I've got a question. What's goin' on? [Active/Open]

Characters: Gourry and anyone who cares to join him.
Content: Gourry's arrival in Paixao! Cue him wandering around like a lost puppy.
Setting: By the Niflheim gate.
Time: Late morning?
Warnings: He's probably gonna talk about food. >.>

If anyone were to ask him exactly how it was that he came to this place, Gourry wouldn't have even been able to come close to explaining. That was really rather par for the course, but to be fair, these circumstances were even more confusing than usual. He vaguely remembered blacking out -- that wasn't really an uncommon occurrence. He'd gotten used to taking Lina's stray spells or various swings to the head, but now and then, one of them was still hard enough to knock him off his feet for a minute or two. Usually, though, he woke up in the same place he went down in, but this time...

Huh.

Seeing as the area surrounding was entirely unfamiliar, getting in line when he saw a number of people queued up to enter the city he'd found himself on the outskirts of just seemed like the thing to do. After all, if they all wanted to get in there so badly, it had to be worth it, right? There didn't seem to be much else in any other direction. Besides, now that he was awake, he was hungry -- as he tended to be near constantly during his waking hours -- and a city that size was bound to have all kinds of places to eat.

The line moved at a decent enough pace, and once he was inside, he stretched one arm over his head as he casually strolled down what appeared to be the main road from the gate, reaching behind his head to grab at his arm with the opposite hand and giving it a sharp tug, loosening his shoulder before folding both arms over his chest.

Wow. He lightly scratched at one side of his head. This place was big. Where to start? And where was everyone else, anyway? Not very nice of them to run off without him while he was unconscious.

... well. He was pretty sure that wasn't the first time that had happened, anyway.

Flonne was enjoying staying in the Netherworld with Laharl and the others, but she still enjoyed making little trips to the main city now and again. She could avoid the guards easily enough, but she still felt a little guilty sneaking away while the others were pre-occupied. Not that she had anything to hide, but she knew Laharl was still worried about, well, a lot of things. Including Flonne being taken away.

But she couldn't stay away! All their friends were still here, after all, as well as shops full of delicious cakes and treats. So now the fallen angel walked down the street with a happy smile on her face. As she turned a corner, she was just thinking of what kind of pudding Etna would like more when...

...she crashed into something solid and hard. "Oww...not again..."

"Oh, yes, I'm alright..." Flonne was quick to reply, rubbing her nose, now red from the impact. She looked up...and up at him. He was pretty tall! But the genuine smile on his face and the gentle tilt of his eyes allayed any intimidation -- not that she would be suspicious of someone she just met. "And I'm not a little girl. I'm Flonne, fallen angel of love!"

She smiled sweetly before bowing politely. "It's nice to meet you!"

She giggled. "Well, you look pretty big to me!" But at his question, Flonne tilted her head, confused. "Dessert...? Um, I don't think so. It's pronounced 'Floh-n!' Though something sweet does sound pretty good right now..."

In the false Netherworld she was staying at, there was a lack of sweets she'd hope to rectify by coming back to the town.

"Oh, don't worry about money!" Grabbing Gourry's hand, Flonne tugged him over to the nearest tree. On closer inspection, its leaves were made out of fine, delicate metal and shimmery fabric. She plucked a few and put them in his hand. "The shopkeepers here accept almost anything as currency. Flowers and other plants are all fake and made out jewels here, for the most part."

She held up a finger, frowning. "But just make sure you dress the way they want you to, or they might deny you service! It's really quite rude..."

((I am so sorry for the delay on this!))

"Well..." She looked him over, one hand to her chin. "You should be okay. They just don't like a lot of skin showing, you know?" Flonne took his hand again and lead him down the road like he was a child, talking all the while.

"Some shops are nicer than others. The poorer places, like Cheap Prayer or the places run by the gypsies usually don't care how you dress, as long as you can pay. Do you have a place to stay? The Iriela Apartments are pretty cheap, but sometimes you can luck out and find an empty house to camp in."
