Are you there, Genie? It's me, Urd. [Completed]

Character(s): Urd, Genie
Content: Urd finally returns to her original form!
Setting: Urd's house in zone M6.
Time: Week 23, sunset
Warnings: None.

"What're you lookin' at?" Urd grumbled at the feline lumen that was presently glaring at her from across the living room. Thanks to the nearly empty bottle of booze on its side next to her on the floor, she spoke with a slur, her face flushed. She glared back at the lumen, affectionately dubbed Poncho by Genie, before sighing and flopping on to her back to watch the dimming light of sunset travel over the ceiling. As for Poncho, he rested his head on his paws, curled up on the back of a chair, still watching the goddess warily. They'd settled into an uneasy truce, but it was doubtful that they'd ever really like each other.

She'd been in this form too long. True, she was still able to accomplish things even without her powers and it had even been a little fun for awhile. But there were two things that made her anxious to get back to normal -- the first, of course, was the knowledge that the object of her feelings didn't even seem to care one way or the other that she'd been turned into a child. Every time Genie called her adorable and treated her like a beloved little sister, Urd felt her heart clench...though it was nice to be the recipient of his attention no matter what the circumstances.

The second, arguably more important concern was that there were battles ahead and she needed to be at full power. She could feel that quiet, inexorable pull of fate and destiny guiding them all to one direction and it was about time she had a stronger hand in it. Larxene returning, new worlds opening up, to say nothing of all the mortals that needed firm and divine guidance from yours truly! There were things to deal with!

Urd closed her eyes and sighed again, the very picture of melancholy. The Doctor had been a fascinating character to visit, no doubt. Unfortunately, she'd returned with his autograph for Genie and not much else. There was no immediate fix. She had to wait on Genie. After all, the situation was complicated and even for a djinn, there could be no easy out. But Urd wasn't patient even on her best days and now, she was in a full-fledged pout that not even Yorda or Neirenn could get her out of.

"S'not fair..." she whispered, eyes still closed. On the chair, Poncho's ears twitched.

Genie fell deadly silent after opening the oven door. Only once the steam had cleared did he revert back to life, likely to have startled Poncho in the other room for the second time that day by doing so in a rowdy fashion. But this was nothing short for Genie. “SUCCESS!” He cried out, throwing both arms into the air enthusiastically. Gosh, he had been so worried the mold would not have worked. He could not help but feel proud of his accomplishment. “Go, Genie! Go, Genie! Go, go, go, Genie!” he cheered, dancing around the kitchen for a moment before he realized he had yet to remove the stone itself from the oven.

He quickly pulled a pair of tongs out of one of the kitchen drawers and carefully removed the stone from the oven. “Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me?” Genie sang in response to Urd’s giggling. He smiled back at her and placed the stone down on a cooling rack he set up prior. It would not take long to cool but until then remained hazardous to touch. “M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E! You like it? I just couldn’t help myself. ”
