(no subject)

Character(s): Mufasa and Simba!
Content: Let's get our bond on.
Setting: Near where he arrived. (Yes, this is that late. I am so sorry. ;-; )
Time: Early Evening (Week 32)
Warnings: There might be a lecture or two. We'll see.

There was no point in getting caught on the particulars. At least not yet. Mufasa had more than his fair share to deal with in the near future. But, for now, his entire focus was on Simba's arrival. His grown son would surely make up for the horrible deeds of his murderous, back-stabbing brother.

Lifting his head, the great lion stood his ground, his senses perked for any sign of Simba. Part of him was afraid. After catching the cub - no lion - in the Elephant Graveyard, Mufasa feared how far Simba would go to have some fun. He simply could not - and would not - risk his son getting hurt - much less killed.

If there was any sign of danger, he would run to Simba's aid. This new land was...strange - eerily so. Mufasa didn't know what to expect. Therefore he was determined to stay on his toes for his family's - and his pride's - sake.

HUZZAH!! \o/

Simba finally rounded the corner that lead to Joutenheim Gate, but before doing so, he peeked out from behind the side of a building. He smelled his father all right, and he could see him too. He took a deep breath, and walked forward. He was in plain sight now, and easy to spot from the human citizens walking to and fro.

He tried to force a smile as he walked towards Mufasa, but it didn't quite work. This wasn't the first time he had run into his father here, but that make it any less awkward. "Uh, hi, dad."

/flailyflail!!

Simba almost jumped at Mufasa. It had been a long time since he had a chance to get such affection from his father, and it felt odd. Still, he managed to return it, as he nuzzled him back a little. "Yeah, I'm fine." He stepped back again after a short while. He couldn't blame his dad for showing his affection like that, but it was still a little embarrassing considering he wasn't a cub anymore. For now though, he'd give Mufasa a break.

His smile faltered a bit. He wondered how much his father knew about his brother. "So...have you heard from Scar?" A touchy subject indeed. Simba wondered what his father remembered this time, and f he's be able to accept the fact that his younger brother was a murderer.

Is ok!! /much loves!!!

"Yeah. It's just...uhm... It's weird to see you after so long." Simba winced at his own words. Good job. Make it wound like you didn't want to see your father ever again! "I mean, not that's it's a bad weird! Just...weird."

The air suddenly became a lot heavier. Simba's gaze turned from his father to the ground in front of him. He sat on his haunches and traced his paw in the dirt. "No. It won't." Like hell Scar would manage to get either of them here. Even if he had Zira, Simba had managed to make a lot of friends, and his dad was also strong. They'd be fine.

An awkward silence descended upon the father and son. Simba was never a fan of tension. "Are you hungry?"

I track all threads I'm in, so you don't have to send me a message. Thanks though!

A small smile spread across Simba's muzzle. He had been friends with his dad. He remembered being a cub and looking up at the stars with him, learning about how the kings of the past looked down and watched over them.

The smile didn't last long when Mufasa asked what there was to eat. "There's plenty of food around. It's just there's no hunting for it." Simba nodded his head to point down a street. "I'll show you."

S'ok! I thought you sending the message was cute. <3333

"I don't know. I think the humans who live here do the hunting somewhere, but I've never seen any of them hunt either." Simba honestly couldn't imagine how they would anyway. It's not like they had claws, and their mouths were tiny with tiny teeth. "All I know is that they'll give you food if you give them the shiny plants." Simba trotted over to a tree and plucked off an emerald leaf from a low branch.

Simba chuckled a bit. "They don't just look weird. They act weird too. Their fur is fake, and they change it all the time. They also build fake caves to live in, and they're all filled with...stuff." That's really the only way Simba could explain the apartment he had been living in since he had arrived. It was a fake cave, and it was filled with a lot of useless junk. Still, he did prefer the beds and the couch to sleeping on the floor. "Humans also like to burn their food before they eat it."

He walked a little ahead of his father, taking him to the place where he had eaten with Roxas when he first arrived in Paixao.
