I've got a question. What's goin' on? [Active/Open]
Characters: Gourry and anyone who cares to join him.
Content: Gourry's arrival in Paixao! Cue him wandering around like a lost puppy.
Setting: By the Niflheim gate.
Time: Late morning?
Warnings: He's probably gonna talk about food. >.>
If anyone were to ask him exactly how it was that he came to this place, Gourry wouldn't have even been able to come close to explaining. That was really rather par for the course, but to be fair, these circumstances were even more confusing than usual. He vaguely remembered blacking out -- that wasn't really an uncommon occurrence. He'd gotten used to taking Lina's stray spells or various swings to the head, but now and then, one of them was still hard enough to knock him off his feet for a minute or two. Usually, though, he woke up in the same place he went down in, but this time...
Huh.
Seeing as the area surrounding was entirely unfamiliar, getting in line when he saw a number of people queued up to enter the city he'd found himself on the outskirts of just seemed like the thing to do. After all, if they all wanted to get in there so badly, it had to be worth it, right? There didn't seem to be much else in any other direction. Besides, now that he was awake, he was hungry -- as he tended to be near constantly during his waking hours -- and a city that size was bound to have all kinds of places to eat.
The line moved at a decent enough pace, and once he was inside, he stretched one arm over his head as he casually strolled down what appeared to be the main road from the gate, reaching behind his head to grab at his arm with the opposite hand and giving it a sharp tug, loosening his shoulder before folding both arms over his chest.
Wow. He lightly scratched at one side of his head. This place was big. Where to start? And where was everyone else, anyway? Not very nice of them to run off without him while he was unconscious.
... well. He was pretty sure that wasn't the first time that had happened, anyway.

But she couldn't stay away! All their friends were still here, after all, as well as shops full of delicious cakes and treats. So now the fallen angel walked down the street with a happy smile on her face. As she turned a corner, she was just thinking of what kind of pudding Etna would like more when...
...she crashed into something solid and hard. "Oww...not again..."
no subject
"Sorry about that," he laughed brightly, rubbing at the back of his neck. "Are you okay, little girl?"
no subject
She smiled sweetly before bowing politely. "It's nice to meet you!"
no subject
If the thought to be suspicious had entered into his mind for even a moment, it didn't show. Why would she have any reason to lie about something like that to a stranger, anyway? He generally accepted that people were who they said they were, and that was that.
"I'm Gourry Gabriev. Nice to meet you, too! Flonne, right? Like the dessert?"
no subject
In the false Netherworld she was staying at, there was a lack of sweets she'd hope to rectify by coming back to the town.
no subject
"Something sweet, salty, spicy... anything sounds good right about now, I'm starving! Know where I can find something to eat around here? Hopefully for cheap. My, uh, partner -- she has all of our money, now that I think of it..."
no subject
She held up a finger, frowning. "But just make sure you dress the way they want you to, or they might deny you service! It's really quite rude..."
no subject
"I have to change my clothes?" He raised an eyebrow, puzzled. "That is pretty rude! They'd turn away a paying customer just cause they don't like how I dress?"
no subject
"Well..." She looked him over, one hand to her chin. "You should be okay. They just don't like a lot of skin showing, you know?" Flonne took his hand again and lead him down the road like he was a child, talking all the while.
"Some shops are nicer than others. The poorer places, like Cheap Prayer or the places run by the gypsies usually don't care how you dress, as long as you can pay. Do you have a place to stay? The Iriela Apartments are pretty cheap, but sometimes you can luck out and find an empty house to camp in."
