Out and About [Active, Open]

Character(s): Remus Lupin, wolf, and anyone else.
Content: Remus is restless after healing enough to go out and explore Paixao a bit.
Setting: Starting at Wolf's apartment, then going around Paixao.
Time: Late morning/early afternoon week 26
Warnings: An apparently snappy Wolf, but nothing too dangerous.

Remus Lupin had been bed-ridden for one week, and another week just plain stuck in Wolf's flat, as the man didn't think he was well enough to go out.

Well, now he knew he was well enough to go out. He needed fresh air, and he was still very curious about this odd city and the different 'worlds' Wolf had mentioned when they first met. Although he still wore bandages, Remus' wounds were closed and not about to break open unless he put himself through a lot of physical stress, which probably wouldn't happen because he was a wizard and always carried his wand.

Remus changed into his clothes which he had mended through his magic and slipped on his cloak, double-checking that his wand was in his pocket. He planned on just walking out of the apartment, and if Wolf stopped him, he'd say he was fine and just move past him. If he tried harder, Remus would put a small hex on him. He was suffering a bit from cabin-fever, and thus, a little cranky.

Remus raised a brow. By now, they had reached the park and Remus made a bee-line to the closest bush to collect jewels. He returned to Wolf, giving him a face to show that he didn't approve of the situation.

"Alright, fine." Just because Remus had yet to become an adult didn't mean he was helpless. Sooner or later, he'd show how capable he was to Wolf.

It was time to change the subject. "So, where is this pawn shop you were talking about?"

Blue had been sniffing everywhere trying to find any sign of Tear, but all the scents that she had found were old and gave her no new trails to follow. She since had thought she had come across Tsume's scent, but she couldn't yet confirm it... Now though, there was definitely something familiar about the area, and that led the half-wolf towards Remus and Wolf, neither that seemed wolf, but... that wasn't new to Blue.

She dons the human illusion when she approaches them, just in case.

"...Hello."

Wolf sniffed, there was another wolf among them. He glanced over and saw the girl before them. Was she another half wolf? This was surprising to Wolf, but he didn’t want to draw attention to them since they were in public. Wolf eyes widen a bit as he turned around, a bit astonished to say anything he could only speak, “Hello…”

Remus turned with Wolf, seeing a rather fine looking young woman in front of him. He smiled. "Hi. Can we help you with anything?"

Of course, Remus couldn't smell the wolf on her, since those senses only came out when he transformed on the full moon. To the werewolf, this person was just another human, most likely a muggle trapped within the ~~city~~ castle.

Her attention was mostly fixated on Wolf, but she gave Remus a smile. "No, not really. I just couldn't help but approach. Call it... following my nose." She chuckles. "You gentlemen seem to have something in common."

Wolf kinda smirked, he knew exactly what she was talking about. Might as well be a gentleman to this one. He chuckled, “Well huff puff, your nose does not lie young miss, name’s Wolf and this my friend Remus.”

The scruffy man held out his hand for the greeting, he was certainly happy to know another half wolf was here. Not only that, but a girl! Things seem to be looking up for this little wolf pack.

Followed her nose? How many half-wolves were around this place?

Remus noted that her attention was mostly on Wolf. If she was half wolf, that would make sense. It was obvious their sense of smell was much stronger than normal humans.

He just nodded in her direction and kept the smile on his face. "We're going to the pawn shop to look around if you'd like to come with us." Remus wouldn't mind more company. He liked Wolf, but his random howling could get a little grating after a while.

'Wolf'; that seemed pretty ironic, huh? "Nice to meet you both. I'm Blue."

She could go with them; her prime goal was trying to find any traces of Tear, but she's searched most of the city. A break would be nice. "Sure. I don't see why not."

“A pleasure to meet you as well Blue,” Wolf grinned, putting his hands in his pockets. He glanced over at Remus, looks like he collected enough jewels and started the walk with them to the pawnshop.

“So where are you from? Before you came to Paixao anyway?” Wolf asked Blue out of curiosity, he wanted to know whether this girl was from the same world or not. If she wasn’t then he wondered if their were other wolves like her their as well.

"Pleasure."

Remus followed a little behind Blue and Wolf, feeling a little left out. (He also noted the odd names, but at least 'Blue' wasn't such an obvious one.) A werewolf was much different than these half-wolves, and Remus didn't want to get in the way. He was interested in where Blue came from though. He wondered how many worlds were out there, and if any of them had any impact on each other. Maybe he's figure that out while he was stuck here.

Blue hesitates a moment on her answer, then a sad smile crosses her face. "A dying world. Paixao in my home, now." She doubted she could ever go back and... she wouldn't want to. Not without the old man and Hige. What kind of home would that be?

"And you both?" She glances back at Remus.

Wolf nodded, that’s understandable, a world that is dying something that he wouldn’t want to go back to either. He was rather hesitant to go back to his world as well. Though Wolf knew he needed to see Virginia again and at least know that she’s all right. He glanced to the side at the thought of her for a bit, but decided it was best not to think on that too much.

“I’m from the Nine Kingdoms, a place of enchantment,” Wolf explained, though he knew he had to go back there eventually. He glanced over to Remus, his world had magic in it too, but he knew his friend probably did wanted to go back to it soon.

Remus was surprised to hear what had come out of Blue's mouth. A dying world? Before now he was so focused on getting himself back home and learning about Paixao that he had never thought of worse places to be. (Other than Azkaban of course, but Remus didn't have to worry about that place.)

"I'm from a place called England. I go to a boarding school for witches and wizards called Hogwarts." And boy did he miss it. God only knew what high-jinx James and Sirius would pull without him around as the groups conscience. In fact, they were probably doing something stupid like looking for him in the forbidden forest without help from any of the professors. That, and there was the growing fear from the Death Eaters...

"It'd be best for me to get back as soon as I can, but I haven't found any clues to do so."

"Witches and wizards?" she blinks, not quite understanding.

"There's the rumor if we get to the top, that people can go home. But... the other floors are pretty dangerous." She knows from experience; she was still healing from some of the injuries one of the Heartless in Halloween Town gave her.

Wolf glanced over to Blue as they walked. The castle definitely had some dangerous levels, including that Halloween Town. Though reluctant as he may be to go back there, he knew that he did need to press onward to find if there was a way out of the castle. Wolf wouldn’t be able to stand the thought losing his friends to the Evil Queen back in his world. Though he did speak out toward this, “I’ve explored a few places, back in that old Abandoned Church. If there are more places that are hidden, that are suppose to be levels in this whole world, then they do need to be explored soon.”

Looking at Remus, if he were to go exploring again, then he should definitely bring his friend along. It would help to have someone who knows magic on his side. Knowing the other half wolf might have been to another level, Wolf could only guess where she might have been, “I’m guessing you have been to that Halloween Town too?”

Remus looked at Blue and gave her a surprised look. "I suppose witches and wizards are unheard of where you come from?"

He listened closely to what Blue and wolf had to say, and he got the picture when Wolf looked at him. Oh, he would certainly be coming along. He was glad to see that Wolf seemed to want him to come along. Surely, Remus would be able to figure out the magic this placed ran on eventually. It might take some time and a few heads beating on a table, but Remus was confident he's be able to get to the top of this place and figure out what was really going on.

Maybe she wouldn't be alone when she went back through after all... That would be something, wouldn't it? She missed her old friends, but she was glad they've (hopefully) moved on after so long. It was about time she started to make new ones.

"Nope. Never heard of them." Sounds like something the Nobles would have hidden away, though.

She stumbles a bit when Wolf voices Halloween Town and looks sharply at him, a bit of worry in her eyes. Did he have... similar trouble? Was he alright? "Yes. It was..." She sighs.

Wolf exchanged the same look of concern and worry. Then mixed with the feelings of remembering what happened back there, he winced, “I know, it’s not a pleasant experience there, especially if you run into the shape shifting heartless. The boggarts.”

The very thought of encountering such a creature frankly frightens Wolf to the core. He knew that if he encountered them again, he would need some assistance. Wolf didn’t want to admit it, but he felt like he wouldn’t know what to do if he were to encounter dangerous heartless again. Thought he was sure that he could probably handle them himself, but the fear still remained in his heart.

"I see." Well, that was something nice to know. Of course, Remus had a feeling that he would have to explain the whole concept to Blue sooner or later, but he'd count on later. There were other things to worry about, like the pair of worried expressions the pair wore.

Remus quietly sighed. "Don't worry about the boggarts, Wolf. I know how to take care of those things." He didn't know why Wolf called them heartless, but Remus didn't really care. He just wanted to get rid of the thing. It was third-year stuff. A piece of cake to a wizard like Remus.

"Boggarts? Is that what they were called?" She shivers at the memory, then realizes she never got the name of the person that saved her. That was unfortunate... At Remus's comment, she looks back in awe. "You do? That's amazing!"

Wolf smiled at Remus, it’s good to have a wizard for a friend certainly. If he knows how to take care of those guys, that will definitely makes things easier for them. Wolf nodded at Blue, he agreed with her. “Awwoo, we’re sure are lucky that we know someone who knows how to handle magic,” he chuckled.

Looking up, Wolf soon realized that they were right across from the pawn shop. “Oh! There it is,” Wolf lead the way toward the place, opening the door for Blue and Remus first to come inside. Entering in with them to look at few of the things in there.

If they had been in London, Remus would have had to shut Wolf up, speaking about magic in a muggle area. This place seemed a lot different though, so he just smiled, feeling a little big-headed. Hanging out with James and Sirius had certainly effected him in some aspects.

Remus nodded to Wolf in thanks and entered the pawn shop. It was dark and musky inside, and it reminded him a lot of Ollivander's Wand Shop. He moved in enough so he wasn't blocking the door, but stood still a little so his eyes could adjust to the sudden drop in light. When they did adjust, Remus had trouble focusing on any particular part of the shop. There so many different things scattered everywhere. Remus didn't know where to start looking.

Blue was still curious about the whole magic thing, but she didn't prod. Instead she put her curiosity to the shop, smiling to Wolf as she entered, then peering about.

"Is there something in particular you two were searching for?" She generally didn't buy anything except for sustenance. What else was there a need for?

Wolf looked over at Remus who was gazing at the different intricate items in the shop. He patted him on the shoulder and gestured with a chuckle, “How about we start down this aisle, huh? Maybe they got some stuff that are of some use to you.” It would be interesting to say the least if they find anything of enchantment or something useful. Wolf thought the most important part was to find something to be of use later.

Turning to face Blue, Wolf put his hands in his pockets with a grin, “Oh not really, we’re just out on the town really, exploring, looking at different places and things. How about yourself?”

Remus left Wolf and Blue and wandered deeper into the pawn shop. He had yet to catch anything magical, though he saw plenty of things a lot of mugggles would be interested in. There was a nice display of knives, swords, and even some firearms. In another area, there was some clothing, mostly things like hats and gloves. Remus tried on a three-cornered hat just for fun, but put it back.

And then he came upon a section that really caught his eye. Books. Lots of them. Remus slowed his pace and looked at each book, one at a time. There was a little of everything really. Except, of course, what he wanted, which was books on magical subjects, but he really couldn't expect much.

And then a certain book caught his eye. It was a relatively small book shoved in the back of larger ones, it's worn cover barely visible. He reached for it, looking at what had once been a nice leather cover, now worn, faded, and covered in dust. He blew off the dust and flipped through the pages...

And they were all blank. He frowned, but held on to it anyway. Maybe it was just some old unused journal. Still, there was something about it that made him want to keep it, so he went back to the front of the store to find the register.
