[ OPEN ]

Character(s): Linali, Ikki, and Agito/Akito
Content: Crow-kun tries to make friends.
Setting: Paixao Central Station
Time: Thursday Afternoon
Warnings: Agito swearing, and Ikki being stupid.

Looking up at the crow sticking out of his hair, Ikki swore he could taste poultry in his mouth. It had been nearly a day since he had last eaten, and Ikki couldn't stand it any longer. He wasn't one to steal and so he was left to find food on his own. Yeah, he probably could have asked to do some work or something, but then again, he was too lazy to do that. And Akito said he had money, so he figured he pilfer it from the shark when he arrived. Hell, if that Linali girl was cute, or even decent enough, he could try and woo her(hah, he wished) and get her to buy him something.

He tried to grab Kuu(his crow that lived in his hair) but the bird evaded him, then bit him on the hand. Which only made Ikki angry. Kuu flew off the station's roof where they were sitting trying to get away from Ikki. Jumping after the bird, Babyface spread his arms like wings, his AT's allowing him to fly through the air like a bird, or a crow, a couple of stories over the street below.

And of course he was yelling at his bird, screaming, "GET BACK HERE KUU," and anyone around would see a crazy looking boy flying in the air after a white beaked crow. And they would mostly likely have to ask themselves, "wtf?".

"-the fuck?" Agito snapped moodily as he heard a familiar scream tear through the otherwise quiet afternoon.

Of course, the piss crow.

A snarl escaped his lips as he made his way over to the older boy- he was actually quite glad to see a face he knew, but of course, everything translated into the usual routine of annoyance, contempt, etc. This day was no different, whether he be in Japan or this Pieshow land.

"Hey Crow, finally decided to show up, huh?" he called loudly, half hoping Ikki would skate himself into a wall to stop his idiotic antics.

I ARRIVETH

As she described in her voice post (http://soundsplitter.livejournal.com/1880.html), the domed train station was in sight, nestled between the plentiful trees lining the sandstone sidewalks. Linali shut her journal and tucked it into one of the many pockets of her cargo capris. She decided to wear the clothes bought the other day: a cropped jacket, a white and gold tunic, and a pair of neutral-colored capris whose hem she tucked into her Dark Boots. Her hair was neatly tied into the usual pigtails with Anita's pearl and gold clips.

Moving along with the blonde-haired citizens commuting from their lunch break, the exorcist reached her destination. She stood examing the light gray structure. Was it made of stone or steel? Or both? There was something different about its components than the many train stations she's visited back home. It would figure, she thought, since even the trees here are synthetically made..

After sufficiently acquainting herself with the landmark, the girl proceeded to searching for Ikki, the boy she was to meet that afternoon. The one who declares he can fly with rollerblades. Or was it rollerskates? She doesn't remember. As far as she knew, those were just shoes on wheels. How could that possibly--

A large-beaked crow just flew across her face.

"....I...think I found him."

"Just because Akito said we had money doesn't mean I'm gonna give you any-" The boy was in mid-sneer when his hand suddenly passed across his face, his alterego surfacing as his eyepatch slid to the other side.

"Ikki!" Akito cried, twirling towards the Kogarasumaru captain with outspread arms. "I've missed youuuuuuu~"

He was ready to give the older boy a smooch when he noticed Linali nearby. "Ah- are you Ikki's friend?" He beamed, suddenly changing in direction and skating to her instead. Before he heard her reply, Akito about-faced again, calling to Ikki, "She isn't from Higachu, is she? Ringo will get mad if she finds out you've been seeing a cute girl!"

He giggled and skated in a circle around the exorcist, "Hi! I'm Akito, nice to meet you!"

Linali blinked at the other two boys' antics. It was a very familiar atmosphere, one she hadn't parted from for even half an hour. She simply smiled and shook her head, amused.

Her heels clicked as she walked towards the blue-haired boy and the crow man. Akito was quite shorter than she was, but at least those shoes--"'ATs'?"--gave him a considerable amount of height. Leaning over a little to look eye-to-eye with Akito, she introduced herself.

"Haha, I guess you can say that. It's our first meeting. My name is Linali! Pleasure meeting you... um? And who's Ringo? Higachuu?" Linali continued thinking, muttering her thoughts to herself. "Is this the boy Ikki was complaining about? What a mean guy! He's so cute..."

The Chinese girl looked up at the tall skater, chuckling while Kuu mercilessly pecked him on the head. She nodded to confirm his inquiry. "That's me! Nice to meet you, Ikki," she chimed, offering a hand.

Akito pouted as Ikki yelled at him, murmuring, "I won't~ Besides, Ringo isn't here anyway..."

His mood quickly picked up, however, and he skated into the taller boy, catching him in a hug. "Really? You're hungry? Let's go eat then! It'll be like a date- err, with Linali too!"

He glanced over at her, "Where do you want to eat? Since you're the only girl here, you should choose, right Ikki?"

Of course, he didn't actually know if she was hungry or not... But he assumed Ikki wouldn't mind taking her along for the trip.

(ooc: Question! When do you two go on AIM? :x I'd like to chat with you guys sometime.)

Linali was about to suggest the online message board, but Ikki had asked whether she was hungry or not before she was able to.

"Actually... I just had lunch." She told, shaking her head. "But I'd be more than happy to join you! And perhaps I can pitch in some money. I was lucky enough to have come here with a wallet."

Lucky she was indeed; otherwise she'd be in trouble for staying at Actua Are! But she already made a week's payment for her friends and for herself. The price was slightly numerous, but it was taken care without trouble. Linali pondered her finances, thinking that she might have to work here sooner or later.

Anyway, personal stuff aside, Linali stepped in between the two men boys and smiled at them both. "Well, let's go!"

"Simca? Hmm, haven't seen her either," Akito replied, though he was quickly cut-off by Ikki's outburst of, "FOOD!"

The boy dug in his pockets, and feeling a handful of the strange currency, nodded in reply to his fellow team member.

"Yup! We can go grab good things to eat~ Maybe Linali can just have dessert? That's my favorite part!" He rambled happily as he skate-walked next to the Chinese girl.

Linali stared at Ikki as he launched himself into the air and floated in suspension. Not bad! She guessed she'd show him what she could do...

She took a few steps forward, but paused to glance at Akito. She smiled at him quizzically. "Shall we go together?"

Of course, she asked that without the knowledge of him being a poor Storm Rider.

[identity profile] agitoxakito.livejournal.com 2006-09-15 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Akito switched his eyepatch, allowing Agito to take over for the brief trip. The irreconcilable boy muttered another insult at his teammate under his breath, before glancing over at Linali and giving her a shrug.

"Whatever," he replied, and took off with a casual burst of speed. (Though the gesture seemed rather rude, it was actually quite friendly compared to the rest of his callous personality...)

[identity profile] soundsplitter.livejournal.com 2006-09-16 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Huh," Linali said with a quirked brow, "that's strange." She continued musing over the small boy's change in personality--voice even. He sounded so much like Kanda. For a second, she wondered how the Japanese exorcist was doing. She smiled knowingly; then began to run forward and jumped into the air.

Soon, she was right in beside Ikki, rising higher as if there was an invisible set of stairs leading upwards. She grinned at Ikki. "Your choice! There are several restaurant around here!"

"Hey Piss Crow, you'd better not pick anything expensive, or else I'm not paying!" Agito warned the other Storm Rider before he was distracted by the girl soaring next to him.

So she can "fly" without ATs, huh... This place really is full of weirdoes... (Of course, the thought applied to himself as well, but it was futile trying to work logic into the kid.)

"So, where are you from again?" He asked Linali, eyeing her boots. (Nope, those definitely did not have wheels built into them...)

[identity profile] soundsplitter.livejournal.com 2006-09-29 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Despite the spiky-haired boy's antics (a.k.a. fry piercing and soda spraying), Linali enjoyed her lunch with the Storm Riders. They were interesting individuals, and she didn't find herself unsatisfied with their stories. She had been explained of the Air Trek world, Ikki's and Agito's histories, and more miscellaneous things here and there. It was all so fascinating. Ikki was full of confidence and flair: a spirit to admire; Akito was so sweet and full of cute, like a little brother! Agito, whom the girl found out to be Akito's other half, was very much like a certain swordsman she knew. The ex-Fang King had a hard exterior, but by the end of the hour he was speaking more fluently. She smiled and her eyes sparkled.

As Ikki inquired Akito about money matters, Linali pulled a large coin from her pouch and placed it on the table. "In Paixao, there isn't a constant currency. Paper money seems to be useless here, unfortunately, but I've inferred that the bigger the better and the shinier the more valuable. This coin should cover my half and perhaps Akito-kun's portion," she explained softly. Indeed all she said was true for she had conversed with the hotel receptionist the other day when she paid some of the bills. Hmm... I think I need to get a job soon...

In any case, the meal was fully paid and Linali bid her farewells, graciously thanking both Ikki and Akito for inviting her. She excused herself by saying that she had things to do (which she did), but she'd be more than happy to meet up again another time! She gave the Kogarasumaru members a hearty hug, grinning widely.

With that, the exorcist began her walk back to the hotel.
