST AID" and a large red cross.

In line - Around 10 AM
Turning around, he smiled brightly at his companion. To be going to a festival with Uchiha Itachi of all people, who would've known! It was obvious the Jinchuuriki was in high spirits despite the events that had occurred only a day before. There was no point moping about it and he didn't want to worry Itachi. After all, it was tough on him too what with the memory loss and all.
"What should we check out first?" he asked, mind full with thoughts about the free food and games.
Re: In line - Around 10 AM
The amnesiac offered Naruto a smile as he considered the blonde's question. "You had wanted to get food, right?" he asked. "That might be a good place to start."
After all, that had been the first thing brought up when they had considered going to the festival. And Itachi still didn't seem surprised that Naruto was excited about the thought of free food. Somehow, it seemed fitting.
Re: In line - Around 10 AM
Oh and now the line was moving! Finally Naruto was able to look around the man's shoulder who was standing in front of him to see what they were doing up front. To his horror he discovered they were checking for weapons and the people who had some were asked to turn them in. He couldn't turn in his kunai and shurikens! What was a ninja without them? That decided it, he wasn't going to turn in anything. He made sure none of the security people could see him before gently nudging Itachi with his elbow, a mischievous smile plastered on his face. "Wanna see a ninja skill?"
Without even waiting for an answer he brought his hands together and muttered the name of his infamous jutsu. There was a small poof of smoke and where Naruto was previously standing stood a slender girl in a rather skimpy outfit with long blonde hair that was held up in pigtails.
It had been a while since he had used that jutsu and now was a good opportunity as any to show it off again. He was about to say something to Itachi but it was their turn so he simply winked at the Uchiha before fixing his attention back to the staff. He told them he had no weapons on him with a cutesy smile. They bought it and he was through along with a raffle ticket.
He waited for Itachi on the other side of the entrance, still in the disguise of a girl. He'd have to find a spot to release the jutsu without being seen somewhere.
Re: In line - Around 10 AM
They were asking for weapons it seemed, and Itachi was willing to assure them that he carried none. He could prove it, too, for he had left the very pouches Naruto had wanted to hide back in the hotel room. The Uchiha saw no reason to carry what he didn't know how to use. It was just extra weight, and he didn't really want to have it getting in the way.
Once through the entrance, Itachi caught up with Naruto. "I wonder why they don't want anyone to have weapons," he commented, voice soft so as not to draw attention. "It seems very paranoid for a festival."
Re: In line - Around 10 AM
Those were thoughts he definitely did not want to dwell on, it would dampen his spirits and he was here to have some fun, damnit! So without further ado he just grinned at Itachi and started bouncing off to where the smell of food came from but not before ducking behind a tent and lifting his jutsu. He'd be on guard but that didn't mean he couldn't go enjoy himself.
Re: In line - Around 10 AM
"Naruto? Do you think we'll run into Sasuke while we're here?" he asked as he kept step with the blond shinobi. If there was such a possibility, he would want to be on his guard. After all, the boy seemed rather eager to put a knife through his throat, something Itachi wasn't at all fond of.
