Double romantic advice all the way across the sky [completed]
Character(s): Vyers and Flonne
Content: Two house mates have a nice chat! :D ...:D?
Setting: Vyers' place
Time: Week 34, a little after noon
Warnings: None
Trying to hide the small smile tugging at the edge of his lips, Vyers walked up to Flonne's door and knocked. He had been meaning to speak with the Fallen Angel for awhile now, but certain... events had continued to push the thought from his mind. Really, now that he thought on it a little more, there were plenty of things for them to discuss. He didn't know the girl as much as he would like, though he had seen much of her lately. It was easy to form assumptions from what he had seen, but that was nothing like actually knowing someone, and while he was pretty sure what the Seraph had seen in her, he was still curious.
"Flonne, are you in there? Might I have a moment of your time?" he called through the door.

It was easy to form assumptions from what he had seen, but that was nothing like actually knowing someone, and while he was pretty sure what the Seraph had seen in her, he was still curious.
"Flonne, are you in there? Might I have a moment of your time?" he called through the door.

She turned and headed back inside, going back to her open window to continue shaking out a rug as she spoke. "Is everything alright?"

Flonne turned and climbed back up onto the chair she had been standing on prior to Vyers' knock. Clutching a feather duster, her tail and wings wobbling as she balanced, she proceeded to dust the window frame. "Have you been having a nice time with Gwen-san?" She was secretly fascinated by their growing relationship -- a real grown-up romance!

At Flonne's question, he looked away awkwardly. "It is... getting better," he replied. While Gwen might have forgiven him for the previous week's mishaps, he couldn't help but feel embarrassed still. Quickly deciding to switch the subject around slightly, he asked "And yourself? How would you say you and Laharl are doing?"

She turned and perched on the edge of the bed. "I think it's wonderful that you and Gwen-san can continue your romance." She clasped her hands together, eyes sparkling as she stared off into space. "You've been blessed with a second chance! You must take this time to deepen your relationship even more!"
no subject
"Y, Yes," he began, pulling himself together and moving to stand near the bed. "I fully intend to use the time we have been given to its fullest extent." They couldn't say how much longer it would last.
no subject
"You must not give up hope when things become tense," she said gently, taking his hand in both of hers. "Even if she sees you humiliate yourself, I know she must surely still care for you a little!"
no subject
"Regarding Laharl," he said, a little bit louder than he intended and unintentionally ignoring the first question. "What were you saying before? About how he is since Gwen arrived?"
no subject
"Um, if...if that makes any sense..."
no subject
Vyers smiled with a hint of mischief. "You believe he is on his way to completely opening himself to love," he observed. "I can see that as well."

"Oh! Um, well...I...I hope so! I hope I'm not troubling him. I just want to be a good vassal for him. A good friend..."
no subject
"In fact, it is my belief that he cares for you much more than he would say."
no subject
"I...I know I was here before. Another version of me. I've always wondered if maybe Laharl-san doesn't wish that other me was here instead." She finally chanced a look at the demon, her expression more full of vulnerable longing than she even knew.
"Do you think he wants me here? Can I stay by his side?"

And as far as Vyers was concerned that was the deepest truth of the matter--what it all came down to. The ones you loved could disappear and reappear in this place in a variety of circumstances. One never knew if the day they spent with that person would be the last. There was no time to compare the now and the then. The present was too precious to let go of.

"But is that all?"
no subject
"Maybe it's because I'm from Celestia...?"
no subject
"How would you feel if you thought someone else felt the way you did about Laharl?"
no subject
"It...it hurts," she finally answered, her voice so quiet it was almost a whisper. She was stunned at this revelation, confused and growing scared. She finally lifted her head to cast a pleading look at Vyers. "Why would it hurt?"
no subject
"Any sort of love is that way," he was quick to add. He knew he was confusing her enough already, and though he wished she would realize it to be more than simple friendship, if the love of friendship was what she wanted to believe in right now, he would not stop her. "Harsh and painful, but never without meaning.
no subject
"Any sort of love...?" Flonne repeated, wiping away the tears that had sprung up. "A friend would want a friend to...to have more love. Right?"

Instead she stood up from the bed and picked up her feather duster, her back to Vyers. "Um, thank you, Vyers-san, for the talk."

Flonne turned around and began cleaning again, the conversation apparently over.
