who's afraid of the big bad wolf [active]

Character(s): Red | OPEN
Content: Red is all kinds of depressed, lost and confused. Help her out?
Setting: Vanaheim Gate
Time: Evening
Warnings: TBA | But likely nothing.

She was breathless.

Her eyes stung from the tears that had been shed as she was drug through the forests of Fairytale Land and her lungs ached to be filled with air from all her choking sobs. What had she done? What had she become? Why hadn’t Granny told her before now? If only she had known, if only there had been some warning — she never would have removed her cloak ever again and Peter would still be…

Snow White had been tugging her along for the most part, she had been completely unwilling to leave the mess that she had caused behind; after all she deserved punishment for what had happened with the man she had fallen so deeply for, but Granny and Snow weren’t having it. Dragged through the woods, a sobbing and wailing mess, Red suddenly found herself in front of a large gate leading into an unknown city and to top it off, Snow was no longer holding her hand. She had just vanished completely.

For a moment, she stood completely at a loss for what to do. There were people, but none of them she knew and as far as the cityscape she could see beyond the large gate, she recognized it not. It was much more extravagant than any other city she had ever seen in Fairytale Land, she couldn’t place where she had ended up and as for Snow’s sudden disappearance; Red was beginning to worry about that as well. It wasn’t until some ‘friendly’ local folks began to push on her to get her moving toward the gate that she realized she wasn’t lost in some sort of dream, this wasn’t a nightmare — everything that had come to pass had indeed truly happened and now she was lost without her friend, her guide.

Rather than speak to the people, Red simply allowed herself to be steered toward a small booth with a man behind it, offering her the ‘latest technology’ — whatever that was supposed to mean. She felt too numb to truly take everything in. He was saying something about the functions and the capabilities that something had, but the words fell upon deafened ears. Trinket in hand, she wandered through the city’s gates with another helpful shove from the townsfolk with an almost sarcastic — “Good luck!” thrown her way.

As she wandered into the city, briefly looking around to take in her surroundings, Red felt her knees go weak and she collapsed to the ground below, the clack of her new toy hitting the ground echoing the girl’s ears. Lifting her gaze to look at the device, she extended a shaking hand to grab it and after a quick fight with it, opened the lid to look at it. She had never seen something so advanced in all her lifetime. It was safe to say that she hadn’t a clue how to use it; if she had listened more carefully, perhaps…

Red was all about ready to give up on getting the trinket to work when it made a noise. Unknowing what it was doing, unfamiliar with things such as recordings, Red simply assumed it still wasn’t working and finally just allowed herself to break down. From her ruby lips came a deeply saddened wail filled with both guilt and pain as she leaned her body forward so far that her forehead met with the ground below. Her shoulders jerked as she let herself recall the past few minutes of her life: too much had happened all at once.

Choking from her violent sobs, the young lady slowly began to calm slightly, at least enough for her voice to choke out the name of her lost friend:

“Snow…?” her voice trembled the word from her lips, slowly she hoisted herself up to at least be resting on all fours, eyes closed though she faced the ground still. “Snow, where are you…?”

Bothersome was perhaps not quite the right word. Not when he didn't really have the heart to be bothered. But it was still irritating, in a way that he could quite explain, to see other people finding someone who could even possibly be of the same world. He'd never had much patience for the more touching moments of life either, since he's lost his heart.

"To me personally? No. But neither do I have much interest in any conversation along those lines. Your world is rather clearly not my own." Thus it made perfect sense - in his mind, at least - for him to not be too thoroughly interested in what was going on at that moment. Yes, he could offer plenty about this world, but about any other he didn't know? There was nothing he could offer.

Wolf glanced from the girl back to the blue haired man. He was beginning to become a bit curious himself, “I don’t think I’ve ever had the chance to meet you myself,” Wolf recalled, he doesn’t think he ever bumped into this man before anyway. He tilted his head toward the blue haired man, “The name is Wolf, and I originally came from the World of the 9 Kingdoms. Where are you from?”

No, they wouldn't have. Not in a situation like this, and they certainly wouldn't have remembered him had they met in a less friendly situation. Either way, he wasn't about to admit to the entirety of the truth. There was no sense in walking straight into the teeth of that trap.

"Radiant Garden," he answered. That much was the truth, at least. Not that he would have cared to lie, but better to stay closer to the truth than not, and of the two places he'd lived, that was at least the one fewer people were aware he'd come from. "As to my name, call me Sirius."

Wolf gave a nod at the mentioned of Sirius’ world. Radiant Garden, he hadn’t heard of the place himself, the name of the place certainly sounds nice. “Nice to meet you Sirius,” Wolf said, then glanced over when Red introduced herself. He tilted his head slightly, feeling his suspicions were probably correct now. Wolf didn’t want to direct the attention about past fairy tale lives just yet though.

Gesturing toward the hood, Wolf gave a small smile, “Well it certainly fits and it’s quite a lovely name for you, Red.”
moonlitnaught: (that won't be necessary)

It had been nice. A comfortable place, well suited to the person he'd been at the time. Now, however, he was far less certain the same could be said. It was a fallen world, and a far cry from the home he'd once known. But those details were hardly things that he had any inclination to mention. It was better to let them assume what they would.

Instead, he offered a slight nod in response to Wolf's comment before turning his attention back to Red. He wasn't entirely sure he wanted to be anyone's friend, but it was at least better than nothing. "As he said. It's very well-suited to you."

Wolf gave a little chuckle in return. As he made himself more relaxed around the others, now that they’re all well acquainted, this will make things a bit more easier for him to get along. Wolf watched her twiddle her hands, a shy type. Well huff puff, that’ll make things hard for him, flirting that is. He won’t be able to resist this one.

“Well, there are plenty of places around here,” Wolf stated, “I can offer myself to show you around the city if you’d like.”
moonlitnaught: (why must we suffer?)

If it wouldn't have been exceedingly out of place for the overall tone of the conversation, Saïx might have laughed at the question of somewhere to stay. For all that the city didn't much care for its visitors at times, there were certainly enough places to stay.

"The city seems to almost be built to accommodate people like us," Saïx answered with a slight shrug. "I can't see there being any problem."

Wolf gave half of a chuckle at Sirius’ comment, “He’s right about that, I don’t think you will have too much trouble dear Red.”

Then Wolf held out his arm for Red to take, “Then you shall have it.” He nodded to Sirius, “Would you like to accompany us Sirius?”
moonlitnaught: (I hear; I listen; as is right)

[personal profile] moonlitnaught 2012-07-02 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
A tour. It wasn't a surprising offer, and it wasn't surprising that it was readily taken up. But it was also nothing that Saïx cared to involve himself in. True, he knew his way around the city. But actually managing to care enough to shepherd someone around? That was fair and away outside the realms of his patience. He'd leave it to the others - they seemed to care more about such things in the first place.

"I appreciate the offer, but no. I have other things I should see to."

“Alright, well, perhaps some other time then. It was pleasure meeting you Sirius,” Wolf told him giving a nod of understanding. Maybe this guy just needs to take their time adjusting to others before becoming friends with them. Wolf certainly knew when someone needed his or her space.

As Wolf let Red take his arm, he gave a nod, grinning to her. “Right!” Wolf gave half of a bow and saluted off to Sirius, “We’ll see you later!” he said as he began to lead the way for Red and him.

As far as Saïx was concerned, any further discussions could wait forever. True, he'd likely see what he could do to be at least marginally social if he were directly asked by either Wolf or Red, but barring that he intended to largely keep to himself. There were others who were better suited to keeping an eye on the people of the city, and so he'd leave it to them.

"Another time indeed," he answered with a nod, before turning and heading off in his own direction.

Giving a nod back Wolf watch Sirius go. He was quiet for a moment, what is it about that guy that kept him so aware, he doesn’t know what it might be. However, Wolf decided to not think too much on it, as he gave a small smile down at Red. Time to welcome this sweet girl into the city.

Wolf shook his head with a chuckle, “You’ll get used to it. And this is just one level. There are many others that you could explore sometime. For now though we’ll just focus on this city.”

Wolf gave a nod as he led Red to the nearest Inn available for her. He started to consider perhaps she could stay at his place with Blue. Ah, but that will have to wait for now, after all she just arrived and she must get comfortable with her surroundings first.

Giving a small smile as Wolf shook his head, “Oh of course it isn’t, I just want to make sure you’re comfortable here since you just arrived,” he gave an encouraging grin to her, before looking back up, “The family owned hotel near-by should be good, they have some nice live music there, and quite the nice restaurant inside. Grrrf, Oh how I do love their steak~!” Wolf recalled with glee.
scentacrosstime: (Haters Gonna Hate)

[personal profile] scentacrosstime 2012-08-18 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
“Oh no problem about that!” Wolf stated as snapped his fingers, as he made a little hop ahead, “You see! Money tends to grow on trees around here, kinda in the literal sense. So all kinds of jewels and shiny things can be seen on the plants here.” Giving a shrug, as he pointed, “Not sure how it works myself, but I consider it the lucky alternative.”

Wolf gave a nod, “We’ll stop by the park and pick up some money for you. That way you can have whatever enough you may need.”
scentacrosstime: (Quite The Charmer)

[personal profile] scentacrosstime 2012-09-11 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf tilted his head curiously about that, “They do yes. Awwooo, you think it would be heavy for the branches, wouldn’t then?” He scratched his chin, “But yet again the plants aren’t exactly living, so I guess the branches are just as heavy. Honestly I just assume it is some kind of magic that does it.”

Giving a nod, he grinned as he tilted his head toward her, “Not a problem at all dear Red! Anything for a lovely lady like yourself.”
