It's a jungle out there [Active]
Character(s): Ma, anyone who wants to find a hysteric meerkat...
Content: Ma arrives, on the continued search for her son.
Setting: Vanaheim Gate
Time: Midday,week 27 erm. It's a week...
Warnings: Hysteric meerkat, valiant defender of Timon.
“Excuse me?” The motherly meerkat climbed her way up the counter, looking up at the keeper with determination. “I’m looking for my son, have you seen him? His name is Timon and I just know he’s gotten himself into trouble!”
The gate keeper looked down at her uneasily. She jabbed a finger at him, not at all threatened by his size. “I need to find him! My little Timmy… this is all that monkey’s fault!” What she wouldn’t give to hit him over the head again for sending her little baby after metaphors. Metaphors! Who did that? She pulls away quickly when he puts an animal journal in front of her, and she can’t help but begin to be suspicious. “What’s this? What am I supposed to do with this?”
“The little rodent. You can find him with th –”
“Little rodent? My son is not just some little rodent! He is a grade A meerkat, and you will do well to remember it!” She lets out a loud ‘hmph’ but snags the rock (journal) anyway, jumping down from the countertop. With her head held high, she enters the city… soon after breaking down in fear with this crazy little… rock.

Normally, new arrivals were usually of little interest, but this one... This could definitely go somewhere. If Timon had Roxas on his side, it was only fair that Axel should level the playing field...
With a grin, he attempted to get her attention. "Excuse me ma'am, did you say Timon?"
s-sob
"Yes! Timon! Please - I need to find him! I just know he's in danger!" All on his lonesome... with all these strangers around; it was just asking for trouble!
:>
"In fact, I talked to him myself just earlier in the week. Nothing to worry about. I'm not entirely sure where he is at this moment, but I can certainly show you where he's been keeping himself these days."
no subject
"Really? He's - he's okay?" She finally began to calm. "And you know where he's kept himself? Oh please, if you can show me, I'd be eternally grateful!"
See her eyes? These a big green eyes of hopefulness. You've just granted her her biggest wish, Axel.
no subject
Axel lifted himself up from his position on the ground. "Now if you'll just follow me, before you know it, you'll be reunited with -- Timmy again, in no time."
The Nobody began his steps at a slow pace, so that she could match it. "Of course, there are a few things you should know about this place, too..."
no subject
"I've never even seen a place like this," she admits, a bit of awe in her voice. There was probably a lot of things she needed to know about this place. She never even stuck around long enough to here its name.
no subject
no subject
"Paixao, is it? So who are these 'no goodniks', eh?"
no subject
He looked down towards the newest arrival, "But other than that, Paixao isn't too, too bad. Heck, you might even find more familiar faces here than you realize."
no subject
Unless Uncle Max or any of the rest of the clan was here, she doubts she'd know anyone other than her son. But that was alright. She'd be fine, once she made sure he was.
no subject
"Of course..." he continued, "meerkats didn't really strike me as the type to want to get involved in trouble though. Am I right?"
Sorry, Ma.
And then, he caught it. There were two odd scents he had never encountered before. One was of an animal, probably one that burrowed because he could smell some fresh dirt too. The other scent...he couldn't even describe it, but it had to lead to something interesting. Toboe followed it, and soon, ran into a human with a rat-thing walking next to him.
There was prey around here! Without so much a thought, Toboe dropped his illusion and yipped, running straight for the little rat. He'd catch it, and bring it to Tsume to show that there was something to hunt in this city, and that he was capable of getting it himself.
Sorry, Toboe.
Ma really did like to stay out of trouble, it was the best way to keep safe, after all. But by no means was Ma something in this city to hunt. Not when she was so close to finding her son after so much searching. She wasn't going to let some scruff of a hound stop her.
Not that she had anything to defend herself with - and then she remembered the "rock" (her journal) between her paws and she wings it through the air aimed squarely for Toboe's head.
"STAY BACK!"
no subject
"This guy really came outta no where, eh?" He leaned down slightly, nodding towards Ma, and in a low tone offering -- "Hide behind me if you need to," as he started addressing the newest addition.
"Yo there. Hello? You one of those animals that can talk, too?"
no subject
That is, until the human talked to him. He got back up and stepped back, obviously afraid of him. The odd smell. the one he couldn't identify. It was coming from him. What did that mean?
Toboe froze, not sure what to do. This human didn't seem dangerous. He didn't have a gun or anything, but he was the first to acknowledge that Toboe was indeed there. He gave a slow, silent nod, muscles tensed, ready to run.
no subject
Especially since she was weapon-less now.
no subject
He leaned forward, grabbing the journal that belonged to her and offering it back to Ma. "Yours?"
And then he turned back to Toboe, "If you're hungry, I'm sure there's got to be some creatures of lesser intelligence roaming in one of the forests. Maybe you oughta try there, lassie."
[He's still in his wolf form]
Toboe laid himself on the ground and gazed at the little rodent. "I'm sorry. I won't eat you. I won't let my friends eat you either." He ignored the statement from human. He didn't know what a lassie was, so he didn't know if it was an insult or not. Besides, he was much more interested in the meerkat thing, even if he wasn't going to chase it anymore. He had never seen one before, and he wanted to know more about it.
no subject
Ma relaxes when the canine speaks. "Oh, that's a relief. I'd really not like to be eaten."
Still, she remains hidden by Axel's foot.

Toboe was still gazing at the meerkat, cocking his head as he stepped forward a little. "Are you looking for the other one? Maybe I can sniff him out for you!"
no subject
She looks away from the wolf and then to her guide. "He knows the way. We're heading towards it now."
no subject
no subject
"Oh, ok. I hope you find him." Toboe turned to leave. Looks like he would be coming up empty-handed to Tsume. Hopefully, he'd still be able to find something that would catch his friend's attention and respect.
Oi, sorry.
She jerks her head up at Axel. "Can we get going?"
/sorrier
He turned on his heel, continuing on in the direction of Timon's hideout. "And how rude of me, I didn't even ask what I should be calling you, miss?"
/sorriest
She maybe, just maybe, had been tapping her foot lightly, Axel. He wasn't the only one with plans! Although hers was much less evil and mischievous... but hey, to each their own. "Yeah, yeah. I'm good with the careful, don't you worry."
She sighs, following him after a moment.
"Simply known as Ma where I come from. Too many to take care of, they might as well all be my children..." She smiles fondly at the thought. It wasn't a bad thing.
/BY THESE POWERS COMBINED, I AM CAPTAIN SORRY! also, cool~! i can sum this up pretty quick...
As he led, he took the opportunity to explain the 'rock' object to her -- detailing the journal system and how to use the device. The more people that made use of it, the easier it was to spy on them, anyway. Win-win situation as far as the Nobody was concerned. And then, before he knew it...
"Ah. Here we are," they stood before a large building, the apartments, and hideout of certain troublemakers within the city. "I'm sure your Timmy will be glad to see you, Ma."
He took a step backward, extending an arm in indication for her to proceed. "Shouldn't be too hard to find him. And be sure to let him know... his pal Axel is always looking out for him~" he added with a grin.
