Three's Company [Active]

Character(s): Urd, Eden, Genie
Content: The love triangle begins?
Setting: Urd and Genie's house, M6
Time: ASS KICKIN TIME
Warnings: Someone's hair is going to get pulled. (Spoiler: it's Genie's.)

This was the last thing Urd wanted to deal with. She was no stranger to the jealous hysterics of other women (and though she'd never admit to it, she'd had some jealous hysterics of her own), but this was different. She'd always tried to avoid being the other woman, as open with her romantic needs as she was. When it came to romance, Urd needed complete and utter devotion. She needed to be the only thing her lover thought about! The center of their world!

But how could that happen if an old flame showed up? An old genie flame? Arms crossed, the goddess paced in the front hall of the house she shared with the best friend she had under these domes. The friend she'd been exploring other options with. The friend she was madly in love with at this point.

Why didn't he tell me? In her agitated state, Urd completely ignored the idea of conflicting timelines, even though she'd certainly had some experience in that area as well. Instead, her imagination was filled with a number of possible reasons why this had never come to light, the worst being that he still had feelings for Eden and that Urd had imagined his feelings for her being mutual. In fact, it was this very scenario that had her lightly thumping her forehead against the faded wallpaper in the hall as she waited for Eden to show up.

On any other occasion, Genie would have burst into the room bearing chocolate, roses, and a mariachi band to drown out such doubt. Such talk was nonsense. To think she hadn’t caught anything was outright absurd. The goddess had easily had him from the start, going so far as to leave him howling in the middle of their kitchen more than loud enough for their poor neighbours to hear. There was no mistaking what she had helped him find. What they shared. He had seen his share of magic but nothing compared to that which Urd had shown him.

… Or was it just a lie; had he been alone all this time? When she had said she did not know if she’d caught anything, did she mean that he was no prize? No, she couldn’t have. Could she? Genie placed his hands over his mouth and scooted closer, eager to hear more.
