Out and About [Active, Open]

Character(s): Remus Lupin, wolf, and anyone else.
Content: Remus is restless after healing enough to go out and explore Paixao a bit.
Setting: Starting at Wolf's apartment, then going around Paixao.
Time: Late morning/early afternoon week 26
Warnings: An apparently snappy Wolf, but nothing too dangerous.

.

Remus Lupin had been bed-ridden for one week, and another week just plain stuck in Wolf's flat, as the man didn't think he was well enough to go out.

Well, now he knew he was well enough to go out. He needed fresh air, and he was still very curious about this odd city and the different 'worlds' Wolf had mentioned when they first met. Although he still wore bandages, Remus' wounds were closed and not about to break open unless he put himself through a lot of physical stress, which probably wouldn't happen because he was a wizard and always carried his wand.

Remus changed into his clothes which he had mended through his magic and slipped on his cloak, double-checking that his wand was in his pocket. He planned on just walking out of the apartment, and if Wolf stopped him, he'd say he was fine and just move past him. If he tried harder, Remus would put a small hex on him. He was suffering a bit from cabin-fever, and thus, a little cranky.

Wolf walked out of his room, he was a bit scruffy, and grumbling under his breathe. Apparently he’s a bit grumpy, and woke up late. Wolf waved at Remus before heading to the fridge to get something to eat.

“Hey Remus, you feelin’ any better?” Wolf asked as he reached for the jug of Apple Juice in the fridge. He was thinking he could fry some delicious bacon and eggs. Wolf peered around the fridge. He grabbed some of the uncured bacon and kicked the door shut as he walked over to the cabinet to proceed to have his breakfast. “Did you eat anything yet? I’m about to make some food.”

Wolf chuckled to himself, “Yea, it looks like it’s almost afternoon.” He gave out a sniff and slight growl at trying to wake up. Wolf then scratched the side of his neck a bit before coming over to the sink to wash his hands.

“Couldn’t sleep very well last night, I kept thinking over too many things,” Wolf conversed with Remus, trying to keep himself focused on fixing breakfast. He then turned around to look at Remus, “It’s eggs and bacon today, how would you like your eggs?”

Grinning back at Remus, Wolf continued to prepare breakfast for the two of them. As he was mixing the yolk in the bowl, he heard the mention of tea. Wolf had to ponder on that, did he get tea? He walked over to one of the cabinets to check, he pulled out one of the tins and checked it.

“Yup, we got some black tea here, do you want sugar or milk with it?” Wolf asked as he closed the cabinet. He usually prefers tea to coffee. Too much caffeine just makes him jittery and nervous. And right now, was not the best of times for him to have that. Wolf’s been pretty cautious around those he cares about, this included Remus. Though, he felt reasons to suspect him, but he can’t distinguish what exactly it was for Wolf to be suspicious about Remus. He tried to shrug off the feeling as he boiled the water, but still the feeling lingered his mind and he couldn’t keep off it. Though the smell of bacon seemed to relax him for the time being and he’ll just have to see if Remus has been up to anything lately that would account for anything particularly mistrustful.

Now that Wolf thought about it though, Remus was near the door earlier, but why exactly? He glanced over at his werewolf companion as he finished cooking the scrambled eggs, “Were you thinking about going somewhere?” Wolf asked, hoping for a truthful answer.

Wolf poured the boiling water over the silk tea bag. He glanced over at Remus at the mention of actually thinking about going outside. Wolf was quiet for a minute, trying to compose his thoughts as he brought out the plates for the finished bacon and scrambled eggs. If Remus was thinking about going outside by himself he had another thing coming, Wolf took a deep breathe trying to keep himself calm from getting upset. After all, he just woke up and getting angry first is not a good thing. Wolf turned around with plates with eggs and bacon. Although his was mostly full of bacon while Remus’ had more of scrambled egg. He placed them on the table as spoke to Remus, “Well if it’s not too far that’s fine, you probably need the fresh air anyway, but I don’t want you goin’ out there by yourself. I’ll join you.”

The tone of Wolf’s voice was strong, he was positive that there were people out there that might take advantage of Remus or if his friend was up to something, he didn’t want him going anywhere without him knowing what he’s doing. Wolf retrieved Remus’ mug of black tea and his cup of Apple Juice, placing them by their individual plate. He sat down in his seat. He was quite serious that he wasn’t going to change his mind on this. Although to be polite, Wolf glanced up at Remus with a small smirk, “If it’s not too much trouble that is, I think we both should spend time outside this apartment anyway.”

Wolf listened to Remus as he ate his own breakfast. Once he heard that Remus wanted to go by himself, he knew that it’s going to take a lot more convincing on his part to go with the boy. What if he hurts himself or worse someone hurts him? Wolf didn’t want to give out right away that he’s suspicious of a lot of people, but his gut was definitely going off with most of the people he’s been around and trusted. He found that usually he was right about his feelings and instinct knows no bounds.

Leaning back, Wolf quirked his eyebrow at Remus, “What? And stare at the walls of the apartment all day, I don’t think so. Grrrf, if anything I know that being cooped up in one place alone can drive any wolf insane, whether that be you or me.” He smirked at his friend, aha, now who was being the stubborn one, eh? Wolf lifted his cup of apple juice to his lips, “I need to go exploring around the city myself, see what’s going on here. My suspicion is that it’s something to do with that fog that’s been going on in the middle of the night. For some reason a lot of folks are acting strange, did you check out the journals?”

Though Wolf’s observation was correct, his own senses didn’t make him realize that the fog affected him himself. Becoming suspicious of those he has trusted or know well. It was making him protective and predatory, especially around those he cared for. Wolf simply felt that something was amiss, and he had to find out what it was. Was the Evil Queen behind this? It may be possible.

Wolf shrugged at first, but saw his can fly off his plate. He attempted to grab it back, but too late Remus ate it. Wolf made a slight whimper. That just simply wasn’t fair, with magic and all. And did he really have to go and eat his bacon? It was really good too!

Giving a frown at the lost bacon, Wolf placed his against his palms in a pout. “I know you can take care of yourself and all, but… Awwwooo, I still wanna go with ya you know!” He spoke as a matter of factly, after all, it was the principle of the thing. Wolf tried playing the cute card with Remus, it seemed to work sometimes with some of his friends. “Coooome on, look, I promise I won’t be a pain in the butt,” Wolf tilted his head, put his hand over her heart, “Cross my heart and climb a beanstalk!”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-11-11 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yes, childish as it was, playing this card always works. Which is good, because usually it works to Wolf’s favor. Even if it just freaks the person out, because they really can’t tell whether he’s serious or not, in this case he just wanted to play with Remus. Though Wolf would need to think of a different card for next time. He smirked as his voice went back to being manly and tough finally giving out a laugh, “Not a problem.”

Finishing the meal Wolf got up and put his plate in the sink. Unluckily for him he didn’t have a wand to send it over there. Wolf grabbed his keys and shoes then headed to the door, he looked back to make sure his tail was tucked in and all. Then grinned at Remus as he waited by the door for him. Just as planned. “So where shall we go first?” Wolf asked.

Wolf opened the door for him and Remus to walk out. He looked at the door while he closed the door behind em. Did he leave anything that was important in there? Well, there were those records that Genie gave him earlier, like the Queen album and what not. Wolf wouldn’t think anyone would go after those though. He glanced back and forth, but, yet again someone could barge in and wait to attack them there, “Sure go ahead and put a magic lock on it. Nothing really is important in there, but just to be safe from anyone barging in. It’s a good idea.”

Wolf was quite impressed with Remus’ magic, he seemed to be handling it pretty well. He might be very well a really good wizard in the future.

Starting to contemplate some of the places that were nearby the apartments, there were a few that came to Wolf’s mind. He thought to himself some of the buildings that weren’t too far, “Let’s see there’s the Carta Para Ti, and I heard that place is full astrology and fortune telling. There’s also a park that's pretty nearby here, I usually just walk around that place. There’s also the Glass Bonsai, and the Art Museum, those are a little bit more of a walk though.”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-11-16 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
As they walked out of the apartment Wolf conversed with Remus, “Oh the Glass Bonsai is like a pawn shop, they got a bunch of random items in there. Some interesting and useful, some, well not so much.” He scratched the side of his chin as they came to the sidewalk outside the apartment.

Wolf knew some other places if Remus wasn’t interested in any of those. A while back ago him and Beryl did a bit of exploring around the city. It was really good for him to check out all the sites and places too, it’ll give him opportunity to know what to expect when going into a shop or restaurant. Wolf smiled as he put his hands in his pocket, “So you wanna head there first?”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-11-18 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf nodded, “Oh that’s no problem, the park is close by there, so there’s probably an abundance of jewels there.” He walked along side Remus as they went on their way. He smiled at his friend. It was good to be out with someone he knew he could trust. Hopefully these feelings Wolf’s has been feeling lately were mistaken. He knew that he’s been feeling suspicious of some folks that have been getting close to him recently. So far Remus and Osaka were the only ones that seem all right to him. Remus hasn’t done anything so far to seem out of the ordinary, but that’s why he was trying to keep a close eye on him.

Glancing over Wolf decided to bring up his thoughts with Remus as they strolled along. “Awwoo… Remus, can I talk to you about something? It’s been on my mind for a while, and…” He looked down, “And I don’t want anything bad to happen.”

[identity profile] throwtheroses.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Wolf sighed, trying to compose his thoughts as they walked, “Well, you see there’s this guy I knew, Zidane, at least I thought I did, but… I think he’s working for this evil Queen I knew, and I’m getting a really bad feeling in my gut. She can make people bend to her will, and Zidane, I know that he probably has a spell on him,” Wolf explained. He glared off to the side, “I think he’s trying to manipulate Osaka against me and…”

The scruffy man seemed rather conflicted as he put his finger through his hair while massaging his temple. He wasn’t sure whether he was right or wrong, but he felt like Zidane was doing something horrible. Wolf then shook his head with a growl, “Nevermind, you don’t need to worry about this, I’m gonna talk to him later.”

Glancing over Wolf could see that they were getting pretty close to the park. He gave a small smile at his friend’s offer. He’d rather Remus wouldn’t get involved, mostly because he’s worried he might become injured again. Wolf sighed as they approached some of the plant life that bares jewels.

“I think I can handle him by myself, you don’t need to worry,” Wolf spoke casually, “I will give you a call though if I need you.” He meant it, knowing Remus would probably do best as back up, rather than springing into action. Wolf had a suspicion that Zidane wouldn’t be too hard to confront. Though he cannot tell just how powerful the guy is yet. Which makes the situation relatively worse, because he won’t know the outcome if there was a fight.
