Would you like to try a mousicle? [Completed]
Character(s): Basil, Toby and whoever finds them Alice, and Hatter
Content: The mouse is homeless and cold
Setting: Somewhere outside, possibly in a snow bank
Time: Evening
Warnings: ...Uh. Idk?
"Ch-ch-chin up, Toby old boy, we'll find somewhere warm to sit in no time," Basil chattered through clenched teeth. His coat was doing a decent job of keeping the cold out, but his poor hound was having a devil of a time with the snow. Basil himself had taken to using one of Toby's front paws as a wind break, so wasn't getting quite the brunt of the harsh weather. He was reminded of that every few moments when his hound was buffeted so strongly the poor old boy yelped. Each time made Basil cringe, and not just because of how loud Toby could whine.
"O-on s-s-s-second thought, Toby, perhaps it would be best if we rested for a spell. There's a bench right over there that should block out some of this wind." Basil patted Toby's paw in the right direction, and the hound started shoving his way through the snow over toward it.

“Alice… Remind me that frying pans are not a very good thing to twirl around with, it can cause quite a nasty headache,” The Mad Hatter got up taking off the pillow and brushing off the feathers as he grumbled to himself something about using frying pans as weapons, and how it certainly was quite right. As he got himself suited back up properly, he fluffed up his hair and walked over to where Alice was standing with Basil.
“So you found him out in the snow? My my, he shouldn’t be out there, it’s cold!” the Mad Hatter stated in fact, but then looked at Basil more closely giving a big smile, “Oh hey! I know you! You’re Basil that detective, the one I’ve met on the Message Boards! A pleasure to meet you again sir!” He looked back up at Alice, “Oh Alice, the snow, was there a lot of it? Neither of you didn’t manage to catch any on you did you? Those can become very wet and cold. Don’t want you feeling miserable, now do we? Now shall I get you two some hot tea? I just was making some pie in the oven and-OH! It’s Clementine, I hope that’s just dandy, I was thinking maybe strawberry, but it’s not quite the season for them. And hardly any fruit are in, but I wanted a fruit pie anyway so I thought perhaps this was alright! Is it?”
