(no subject)

Character(s): Jade, Luke, Guy, Tear...Florian?
Content: Jade requires...information. Good thing he has test subjects, I mean, friends.
Setting: Iriela Apartments II and behind said building
Time: Afternoon, Week 37
Warnings: None.

Jade set the book he was reading aside and stood up from the desk he had been sitting at for far too long. Arms behind his back, he turned and walked towards the window, the afternoon sun reflected off his glasses. The snow that had been falling had frankly felt a little too familiar...he hated the snow. Malkuth was like a summer paradise after the cold and bleak village he had grown up in. To say he was homesick would be a gross over-estimation, but at the very least, the snow here did little to break his pensive mood.

And there was a lot to be pensive about. Since arriving, Jade had busied himself with gathering information. Bad enough to arrive late to the party, such as it was, but it wouldn't do to go into this mess ignorant and blind. A lot of the information was a little hard to swallow, but Jade believed in rolling with the punches. If they had indeed been transported to an entirely different world -- a world with no Score, no fonons, no fonic artes -- then rather than fighting reality, adaptation was the only key.

Staring into space, Jade frowned. How were they functioning here? Theoretically speaking, if this dimension had no such thing as "fonons," how were they still existing? Forget using their artes, all things considered, they should be scattered into a million molecules without the environmental make-up of their own world holding them together.

"Luke," he suddenly called, his deep voice carrying thanks to years of military authoritarian training.

Tear, at least, seemed to understand why he was hesitant to use his ability... Guy probably wouldn't have been either if he knew, but he didn't, did he? Luke probably needed to actually talk to Guy sometime.

Meanwhile, Luke led the way outside, coming to a stop in a fairly open and empty area near the building. And there he awaited further instruction, not too sure of exactly how Jade wanted them to do this, although he couldn't say he was any interested in this prize of Jade's.
