A Place to Crash (Completed)
Character(s): Ahnassi and Juro
Content: Ahnassi and Juro get a room. (No, it's not like that)
Setting: Actua Are [F3]
Time: Evening
Warnings: People with allergies to fur should stay away.
The walk to Actua Are was short, although not especially pleasant. It certainly wasn't unpleasant, either, but Juro wasn't exactly the best company, even if Ahnassi had decided by this point that he wasn't so bad to have around. He just wasn't an especially cheerful or talkative person. The Khajiit hoped maybe she could change that, given some time, but even though it was possible, it would definitely take some work. For the moment, though, it was enough that he was keeping her company. It meant she knew someone in the city, and that made her happy. With any luck, she would make many more friends soon.
Actua Are itself wasn't anything that impressive. It looked just the slightest bit run-down, although not nearly as much as some of the buildings in Pelagiad had been. If anything, it reminded her a little of home. Perhaps there were nicer places to stay in the city, but Ahnassi wasn't exactly a rich Khajiit and she was tired enough that she didn't want to go look at other places at the moment. This would do for now.
"Does Juro want to stay in his own room, or shall we share?" she asked her companion as they neared the doors of the hotel. "Ahnassi does not mind, either way, but it would cost less if we stay together."

She simply shrugged at his comment on the room size, since she hadn't seen the room yet and had no idea of how large it would be. She assumed it would be at least as big as the rooms in the Halfway Tavern, which... really weren't ~that~ large. Still, she expected it would be of sufficient size to fit them comfortably.
They would find out in a moment, though... They came to the room that matched the number on the key that Ahnassi had been given, and she opened the door quickly, half-tempted to try picking the lock instead of using the key, just to see how easy the room was to get into. She was pretty sure it wasn't anything special, though, given the shape of the key she'd been given. Either way, she certainly wasn't going to leave anything valuable laying about in there if she and Juro went out for a while. That was just asking for trouble.
As she'd expected, the room wasn't really that large... But it was bigger than a lot of rooms that she'd seen at various inns in her travels. There wasn't much in the way of furnishings. There were two wooden chairs, a little table with an oil lamp sitting atop it, a small cabinet, and one large and comfortable-looking bed. Ahnassi looked over the room for a moment, then nodded. It looked okay to her.

Human beds. Meh. He wasn't a fan of them, but it appeared to be the only comfortable thing in this room.
