Corpses are not a girl's best friend. [Completed]
Character(s): Briar Moss, Trisana Chandler, Marluxia, Demyx, Daja Kisubo (and Chime)
Content: ...Tris and Briar are exceedingly naked and possibly very cold. Tris sees corpses and loses all the grass she ate. D:
Setting: Center of Paixao (the stashun!) [J6]
Time: Saturday afternoon
Warnings: Tris and Briar are naked. There are corpses. Tris has issues keeping her food in her stomach.
It was remarkably strange to be a pony. It was even stranger to be a naked human after a few days stuck as a pony. It was cold. Tris shivered a little, reaching out through her magic, protecting them a bit better from the wind and rain/snow.
...That's about when her attention drifted to the corpses. The bloody mess, the bodies of women, children... it didn't matter. Tris fought with nausea, seeing those bodies. Everywhere, as far as she could see with her blurry nearsighted-ness, there were bodies. The smell was horrible. Tris gagged at it.
What really hit her, though, was that one of the corpses nearest her looked exactly like Sandry, exactly like the last time she had seen Sandry. Tris didn't notice that she was shaking- all she noticed was that suddenly she couldn't breathe, couldn't think. Terror and a cocktail of other nasty emotions bubbled up in Tris's throat, along with the remains of what had been in her stomach.
Tris fell to her knees, screaming. Her hair was not only sparking, almost entirley covered from top to toe in the seed lightnings.
It was Aymery all over again, except this was Sandry. Sandry, her ladyship, the one who had spun them together, the one who brought them together. Sandry who was no bigger than a bump on a log when she had stood up for her family. Sandry with her good heart to the point of frustration.
That was all Tris could think of. Suddenly, it didn't matter that she was naked or surrounded by nameless corpses and substances she didn't want to think about. Suddenly, the weather didn't matter. All that mattered now was that Sandry was dead.
Of course, it never occured to her that the startling resemblance was nothing more than mere coincidence.

Wrinkling his nose as the stench finally hit him, he sent waves of comfort down the re-established connection to his foster sister. He tucked the plants he had collected in the jungle into a pocket and draped his now sleeveless shirt over Tris' shoulders.
Tris, calm down, he told her, crouching down beside her. He wanted to pull her into a hug, but he wasn't completely sure that was what she needed right now. It's going to be okay... Really. Yeah, freaking out girls? Definitely not something he was adept in dealing with, despite the years of experience he had in dealing with his sisters and Evvy.

Daja says it's not Sandry... I guess... Tris took deep breaths- in through her MOUTH, but still workable with the meditation breathing pattern. She couldn't afford to be this upset, and it was testament to her degree of magical control that she did not totally snap her control on her magic.
I'm... better, Tris told both of her siblings. Wobbly, but better. We should go to the station and meet up with Daja, Briar. Maybe see if we can get on the train?

Perhaps wisely, Briar moved out of physical striking range before he started tucking his knives back into their places. He was definitely grateful that he had shrunk in the jungle, and was therefore able to get his clothes back before they left.
"We're going to need to get new clothes, I think," he commented idly. The plant-mage didn't think that running around without a shirt on was going to be very beneficial, not when it exposed quite a few of the blades that he relied upon having hidden. And he was sure that Tris would be better off with actual clothes, rather than just his torn up shirt.

She also stood, wobbling on her feet. Let's go.

While he may have moved before to avoid getting hit, this time, he closed the distance between himself and Tris. The plant-mage threw an arm around his sister's waist to help steady her.
Care to lead the way? You're probably still more familiar with this place than I am, and the time in that jungle has probably only served to make me forget some of what I knew.

All that Tris cared about at that moment was that she had Briar and Daja around, Sandry was not dead, and they needed to get into some kind of shelter.
Tris cracked a shaky grin.

He kept pace alongside his sister. Do you think Daja's changed at all since we last saw her? he questioned before tentatively reaching down the connection he had with his other sister. Tris said Daja was here, but that didn't make him certain of the fact.

Unconsciously he scooted back in his chair a little, idly ruffling the girl's hair, face paling at both Marluxia and Daja before looking back out the window.
"That," He started as he jerked his thumb towards Tris, or more of, the lightning. "is undeniable proof why I should totally not go out there."
no subject
"...And it was 1043 when she left."
The redheaded mage bit her lower lip, thoughtfully. Daja? ...You're talking to- IT'S MARLUXIA! Tell him I say hi-- Shut up shut up I DO NOT. Tris turned vaugley red in the face at the small flicker of thought Daja had come up with at Tris's reaction to the knowledge that Marluxia was there.

The plant-mage reached down the connection to his metal-working sister. Confusion accompanied him. Daja? What the hell?
no subject
"Well, this is all well and good. I'd rather not have to go around trouncing in a pile of corpses. I'm not dealing with that again. Once was enough."
Just the thought of what had happened last time was enough to make him unconsciously grimace, in memory of the smell and the eventual pain.
Sitting back down next to Demyx, he waited. "And try to tell her to keep the sparks to a minimum?"
no subject
Daja grinned, digging in her pockets. She set them down next to Demyx before heading to the front of the train to greet her younger siblings. They were still them.
She offered a few copper crescents for their fare, explaining that she would pay for their tickets. In short order, Tris was looking in on the train.
"...Hi, Marluxia! Hi, Demyx! ...Mila help me, that's Chime?"
Chime crooned, sitting up. "Tris!" the glass dragon chirped. Tris blinked a few times.
[Permission to play Tris was, of course, acquired from her player. Who I do not know AT ALL, oh NO.]

At a good enough distance away, the Nobody suddenly dropped his head on the brunet's shoulder, and buried his face into it.
"... Whyarewestillhere?" He mumbled.
no subject
Marluxia brought a hand up to pat Demyx's head. "Shall we leave, then?"
no subject
He stood up, brushing himself calmly and reached into his pocket, pulling out a few bills of money and waved it casually for Tris and the others to see before placing it on a seat on the other side of the train for easy access to reach.
... And all of a sudden he jumped right on top of Marluxia; his arms clasping right over the man's head while his legs hooked over the latter's waist, beaming over at the group.
"Don'tmissustoomuchmmkay?"
And just like that they were both enveloped in darkness before disappearing completely.

"Gods, Daja, you grew up," he said, as he confirmed that his eyes weren't playing tricks on him. Of course, hearing that she was older than them and actually seeing it for himself was two different things. Any disbelief that had been in his mind was completely gone now. He did, however, still want to know how she was so much older than they were...
"Is that girl made of glass?" Yes, Briar had caught sight of Chime.
no subject
"Tris picked her up in Thairos," Daja explained. "And of course I did. You don't remember going to Namorn, do you?"
"I don't," Tris said, sounding thoughtful. Chime blinked as Tris pried the journal she had been carrying from her hands, voicing a soft, curious sort of croon.
"We should probably get jobs..." Daja said after a bit. Tris almost flinched. Almost.
"I don't know about you, but Briar and I would be hard-pressed to find work here. Two children?"
"What about Briar's plant-magic?"
Tris resisted the urge to bury her face in her hands.
no subject
He then shook his head at Daja's comment. "No. We were still headed to Yanjing when I ended up here...."
And then, Daja has to bring up the plants... Briar sighed. "I haven't been able to feel any living plants in this place... They're either dead, or they're just not here. There is a place where there are some, but I can't use any kind of magic there, so it's pointless."
The young plant-mage then seemed to think of something. "I still have some of the plants that I used to heal that monkey... I might be able to do something with them, but they're in short supply."
no subject
At least, until the confusion she was feeling from trying to work out how Daja-from-the-FUTURE was here. "...Oti log it, Tris, you're giving ME a headache, thinking about it!" Daja muttered, rubbing at her own temples.
"Well, there is a place you could work," Tris muttered softly. "And Briar and I could always get jobs, even if they aren't to our liking. For now, though, we need to find a place to stay. I don't know about Briar, but I am exhausted."
Daja yawned, shooting a dirty look Tris's way. Tris beamed oh-so-innocently. "...And clothes for you two," Daja said. Tris ducked her head, turning red. "You weren't planning on going around in just a sleeveless shirt, were you?"
Tris rolled her eyes. "No. I also need glasses, because it smarts to look at Chime. I'm going to do what Marluxia said-" she pointed at the journal- "And meditate."
Daja nodded, watching her sister, amused.
[Oi, Paiger. You think we should close this thread and move on to Sunday? XD]
no subject
He then snorted at Tris' comment. Jobs? Them. You're kidding, right? Really, what kind of work could they do that someone older and more experienced couldn't? Unless...
"I'm nowhere near as exhausted as you, Tris, I'm sure," Briar replied, "But finding a place to crash sounds like a good idea."
At Daja's comment about their clothes, the plant-mage gave his older sister a funny look. "These were better than attempting to run around this city naked!" Yes, he was positive that giving Tris his shirt was better than letting her run around naked.
"What have you been up to?" Briar eventually asked of Daja. He figured that, you know, being from the future, she couldn't say everything that she had done that was world-shaking, but she could probably share everything that she had done with regards to her magic... Right?
