Into the [Macalania] Woods [Active/Closed]

Character(s): Riku, Link, Mao and Yorda

Warnings: MONSTERS, EXPLORATION, ADVEEEEENTUUUURE

"Just inside the door to Spira." That was what the note Riku'd sent everyone said. Close enough to the safety of the door anyone waiting could escape and just barely far enough in to satiate curiosity until the others arrived. Or at least his own curiosity.

So he'd thought.

He stood there, looking around in awe. At first glance he thought it had been night in this world, but as he examined his mysterious surroundings, he found no true stars amongst the shimmering lights. The forest itself was thick enough to blot out any sunlight, leaving the natural phosphorescence of the place to let newer growth emerge. Crystals and trees alike sprang from the earth to the point it became clear the growth was one and the same. The trees themselves seemed frosted in their own crystal. The trees twisted and intertwined amongst themselves to create eerie walkways through this serene place. Stranger still were the light trails that rose gently through the forest. It was as if the light from the crystals themselves simply rose away from their homes to create glittering ribbons stretched across the bows of the trees.

Riku leaned against the doorframe to wait, absentmindedly toying with his new keychain as he gazed at his surroundings.

[Yes, he's playing with a thick chain with an angry button attached to the end.]

Mao looked over at Yorda in confusion, still trying to figure out why Riku had that button. The button wasn't a big loss--it was, after all, just a button--but why would Riku keep it? Why attach it to a chain like that? "What? N, No, of course it isn't!" he answered, stumbling over his words a little. "I didn't even know this place had anything like this." Though it definitely made this place a lot more interesting, didn't it? Even if Mao did get a weird feeling about it. He didn't quite know why, but maybe that was because he was still having trouble not being focused on the strange button-chain.

Riku managed to sort of answer his question not too long later when he attached it to his weird wing... key.... sword... weapon thing. To Mao's surprise, the weapon changed form, switching from the weird combination of wings to something that looked a lot like his sword. Mao stared for a moment, unsure how to react, but soon took out his own sword, looking between it and the weapon Riku now carried. "How...?" he asked. "What did you just do?"
